John P. Martucci age 68 of Glen Spey, New York passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. John was born on March 15, 1952 in Queens, New York, the son of Antonio and Mary Caporusso Martucci. He married Michele Wilson Martucci, who survives at home. John is also survived by his two daughters, Celeste Goodell of Highland Lake, NY, and Lia Dilles and her husband Rik of Glen Spey, his two sons, Peter Martucci and his wife Faith of Cragsmoor, NY, and AJ Martucci of Pine Bush, NY, his beloved seven grandchildren; Alixandra, John, Brae, Adin, Dominick, Adalyn and Sophia, and two nieces and several cousins. Along with his parents, John was pre-deceased by his brother Tony Martucci. Carol J. Bohnert age 64 of Branford, Connecticut and formerly of Milford, Pennsylvania passed away September 23, 2020 at St. Raphael Hospital, New Haven, Connecticut. Carol was born on April 27, 1956 in Port Jervis, NY. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Anna Miko Bohnert. She worked as a Senior Systems Analyst, IT at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Carol is survived by her two brothers, James Bohnert and his companion Ann Davis of Milford, Pennsylvania, and Joseph Bohnert and his wife Patricia of Landenberg, Pennsylvania, his three sisters, Helen Benson and her husband Jay of Mill Rift, Pennsylvania, Margaret Steedman and her husband Thomas of Milford, Pennsylvania and Lois Langwig and her husband Robert of Middletown, Delaware, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Sue Ann Enright age 57 of Sparrowbush, NY passed away September 14, 2020 at the Orange Regional Medical Ctr., Middletown, NY. She was born on March 14, 1963 in Fountain Hill, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of William J. “Tex” Enright and Sally A. Clune Enright. Sue Ann worked as an assembler for Kolmar Labs, Inc. in Port Jervis, and Sparkomatic Corp. in Milford, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her long time companion Doreen “Dippy” Conklin at home, her four brothers; William Enright of Glen Spey, Robert Enright of Mechanicsville, NY, Jerry Enright of Glen Spey, Thomas “Tucker” Enright and his long time companion Jackie Smith of Glen Spey, her sister, Elizabeth Enright of Port Jervis, her special Aunt Maryann Clune of Sparrowbush, NY who was always there for Sue, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bob is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marilynn Lehn Carroll, and his two daughters, Linda Carroll and her partner Jacky DeForge of Burlington, Vermont, and Nancy DiGiantommaso and her husband Tony of Port Jervis. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Monica DiGiantommaso and her fiancé Ryan Fagen and Sophia DiGiantommaso. Also surviving him are several nieces and nephews including Sharon Sparling and her husband David, sisters and brother-in-laws and a host of friends made over his long lifetime. Bob was pre-deceased by his best friend and brother Bernie Carroll and his nephew Mark Carroll. The Carroll family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Shah, the VA, and various nurses and caregivers for their professional care shown to Bob. A special thank you to Brenda Jennings, who offered Bob daily support and compassionate care during his final years.

Edward A. Eckes age 94 of Sparrowbush, NY passed away September 8, 2020 at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, NY. He was born on September 4, 1926 in Sparrowbush, NY the son of Frederick and Florence Conley Eckes. Ed proudly served our country during the Korean War with the US Army. He retired as a welder from Columbia Gas Co. in Sparrowbush after many years of dedicated service. He was a faithful member of St. Mary’s R. Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #471, a life member of the Sparrowbush Fire Dept. He was a former member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Elks, #645 B.P.O.E., a former member of the Cahoonzie Hunting Club and a former member of the Port Jervis Lions. Ed was very active and instrumental in helping with the Food Pantry and Benefit Breakfasts at St. Mary’s Church. He worked very hard in restoring St. Mary’s Church and the Rectory. He could often be seen painting the interior, repairing walls or helping with anything that he would volunteer for. Ed married Helen Winklhofer Eckes on October 5, 1957, celebrating nearly 63 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife Helen at home, his daughter Debra Eckes-Krentz and her husband Robert of Port Jervis, his son, George Eckes and his wife Darlene of Cornelius, North Carolina, his beloved grandchildren; Brent and his fiancé Gillian, Michael, Quinten, Erica, Christian, Kaitlin, Kori and her fiancé Paul, Bobby and his fiancé Kayla, his two great grandsons, Richard and James, his brothers, Donald Eckes of Sparrowbush, Wilbur Eckes and his wife Carol of Sparrowbush, two nieces and two nephews. Ed was pre-deceased by his brothers, Frederick, David and Herbert Eckes, and his nephew Wilbur Eckes. David retired as an installer for Brady Overhead Door Co. in Patchogue, NY. “Big Dave” also worked as a bouncer and photo historian for the Boardy Barn in Hampton Bays, NY. David married Linda Walther Cooper, who survives him at home. George A. Turner age 75 of Glen Spey, NY and formerly Scotchtown, NY passed away, September 4, 2020 at Orange Regional Medical Ctr., Middletown, NY, with his family by his side. He was born on October 14, 1944 in Poughkeepsie, NY the son of Gustav and Dorothy Aumick Turner. George retired as machine operator for the Town of Lumberland Highway Dept. in Glen Spey. At one time George and his wife Karen owned and operated the Glen Spey Country Inn. Due to his strong work ethic, most recently he worked for Boyce Excavating in Slate Hill, NY until his health declined. George was a member of the Scotchtown Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Middletown Lodge of Elks, # 1097, B.P.O.E. He married Karen Lewis Turner who survives at home. George is also survived by his daughter Lorie Starr-Cosh and her husband Lester of Sparrowbush, his brother Gus Turner and his wife Tonja of Middletown, his beloved grandchildren; Amanda, Justin, Falyn, Louis and Hunter, his four great grandchildren, his nephews, Gus Turner, Jr., Joe Myers, Jr. and his niece JoAnn Turi-Wilcox, his brother-in-law Joseph Myers, Sr. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Ann Shirley Myers. Gerald “Jerry” R. Rifflard age 79 of Middletown, New York passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Garnett Health, Middletown, NY. He was born on November 18, 1940 in Nyack, New York the son of Alfred and Jane McDonald Rifflard. He worked as self-employed painting contractor. Jerry was a gifted and talented craftsman. He was known for his intricate, hand done carving and painting of various ships, sailboats and vessels. Everything he made was to perfection, right down to the sails and lines to which they were anchored. No detail was overlooked. Once he finished his replica, Jerry handpainted them to accuracy. He is survived by his four sons; Kevin Rifflard and his wife Marie of Middletown, NY, Keith Rifflard and his wife Carol of Rockland County, NY, Kurt Rifflard of Middletown, Michael Rifflard and his companion Mariaelena of Port Jervis. He is also survived by his six brothers; Patrick, Robert, Alfred, Timothy, John and Irene Rifflard, his beloved grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
