Joan M. Kemble age 77, of Port Jervis, NY passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Morristown, New Jersey. She was born on August 26, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of William and Dorothy Hensz Kemble. Joan graduated from East Stroudsburg University, attaining her Master’s Degree in Education. She taught for thirty plus years at the Eldred Central School as an elementary school teacher and a reading specialist. Joan was also a secretary for the Eldred Faculty Assoc. After her retirement from Eldred, Joan continued to teach part time at the Sylvan Learning Center in Middletown, NY. She was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Port Jervis, a member of the New York State Retired Teacher’s Assoc, and a member of the New York State Reading Council. Joan married Vincent Smith, who survives at home. She is also survived b y her son, Sean Kemble of Montague, New Jersey, her sister Rita Pongrac of Holly Springs, N.C., and several cousins. Joan was pre-deceased by her cousin, John Hensz, Jr. Visitation will be held 10 AM-12 Noon, Monday, May 3rd, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Marianne K. Armour age 84 of Port Jervis, NY passed away April 22, 2021, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on Septamber 27, 1936 in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth McAndrew Baird. Marianne retired as an assembler from Kolmar Labs, Inc, in Port Jervis, NY. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Port Jervis. Marianne married James M. Armour who pre-deceased her on Sept. 6, 1993. She is survived by her two daughters; Catherine Bugiada and her husband David of Springfield, TN, Victoria Weed of Whitehouse, TN, and her son William Weed of Hartsville, TN, her beloved seven grandchildren; Jennifer, Jason, Jessica, John, Danielle, Carlos and Lauren, her 10 great grandchildren; Seth, Noah, Tyler, Olivia, Mason, Bronson, Logan, Anthony, Gianna, and Nico, several nieces and nephews. Marianne was pre-deceased by her daughter Sharon A. Rothschild, her grandson, Joseph Bugiada, her brothers; Kevin, James, and Richard Baird, and her sister-in-law Barbara Baird. Carla M. Simmons age 69 of Port Jervis, NY passed away, April 14, 2021 at Garnet Medical Center, Middletown, NY. She was born on August 4, 1951 in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of the late Carl and Hazel Irwin, Sr. She graduated from SUNY New Paltz, earning her Bachelor’s Degree. Carla retired as an administrator at the Orange County Clerks Office in Goshen, NY, after many years of dedicated service. She was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Port Jervis, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Madonna #114, Port Jervis and a member of the Old Mine Road Chapter, Daughters of The American Revolution, Port Jervis. Carla was pre-deceased by her first husband, Richard E. Harding and her second husband Dennis W. Simmons. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Wortman and her husband Rick of Vestal, NY, her two sisters; Michele Kowal and her husband Joseph, of Port Jervis, Christa Irwin Lovelace of Port Jervis, and her brother J.R. Irwin and his wife Kathy of Matamoras, PA, her beloved grandchildren; Ashley and Erick Wortman and her great grandson, Theodore Wortman Green, her brothers-in-law, Timothy Simmons and his wife Linda of Port Jervis, and Daniel Simmons and his wife Molly of Ft. Myers, Florida, Fred Harding and his wife Cindy of Yankee Lake, and her sister-in-law, Carol Simmons of Port Jervis, several nieces and nephews. Edward C. Weishuff age 77, of Port Jervis, NY passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, NY. He was born on May 22, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Edward and Muriel Davis Weishuff. Ed retired as a roll tender from R & R Donnelley Printing Co., in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He is survived by his two daughters; Dena Wood and her husband Leigh of Glen Spey, NY, Nicole LaPearl of Tampa, Florida, his beloved grandchildren; Ryan Wood and his fiancé Lauren Frey of Eldred, Lauren and Dylan Williams of Glen Spey, Alyssa and Alexandra LaPearl of Tampa, Florida, and several cousins of Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was raised by his loving “parents” Ruby and the late Ridgeway Egan of Spartanburg. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. William Lawson Niles age 53, of Port Jervis N.Y. passed
away on Saturday April 10,2021 in Port Jervis.
He was born in Harris N.Y. on October 3, 1967. He was the beloved
son of Gene Niles Sr. and Sonja Tangen Niles
who predeceased him. Bill was a graduate of
Port Jervis High School and Orange County
Community College, Middletown, NY. He worked as a Security
Officer at Resorts World Casino in Monticello ,NY
Bill is survived by his brother, Gene Niles Jr. and his
wife Debbie of Hawley PA, his sisters; Cathy Cabell
and her husband Robert of Colorado Springs Co,
and Janinne Bariletti and her husband Steven of Town
Greenville N.Y. He is also survived by several
neices and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the

Jeannine R. Lincoln, age 63 of Huguenot, NY passed away April 1, 2021 at Garnet Medical Center, Middletown, NY. She ws born on May 10, 1957 in Lubec, Maine, the daughter of the late Raymond and Jeanne McNamara Lincoln. Jeannine graduated from Port Jervis High School. She continued her education at Orange County Community College earning her associate’s degree and then attended Bridgeport University. Jeannine worked as an accountant clerk for the New York State Dept.of Corrections, at the Mid Orange Correctional Facility in Warwick, NY. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Port Jervis, and an active member with the Deerpark Seniors. Jeannine was an inspiration with strength and determination. She handled obstacles in life that most could not. She is free now, and moves easily with the wind. Jeannine is survived by her brothers; William Lincoln and his wife Margaret of Wurtsboro, NY, and James Lincoln and his wife Laura of Midlothian, Virginia, her sister Kathy Barnes and her husband Guy of Cuddebackville, NY, her nephew, Michael Barnes, her nieces; Tina Lincoln Driggs, Annemarie Lincoln, and Kimberly Chappell. She was always embraced and loved by her extended Lincoln and Barnes families. Jeannine was known as “sister and aunt Jeannine to each”. George T. Carter age 84, of Port Jervis, NY passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Alliance Adult Living in Matamoras, Pennsylvania. He was born on August 18, 1936 in Marshall, Virginia, the son of Richard and Catherine Carter Hathaway. George proudly served our country from 1958-1962 with the US Army. In his earlier years, he was an active member of the Moose Lodge. George is survived by his two sisters, Rachel Talmadge of Port Jervis and Betty Sexton and her husband Joseph of Port Jervis, his brother Ronald Hathaway, several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his son, Jeffrey Carter, his sisters; Dorothy Simkins, Margaret Mapes and Lois Kampka Nagy, his brother, Franklin Carter, his niece Tammy Sexton, his nephews, Gregory Talmadge and Joseph Sexton,Jr. his grand nephew Gregory Talmadge and his brother-in-law Edward Talmadge.
