WILLIAM E. JONES, MIDDLETOWN, NEW YORK

William E. Jones, age 71, of Middletown, NY, passed away May 30, 2018 at Middletown, NY. He was born in Middletown, NY on February 21, 1947 the son of William and LaVera Stephens Jones. Bill proudly served our country with the US Army during the Viet Nam War. He retired as a chemical compounder for Hercules Chemical in Middletown, NY. He was a faithful attendee of the Greenville United Methodist Church. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed dairy farming. Bill married Patti Shill Jones who survives at home. He is also survived by his son William E. Jones, Jr. and his fiancé Tarez Eisen of Middletown., his beloved grandsons Evan and Ryan Jones, his sister Barbara Ashworth and her husband Richard of Westbrookville, brother Gary and sister-in-law Linda Jones of Pennsdale, PA, and brother Stephen Jones and sister-in-law Cheryl of Franklinton, N.C., as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 2-4 PM Sunday, June 3, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, June 4 at the Greenville United Methodist Church,1686 Greenville Tpk, Port Jervis, NY. Rev. Paul C. Zorn will officiate. Michael C. Long age 70 of Port Jervis, NY passed awayThursday, May 31, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. He was born on October 15, 1947 in Norwich, NY the son of William and Elizabeth Pauley Varcoe. Michael retired from for Nelco of Walden, NY. Michael married Elizabeth Brady Long who pre-deceased him. He is survived by his three sons; Michael Long of Charity, South Carolina, John Long of West Virginia, Steven Long and his companion Amanda Rake of Middletown, NY, his daughter Darlene Long of West Virginia, his long time companion Lois Donald at home, four sisters, Linda, Bonnie, Molly and Ella, his three brothers Butchie, Bobby and Jimmy, several grand and great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Michael was pre-deceased by his daughter Mary Ellen Long. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held 3-5 PM Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Tri-State Naval Ship #7241, 46 Barcelow St., Port Jervis, NY. Darlene Ann Phillips age 59 of Port Jervis, NY passed away May 28, 2018 at home. She was born on September 16, 1958 in Middletown, NY the daughter of the late Thomas T. and Evelyn Conklin Phillips. Darlene worked as a stock clerk for the Wal Mart Store in Westfall Township, PA. She is survived by her daughters Melissa McKane and her husband Chad of Port Jervis, Amanda DeGroat of Greentown, PA, her twin sister Marlene O’Hare and her husband Thomas O'Hare of Matamoras, PA, several siblings, her beloved grandchildren; Melissa, Chad, Jazmyn, Mya, and Kassidy, two great grandchildren; Jacobi and Ella and several nieces and nephews. ROSEMARIE KUCERA, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Rosemarie Kucera age 80 of Port Jervis, NY passed away May 24, 2018 at Milford Senior Care, Milford, PA. She was born on July 23, 1937 in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey the daughter of Harry and Katherine O’Conner Hawkins. Rosemarie retired as transportation director for the Port Jervis School District and secretary for the Port Jervis High School. She was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Port Jervis and a member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Elks #645, B.P.O.E.. She enjoyed going to the casino and loved to travel. Spending time with her family gave her the greatest joy of all. Rosemarie married George Kucera who pre-deceased her on February 4, 2001. She is survived by her two daughters Ellen Marie Mastrelli and her husband Brian Baird of Port Jervis, Patti Sibilia and her husband Chris of Westbrookville, her brother Harry Hawkins of Phoenix, Arizona, her beloved grandchildren; Joseph Mastrelli and his wife Emily, Joshua Baird, Scott Baird, Matthew Mastrelli, Adam Baird and Alex Sibilia, her great grandchildren; Brody Baird, Guy Matthew Mastrelli, and Dolores Jones who she considered her daughter. A Mass of Christian of Burial will be held 10 AM Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Port Jervis, NY. Rev. Matthew Newcomb will be the celebrant. RICHARD W. SAVANNAH, MATAMORAS, PENNSYLVANIA

Richard W. Savannah age 70 of Matamoras, PA passed away May 23, 2018 at his home. He was born on June 18, 1947 in Port Jervis, NY the son of the late Richard H. Savannah and Janice Hinkley Savannah Decker. Richard’s dad passed away five days prior on May 18, 2018. Richard proudly served our country during the Vietnam War with the US Air Force. He retired as a railroad engineer for New Jersey Transit, Hoboken, NJ after many years of dedicated service. Richard was a member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Elks, #645, B.P.O.E., Roosa-Fleming V.F.W. Post #161, Port Jervis, Marsch-Kellogg American Legion Post #139, Milford, PA, Matamoras Fire Dept., Stone Dock Hunting Club, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Port Jervis Country Club. Richard married Jean Gibbons Savannah who survives at home. He is also survived by his four sons; Richard Savannah, Jr. and his companion Alicia Wichmann of Port Jervis, Philip Savannah and his wife Kenzie of Bozeman, Montana, Jeffrey Porter and his wife Tara of Effort, PA, Stephen Porter and his wife Wendy of Matamoras, PA, his daughter Lisa Samson and her husband Andrew of Matamoras, PA, his beloved grandchildren; Stephen, Philip, Brittney, Keegan, Jasper, Chelsey, and Tenley, his three nieces; Christen Jones and her husband Dan, Angela Schwartz and her husband Keith, Dawn Beauchamp, several great nieces and nephews, his sister-in-law Mary Ellen VanWagenen of Woodstock, NY, his brother-in-law Bernie Gibbons and his wife Norma of Port Jervis, his sisters Kathleen Decker and her husband Obie of Port Jervis, Diane Predmore and her husband Richard of Sparrowbush, Cynthia Ellison and her husband Jim of Matamoras, Sherrill Galanakis of Port Jervis, Roger Savannah and his husband Michael of Port Jervis. RICHARD H. SAVANNAH, SR., PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Richard H. Savannah, Sr., age 90 of Port Jervis, NY, passed away May 18, 2018 at Port Jervis. He was born on November 19, 1927 in Glen Ridge, NY, the son of Frank and Louise Haberly Savannah. Richard proudly served our country during World War II with the U.S. Merchant Marines. He was a retired truck driver with the Teamsters Local, 445, Maybrook, NY. Richard married Betty Taylor Savannah who pre-deceased him. He is survived by his sons: Roger Savannah and his partner, Michael of Port Jervis, Richard Savannah, Jr. and his wife, Jeanne of Matamoras, PA; his daughters: Kathleen Decker and her husband, Obie of Cuddebackville, NY, Diane Predmore and her husband, Richard of Sparrowbush, Cindy Ellison and her husband, Jim of Matamoras, Sherill Galanakis of Port Jervis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his son, David Savannah; his brother, Frank Savannah; his sisters: Elaine, Gail and Jackie and his son-in-law, Tom Galanakis. Cremation will take place at HG Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, PA. Richard’s family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 26 at their home 7-9 Hill St., Port Jervis, NY. Philip Ingrassia age 85 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at his home. He was born on July 4, 1932 in Port Jervis, NY the son of Charles and Lillian Andriac Ingrassia. Philip proudly served our country during the Korean War with the US Navy. He retired as cutter from Calvert Coat Factory in Middletown, NY. He was a member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Elks, #645 B.P.O.E. Philip is survived by his brother Lawrence Prestimonico of Charlotte, NC; his cousins; Joseph Trotta and his wife Barbara of Port Jervis, James Trotta and his wife Linda of Matamoras, PA, Annie Mason and her companion Ramon of South Carolina, Josie Kerns and her husband Randall of Georgia, Marie Horn and her husband Percy of Sparrowbush, Thomas Rombousek and Dolores Hodges of Sparrowbush, Lucy Bosta of the State of Florida, Michelle Hagerty and her husband Dennis of Huguenot, James Andriack and his wife Gail of Montague, NJ, Julio and Ann Petiti, Louise Latini all of Port Jervis, his nephews; Nicholas, James, Michael and Joseph Ogrodnick, Lawrence Prestimonico, Jr., Gerald Rombousek his nieces Linda Gilmore, Donna Rombousek and Pamela Snobgrass, Philip was pre-deceased by his sisters Virginia Rombousek and Rose Ogrodnick. ROBERTA DOLORES "DEE" nee WESTFALL FISER, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Roberta Dolores “Dee” nee Westfall Fiser age 76 of Port Jervis, NY passed away May 14, 2018 at Port Jervis, NY. She was born on November 24, 1941 in Port Jervis the daughter of Herbert and Frances Quick Westfall. Dolores proudly served our country from 1964-1966 with the US Air Force. She was stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. Dolores graduated from Mt. St. Mary’s College and St. Lukes Hospital School of Nursing in Newburgh, NY achieving her RN, BSN . She was a faithful member, Deacon, choir member and organist of the Faith Reformed Church in South Centerville, NY for over 25 years. Dee was a former member of the choir at the Drew United Methodist Church in Port Jervis and a member of the Sweet Adelines. She was a member of the Order of the Amaranth Laurel Court #58, Port Jervis. Dolores married James Ronald Fiser who survives at home. She is also survived by her two daughters Frances Kathleen Morey and her husband Frank of Dingmans Ferry, PA, Loretta “Lori” Dolores Doss and her husband Steven of Port Jervis, four grandchildren Sarah and Stephanie Doss, Rebekah and Antonio “AJ” Gonzalez, her sister Marlene Beams and her husband Robert of Newburgh, NY, several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday, May 17 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. THOMAS J. LAHEY, JR., PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Thomas J. Lahey, Jr. age 90 of Port Jervis, NY passed away May 14, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Place, Port Jervis. He was born on December 15, 1927 in Port Jervis, NY the son of Thomas J. Lahey ,Sr. and Mae Hill Lahey. Tom proudly served our country with the US Air Force during the Korean War. He retired as a freight conductor with the Delaware Div. of the Erie-Lackawanna R.R. in Port Jervis and was a member of the United Transportation Union. Tom served as Vice President of the Port Jervis Schol District Board of Education. He was a member of the Deerpark Reformed Church in Port Jervis, a life member of the Sparrowbush Fire Dept., and a former first Lieutenant with the Howard Wheat Engine Co. # 4, Port Jervis Fire Dept., Tom married Beth L. Newman on June 12, 1966, celebrating 51 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife Beth at home, his sister-in-law Barbara Parker of Port Jervis, and several nieces and nephews including Jeffery Rhoades and his wife Heather of Port Jervis, Jo Ann Van Horn and her husband Carl of Sparrowbush, NY. He is also survived by his beloved pet dog “Mandy”. Tom was the last of 10 siblings. He was pre-deceased by his sisters, Francelia Gibbons, Monica Kozykowski, Florence Jones, Louise Izatt, Agnita Doyle, his five brothers, Francis, Bernard, James, Jack and Russell Lahey. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday, May 16, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY . CHARLES EDWARD HUNT, JR., TUCSON, ARIZONA, FORMERLY OF PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

“The lover of life’s not a sinner”. Charles Edward Hunt Jr. passed away on January 15, 2018 in Tucson, AZ at the age of 70 under the caring watch of his cousin Linda Glennen. Born in Morgantown, WV on July 9, 1947, he grew up in Rio, NY and graduated from Port Jervis High School in 1964. He served in the United States Air Force from 1964-1968 achieving the rank of Airman First Class. He lived much of his life in the western US, spending most of his time in Boulder, CO and Tucson, AZ. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward Hunt Sr. and Charlotte (Eckert) Hunt. Survivors include daughter Coral Hunt, sister Patricia Morgan, brother Michael Hunt Sr. and his wife Ann, several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many lifelong, devoted friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 15 from 10:30AM – 11:30AM with memorial services to follow at 11:30AM at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St. Port Jervis. Rev.
