Mary graduated in 1963 from Eldred Central School and attended State University of New York in Oswego. She moved to Ridge, Long Island, and from there to Orlando, Florida where unknowingly she arrived the same day as her future husband, James B. Huntington. Mary retired as an underwriter from Philadelphia Insurance Co. in Orlando in 2010. She was a highly active and faithful member with her churches, including St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Windermere, FL, the Eldred United Methodist Church, and until her death the Eldred Congregational Church. She was a former member of the Town of Highland Lions Club.
Mary loved cats, beading, card games, jewelry, her relatives, Chico’s, her fellow parishioners, following politics, and most of all her husband, to whom she was a wonderful wife and the love of his life. He will forever miss her interest in him, her cooking (including the best homemade pizza in the world, to which he looked forward every Friday), her cheerfulness, her companionship, her support during his crises, her attending his activities, her excellence as a travel companion, their overall compatibility, and vastly more. For him, she made the years they had together the good old days.
Mary is survived by her husband of Eldred, her two furry children Cleo and Andy, her sisters Amy Benedict and her husband Jeril of Houston, Texas and Bonnie Cohen of Staten Island, NY, her brother Kevin Maudsley and his wife Karen of Lexington, Kentucky, her aunt Doris Day of Honesdale, Pennsylvania, three nieces, two nephews, and numerous cousins.
Memorial services will be held 11 AM, Friday, April 9th, at the Eldred Congregational Church. Rev. Susan Storms will officiate. Interment will immediately follow at Montoza Cemetery in Eldred. Stephen L. Shinol, age 57 of Eldred, NY passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY. He was born on May 27, 1963 in Passaic, New Jersey the son of Stephen and Joan Schutz Shinol. Stephen was a lifelong plumber and electrician and enjoyed his down time playing golf or pool. He married Cynthia King Shinol, who survives at home. Stephen is also survived by his mother-in-law, “Mom” Nellie King-Hjerrild, his son, Stephen Shinol of Sparrowbush, NY, his daughter Sharon Cron and her husband Michael of Port Jervis, his step-daughter Jamie Vogt and her husband John Thomas of Yulan, his step-son George “Bubba” Fountain and his wife Kimberly of Sparrowbush, his two step-brothers; Kevin and “Nipper”, his step-sister Sharon, his beloved four grandchildren; Colton, Heath, Jameson and Jhett, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Andrew Joseph Thielemann age 19, of the Town of Greenville, NY passed away February 10, 2021 in Oceanside, California. He was born on September 7th, 2001 in Bellflower, California, the son of Joseph C. Thielemann and Jessica A. Pepin. Andrew graduated from Minisink Valley High School in 2019 in Slate Hill, NY. He enjoyed video games, rock music, and spending time with his friends. Andrew was deeply intelligent and sensitive, had a tremendous love for his family and always put them first. He spent the last months of his life working alongside his father to build a beautiful ranch in Oceanside. Andrew is survived by his parents, his sisters; Kali Pepin, and Alyssa Thielemann, his brothers; Tyler Pepin, Nicholas Webber, and Zachary Webber, his maternal grandmother, Diane Hice, his paternal grandfather, Charles Thielemann, several cousins, aunts and uncles. Michael P. Stevenson age 51, of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania passed away, March 12th, 2021. He was born on July 11, 1969 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the son of Steven Stevenson and Kathleen Cole Hankins. Michael worked as a transportation manager for the Messer (Linde) Group in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed the great outdoors. Mike was a hard worker and a generous man. He never let you pick up the tab and always had a great story to tell. He made new friends wherever he went and always took the time to connect with new people he met. He was very active with the Conashaugh Lakes Association in Dingmans Ferry and served as a past president on the board. Matamoras, PA
After a courageous battle with cancer, Linda Grace (Culver) Brink, of Matamoras, PA, passed peacefully away on Friday, March 5, 2021 surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on June 11, 1953, the daughter of the late William “Buck” Culver and Doris Theodore Culver Cole.
Linda was a 1971 graduate of the Delaware Valley High School. She attended the Hope Evangelical Church in Matamoras, and was a past member of the Elks Women’s Bowling League. She enjoyed the seashore, oldies music, barbecues and get-togethers, and her “puddies” - who brought joy to her life.
Under the guidance of her Aunt “Onie”, Linda learned the trade of bookkeeping at the family business, Culver Motors; and went on to be the successful proprietor of the Erie Hotel & Restaurant, Trackside Manor & Tiki Bar in Port Jervis, NY. She was well respected and loved by her Erie staff, who were like a second family to her.
Linda is survived by three devoted sons: Daryll McKeeby and companion, Casey of Matamoras; Jeremy (JD) Brink and wife, Hannah of Port Jervis; and Jon Brink and companion, Aly of Matamoras; and grandchildren: Cameron McKeeby, Michael McKeeby and Jacob Brink. She is also survived by her brother, William Culver, wife Jackie and niece Sydney; step-brothers, Richard “Punky” Cole and Mark Cole; uncle, Edwin Culver; aunt, Carole Trafford; cousins who were like sisters, Doris Ann Wood and Susie Howard; many other cousins near and far; former husbands, Dick McKeeby and Stanley Brink; and countless friends and acquaintances.
Linda’s life was devoted to those she loved. She was exceptionally caring and willing to help anyone in need. Her home was like home to many friends, family and stray cats. She will be deeply missed, and her unconditional love, courage and strength will remain in our hearts forever.
The family would like to thank the staff of Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice; staff of Bon Secours Hospital; Dr. Manuel Perry of Crystal Run; nurse, Lori Gentry and neighbor, Marilyn Sigreto for all their help with Linda's care. Special thanks to her cousin and primary caregiver, Doris Ann Wood, and her loyal friend, Loretta Card for their kindness and devotion to Linda during these difficult times.
There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Donna Goulden VanDyke age 72 of Hurleyville, NY passed way Saturday, February 27, 2021 at her home. She fought a brave and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born on January 5, 1949 in Ballston Spa, NY, the daughter Harold and Anna Furchalk Goulden. Donna owned and operated The Irish Nanny Co. in Katonah, New York for many years. Donna married Alan VanDyke, who survives at home.
