George A. Riddle age 89 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania died
Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Milford Senior Care, Milford,
Pennsylvania. He was born on August 18, 1925 in Manhattan, NY,
the son of David D. and Christina Doyle Riddle. George worked as
a Pipe Shop Foreman for Hoffman LaRoche Pharmaceutical
Company in Belvidere, NJ. and was also a retired New York CityMaster Plumber. He proudly served our country
during WW II with the US Navy. He married Alice Jean Murphy
Riddle who pre-deceased him. He is survived by his sons,
George A. Riddle, II and his wife Debra of Matamoras, PA, and
Richard R. Riddle and his wife Daryl of Destin, Florida, his
daughter Christina Jones and her husband Donald of Effort, PA.,
seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces
and nephews and his beloved close friend Rene Pedlock and her
family of Matamoras, PA. George was pre-deceased by his son
Robert R Riddle. Services will be private at the convenience of

James R. Chandler, Jr. age 76 of Sparrowbush, NY passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at his home. He was born on December 29, 1938 in Sparrowbush, NY the son of James R. Chandler, Sr. and Helen Cherry Chandler. Jim retired as a Senior Investigator with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, New York State Police, Troop F, Middletown, NY. He served as Supervisor for the Town of Deerpark from 1999-2003. He was a member of the P.B.A., New York State Police and a member of the Antique Auto Club of America. Jim married Mary J. Banach Chandler who survives at home. He is also survived by his three sons, Jeff Chandler and his wife Lisa of Tampa, Florida, James Chandler, III of Tampa, Florida, Paul Banta and his wife Kelly of Sparrowbush, two daughters, Vicki Blair and her husband Allen of North Carolina, Barbara Sauschuck and her husband Randy of Sparrowbush, his sister Joy Ryerson and her husband David of Glen Spey, Cherry Behrens and her husband Roy of Melbourne, Florida, nine grandchildren, Taylor, Erin, Jarod, Cameron,Tyler, Michelle, Melissa, Jeffrey, and Jason, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. George Thomas Lombardi, age 74, of Huguenot, NY and formerly of Briarcliff Manor, Westchester County, NY passed away Friday May 8, 2015 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 12, 1941 in Rye, NY, the son of the late John and Mary Lombardi. George graduated from Sleepy Hollow High School. He married Carol A. Langle on April 20, 1963. George owned Hudson Valley Landscaping Corporation. George is survived by his daughter, Dawn Orza and her husband Louie of Briarcliff Manor, NY; his sons, David Lombardi and his wife Linda of Katonah, NY, and Danny Lombardi and his wife Joanne, of Bear, DE; his daughter, Diane VanderBrink and her husband Brian of Cincinnati, OH; nine grandchildren, Catherine, Lucien, Grace, Emma, Nicholas, Oskar, Abby, Joy and Paige; and his sister, Suzanne DeSanctis and her husband Guy of Valhalla, NY. George was predeceased by his brother, John D. Lombardi. George and his wife Carol, retired to their farm in Huguenot in the year 2000 to enjoy their horses and relax on the Neversink River. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in April of 2013. She was born on October 6, 1951 in Mineola, NY, the daughter of Anthony and Jean Vilga Majkowski. Mary worked as a senior sales representative for RDD Associates in Totowa, New Jersey. She was a member of the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation in Long Island. Mary married Chisty E. Becker who survives at home. She is also survived by her son Christy E. Becker, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas and her very close friend Beverly Ruggiero. Services will be private. Kenneth F. Beecher, Jr., age 70 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover, New Jersey. He was born on November 4, 1944 in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Kenneth F. and Etha Perry Beecher. Kenneth was a self-employed construction worker. Ken was a veteran of the US Army during the Viet Nam War. He is survived by his four sons, Kenneth F. Beecher, III and his companion Candace Flood, Lance Beecher and his companion Catherine VanOrden, Christopher Beecher, and Shawn Beecher all of Port Jervis, his three daughters, Melissa Beecher, Kim Marsh and her husband Ray all of Port Jervis, Lisa Cortazar and her husband Jorge of Middletown, NY, 14 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and his former wife Joyce Kopp of Port Jervis. John B. Mason age 91 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at his home. He was born on March 24, 1924 in Sparrowbush, NY the son of John B. and Freda Schock Mason. John proudly served our country during WW II with the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946. In 2012 he was a participant in the WWII US Honor Flight to Washington DC . He was a retired carpenter and worked with Union Local #253, Hackensack, NJ. John was a member and Past Master of the Milford Lodge of Masons #752,F & AM a member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Masons #328 F& AM, a member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Elks #645, B.P.O.E., a member of the Roosa-Fleming VF W Post #161, Port Jervis and the Marsch-Kellogg VFW Post, Milford, PA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the Matamoras Rod & Gun Club, a member of the Lost Camp Hunting Club, Westfall, PA. John married Madeline Ann Soletro who survives at home. He is also survived by his four sons, John B. Mason, Jr. and his wife Tria of Milford, PA., Scott Mason and his wife Robin of Andover, NJ, Gary Mason of St. Petersburg,Florida, Jay Mason and his wife Jenine of Wantage, NJ, two sisters Freda Moore and her husband Harold of Rio, NY, Andre Zelno and her husband Ralph of Cahoonzie, NY, his grandchildren Adam Mason and his wife Brynn, Sean Mason and his wife Jess, Jeffrey,Jacqueline, Jennifer, Ryan, Anthony, William and Rebecca, two great grandchildren Zoey and Makayla, several nieces and nephews. Jason Traverse, age 42 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Bon Secours Community Hospital. He was born on January 19, 1973 in Middletown, NY. He is the son of Sue Traverse and Mark Traverse. Jason was a independent tattoo artist for Sub Q Tattoo in Middletown, NY. His greatest accomplishment was “Traverse Street Tattoo’s”.Jason was a lover of life, who not only saw the beauty in this world; but had the ability to create it. As an artist, musician, and then accomplished tattoo artist, his creations will live on with all of those he touched. Jason had such unconditional love for his family and friends, but his moments of greatest joy came during the visits with his son Ian. His adventures and travels gave him the ability to see things in such a way that others could not. We know that the greatest qualities Jason had will live on forever in all of our lives. His strength and determination has carried him through all of life's ups and downs, and we want you all to know how he kept up his fighting spirit right through to the end. Robert C. “Bob” Tripp, Sr., age 77 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 at his home. He was born on February 13, 1938 in Port Jervis, the son of the late Arthur E. and Gertrude Corey Tripp. Bob was a retired truck driver for Union Local # 710 of Mokena, Illinois and Local #560 of Union City, NJ. Bob was a member of the Pond Eddy United Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of the Tri- State Rod & Gun Club, a member of the Minisink Trail Hunting Club, and the Mountain Stream Rod & Gun Club in Eldred, NY. He was a former member of the Maghogomock Hook & Ladder Co. #1, Port Jervis Fire Dept. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, spending his time with them was the joy of his life. He married Sylvia Wood Tripp, this August they would have celebrated sixty years of marriage. He is survived by his beloved wife Sylvia at home, his two sons, Robert C. Tripp, Jr. and his wife Edith of Port Jervis, Scott Tripp and his wife Jill of Uniontown, Ohio, his two daughters, Karen Balmos and her husband Harold of Port Jervis, Deborah Gamble and her husband Pat of Orange Park, Florida, he was known as “Pop” and “Poppy” to his five grandchildren, Moose Balmos and his wife Carrie, Staci Zingarelli and her husband James, Robert Tripp, III and his finance Brittany, Hayden and Jenna Tripp; three great grandchildren, Jacob and Amber Balmos, Sawyer Zingarelli, one niece and two nephews. Nettie Lee "Tooter" Ulrich, Port Jervis, born on July 3, 1926, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 after a long illness. She was 88.
Nettie, born in Vickery, Texas to parents Lee A. and Nettie Ewer Lowery into a family with six brothers and sisters spent her childhood near Paris, Texas. She met the love of her life, Richard Ulrich in Texas during World War II in 1945 and later moved to the Sparrowbush, NY area, where they began their life together. Nettie, also known to many as "Tooter" spent her working days in the offices of and retired from Andmore Sportswear, in Port Jervis.
Nettie had a special love for her "furry children", her many cats she had throughout the years. To all who knew her, knew they were all very special to her and treated them just like family. Days at Mohican Lake, spending time with her grandkids swimming, fishing and water skiing were also treasured memories to her. She was a lifetime member of the Tri-States Naval Ship Ladies Auxilliary and a member of Pond Eddy United Methodist Church and sang in the choir.
She was loved by all, and will be greatly missed by her family and many, friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her six brothers and sisters. Also preceded in death by her husband, Richard in 1992 and her eldest daughter, Jean Marie in 1999 and her mother and father-in-law, Marie and Frank Ulrich. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Vereschagin and husband, Victor of Budd Lake, NJ and Susan Goddard and husband, Frank of Huguenot, NY. Also survived by her seven grandchildren, Jim and Tony Lechner of Cocoa, Florida, Vicky Kaufman and husband, AJ of Bloomingdale, NJ, Alice Driber and husband, Ed of East Stroudsburg, Pa, Eric Vereschagin and wife, Erika of Budd Lake, NJ, Alicia Furst and husband, Chris of Live Oak, FL, Frank Goddard, Jr. and wife Casey of Sparrowbush, NY. Nettie also had 14 great-grandchildren, Brittany, Nick, Ryan, Lynda Jean, Jennifer, Kaitlyn, Nicole, Thomas, Tessa, Jarred, Allysen, Chrystal, Dylan, Devon and 6 great-great grandchildren, Hunter, Jenny, Sierra, Kerrance, Jaydance and Sabrina. Visitation will be held at Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. on Monday, May 4th from 4pm - 8pm.
