AUDREY J. SELNECK, MILFORD, PENNSYLVANIA

Audrey J. Selneck, age 78 of Milford, Pennsylvania passed away, Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at her home.  She was born on December 11, 1935 in  Weatherly, Pennsylvania,  the daughter of  Bernard and Winifred Evans MacAlarney.  Audrey was a retired co-owner of Joe's Texaco Service Station in Matamoras, Pennsylvania.  She married Joseph J. Selneck, who pre-deceased her.  Audrey is survived by her two sons,  David Selneck and his wife Alice of Milford, Pennsylvania and Richard Selneck and his wife Celeste also of Milford. She is also survived by her three grandsons, David, Joseph and Alex Selneck, her thee sisters, Bernice Markle of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Winifred Higgins of Binghamton, NY, and  Judy Bauer of Matamoras, Pennsylvania, her brother John MacAlarney of  Lancaster, Pennsylvania, several nieces and nephews and her beloved pet dog, "Tessa". RHONDA LYN GLASS, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Rhonda Lyn Glass, age 44 of Port Jervis, NY, passed away January 15, 2014.  She was born on August 16, 1969 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Robert and Lynnette Rhoades Mason.  Rhonda is survived by her parents of Port Jervis, her husband Donald, her brother, Russell Mason, his wife Beth and their son Logan, her sister, Lyn Mason and her companion Eric, and their daughter Cora, her sister, Helen Mason, her sister, Senie Mason and her daughter Skye-lynne.  She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Rhonda was pre-deceased by her brother, Ryan Russell Rhoades, her  maternal  grandparents, Pamelia and Russell Rhoades, her paternal grandparents, Fred and Helen Mason. Rhonda graduated from Port Jervis High School.  She was an avid  football fan and had great love and compassion of animals.  Services and interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Port Jervis-Deerpark Humane Society, Route 209, Port Jervis, NY 12771. ARNOLD JOHNSON, BARRYVILLE, NEW YORK

Arnold  Johnson, age 84 of Barryville, NY, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Ctr., Liberty, NY.  He was born on  January 17, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Arnold  Johnson, Sr. and  Marguerita Kirschner Johnson.  Arnold served with the U.S. Merchant Marines from  1951-1991.  He also owned and operated  Johnson's Grocery Store in Queens,   NY.  He married Lisa Willers Johnson who pre-deceased him.  He is survived by his closest friends and care givers, Michelle Cleary and her husband Michael, of Yulan, NY.  Arnold considered  Michelle and  Michael  his daughter  and son-in-law. ELLEN "LOUISE" WRISLEY, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Ellen "Louise" Wrisley , age 91 of Port Jervis, NY passed away, Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Elant Health Care Facility, Goshen, NY.  She was born on August 14, 1922 in Port Jervis, NY.  Ellen retired as a bookeeper for  Gillinder Brothers Glass Co., in Port Jervis.  She married Earl D. Wrisley, who pre-deceased her.  Ellen is survived by her two sons, Douglas Wrisley and his wife Pat of Erieville, NY and David Wrisley of Port Jervis, four grandchildren, Michele, Steven, Kevin and Ann Marie and five great grandchildren.  She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Susan Lynne Craft.  Services will be held in the Spring and will be announced at a later date.  Interment will take place at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Port Jervis.  Arrangements are by the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Inc., 154 E. JAMES C. REED, SPARROWBUSH, NEW YORK

James C. Reed, age 73 of Sparrowbush, NY, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at his home.  He was born on  June 21, 1940 in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Elvin and Madeline Reed.  Jime retired as a Lineman for the I.B.E.W Union, Local 1249, Syracuse, NY.  He was an honorary member of Roosa-Fleming V.F.W. Post #161, Port Jervis and  an avid golfer.  Jim married DeAnn Adlon Reed, who survives at home.  He is also survived by his  seven sons, Allen Reed of Schnectady, NY, Darren Reed and his wife Dolores of Jackson Twshp., New Jersey, Randy Reed of Elmira, NY, Michael Reed of Albany, NY, Robert Reed of Sparrowbush, Thomas Reed  and Dustin Reed both of Allentown, PA, three daughters, Tammy Reed, Brenda Reed-Pike and her husband Kenneth of Tucson, Arizona, and Rebecca Reed of Allentown, PA, two sisters, Kathy and Irene, his brother Elvin Reed of Albany, NY, 29 grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.  He was pre-deceased by his son, James C. Reed, Jr. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Roosa-Fleming V.F.W. WILLIAM G. MARION, SR., PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

William G. Marion, Sr., age 96 of Port Jervis, NY passed away, Saturday, February 15, 2014 at St. Joseph's Place, Port Jervis, NY.  William was born on December 17, 1917 in Port Jervis, NY, the son of the late William and Ethel Rudolph Marion.  He retired from Skydyne, Inc., in Port Jervis. Bill  attended the First Baptist  Church in Port Jervis and was a member of Hose 6, Port Jervis Fire Dept.. He married Lois Wormuth Marion, who pre-deceased him.   William is survived by his three sons, Richard Marion  of Port Jervis,  William Marion and his wife Ann of Port Jervis, and David Marion of Anchorage, Alaska, two step-daughters, Margaret Turner of Georgetown, Texas and Diane Murray of Phoenix, Arizona, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. HAZEL A. STEVENSON, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Hazel A. Stevenson, age 88 of Port Jervis, NY, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at St. Joseph's Place, Port Jervis.  She was born on February 10, 1926 in Port Jervis, the daughter of the late  Oliver and Edna Hill Hallock. Hazel retired from Kolmar Labs, Inc., as an assembler.   She was a member of the Eldred Congregational in Eldred.  Hazel married Wayne E. Stevenson, Sr., on November 13, 1951, who pre-deceased her.  Hazel is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Trotta  and her husband Joseph of Port Jervis, and Patricia Crisafi  and her husband Sal of  Little Meadows, PA, her two sons, Wayne Stevenson, Jr., of Port Jervis and Michael Stevenson and his wife Rhonda of Port Jervis, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.   She was pre-deceased by her sister, Elsie Hallock, her two brothers, Eugene and Robert Hallock and her grandson, Joseph Trotta.  Services and interment will be private.  Hazel's family would like to thank the staff and nurses at St. Joseph's Place for their professional and compassionate care, it was greatly appreciated by the Stevenson family.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Place, 160 E. DOROTHY R. GREENHALGH, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Dorothy R. Kennedy Greenhalgh, age 98 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Bon Secour Community Hospital, Port Jervis.  Dorothy was born on December 24, 1915 in Port Jervis, the daughter of the late William H. and Mabel Quick Kennedy.  She was a graduate of Port Jervis High School and continued her education at the Middletown Business School. Dorothy proudly served our country during WW II  as a stenographer with the Women's Army Corps (WAC) in the South West Pacific Area, Australia, New Guinea and the Philipines. After the war she returned home and worked as a Sr. Stenographer for the State of New York at the Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Center.  Dorothy was an active member of the Frist Presbyterian Church in Port Jervis, a member of the Lunch Buch of the church, a Charter Member  of Women in Military Service (WIMSA), a life member of the Roosa-Fleming V.F.W.  Post #161, Port Jervis, and a member of the CSEA.  She married the late James W. Greenhalgh, Jr., who pre-deceased her.  Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Sharon Bray of Port Jervis,  one niece, one nephew, and several cousins.  She was pre-deceased by her son Richard Greenhalgh, two sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 18, at 11 AM at the Frist Presbyterian Church, Port Jervis, NY.  Rev. SOPHIE M. ULBRICH, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Sophie M. Ulbrich, age 86  of Port Jervis, NY, surrounded by her family, went to be with the Lord, Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Milford Senior Care Facility, Milford, PA.  She was born in Port Jervis, NY on  May 6, 1927, the daughter of the late Onysko and Mary Powlow Michulski. Sophie was a retired seamstress for the Hinden Coat factory in Port Jervis.  She was a faithful member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Port Jervis, and a member of the National AARP and the Port Jervis Senior Citizens. Sophie married  Harold N. Ulbrich, who pre-deceased her, February 27, 1988.   She is survived by her three daughters,  Barbara Daniel and her husband Joseph of Maricopa, AZ., Joyce Williams and her husband Richard of Port Jervis,  and Ellen Moglia of Milford, PA.  She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Carol Loch and her husband Jeffrey, Rhonda Taxter and her husband Al, Sherri Patterson and her husband Junior, Mark Williams and his wife Jessica, and Anthony Moglia, her nine great grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Jonah, Cassie, Juliana, Max, Matthew, Collin and Meghan and several nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by her son, Harold N. Ulbrich, Jr.  Friends may call Monday, February 10, from 2-6 PM at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.  Prayers will be offered  Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 9:15 at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Port Jervis.  Rev. LOUISE D. LUKAS, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Louise D. Lukas, age 89 of Port Jervis, NY passed away, Saturday, February 1, 2014 at her home. She was born on October 2, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Rose Samstag Ferris.
Louise retired as a waitress, after many years, from the Drug and Chemical Club, a private club in Manhattan, NY. She was a  faithful member of Most Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Port Jervis. Louise married Edward F. Lukas, who predeceased her on August  17, 2012.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Mills and her husband, James of Port Jervis; her five grandchildren: Margaret McLaughlin Strucic, Carol McLaughlin Nivens, Bill McLaughlin and his wife, Laura, Christopher McLaughlin,  Jason Mills and his wife, Andrea; nine great grandchildren: Matthew, Kristopher and Donna Strucic, Ryan, Nicholas, Alyssa, Jenna McLaughlin, Lauren Nivens, and John Nivens, Jr., three great great grandchildren: Christian, Breanna and Evan Strucic; her nephews: Tom, Bob and Frank Todino and their families, who were very special to her.  Louise was the last of seven children.  She was predeceased by her brother, Gil; her sisters: Ruthy, Sally, Helen, Rose and Agnes.
A family statement read, "Nana loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was the ultimate John Wayne fan, Nana had a vast collection of movies and memorabilia. She saw every movie he ever made--more than once.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4th at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Funeral Services will be held at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. George Hafemann officiating.  Interment will take place at the Orange County Veteran's Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to Orange and Sullivan Hospice, 800 Stonybrook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.

JOAN ROACH, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Joan Roach, 82, of Port Jervis, NY, passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at  her home.  She was born on  November 16, 1931 in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of the late Cornelius and Lucy Collins Prussia.
Joan was a faithful member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Port Jervis. She married Howard "Jim" Roach, who predeceased her.
Joan is survived by her son, James Roach and his wife,  Sonya of Port Jervis, NY; two daughters, Robyn Radzikowski of Huguenot, NY, and Rita Neubert and her fiance, John Lorino of Huguenot; her three grandchildren: Diana Neubert, Aedan and Aivee Roach and several nieces and nephews, including her special nieces: Karen Flynn and her husband, Jack and Jean Schoonover, who were like sisters to Joan.  She was predeceased by her sisters: Pauline, Stella, Elizabeth, Catherine and Beverly and two brothers: Frank and Charles Prussia.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, February 3rd at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, I54 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Prayers will be offered at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4th at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Port Jervis; Rev. George Hafemann will be the celebrant. Interment will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY.
