Michael J. Helt, Sr., age 64 of Hawley, PA, formerly of Port Jervis and Sparrowbush, NY, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 the Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA. He was born on November 25, 1950 in Port Jervis, NY, the son of Charles A. and Marion Elaine Skinner Helt.
Laurence D. Murray, age 91 of Port Jervis passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 24, 1924 in Port Jervis, NY, the son of Francis and Susan Murray. Larry retired from Skydyne Aeronautics Inc. in Port Jervis as a draftsman.
He was a faithful member of the Grace Episcopal Church, Port Jervis and a former vestry member of the church. He was a member of the Port Jervis Fire Dept., Neversink Engine Co. #1 for 61 years. He served as the Grand Marshall of the Annual Firemen's Parade in 2008.
Larry's family would like to thank his care givers: Tracy, Pam, Nickie, JoAnn, Jenn, and Jeanette. He loved his "angels" who took such loving and compassionate care of him during his illness.
A family statement reads: "Dad made a lasting impression on everyone he met with his charm and sense of humor, only surpassed by his devoted love for his family."
Larry married Alice C. Goodspeed Murray, who survives at home. He is also survived by his two daughters: Agnes L. Clark, and Kathy Pope and her husband, Dennis, all of Port Jervis; his son, Laurence J. Murray and his wife, Diane of Phoenix, AZ; his brother, Robert J. Murray of Port Jervis; his beloved grandchildren: Caryn Stuart and her husband, Brian, Sheila Clark, Scott Ryerson, and Laura Clark; his great grandchildren: Stephen, Tiffany, Alexa, Devon and Paige; his great great grandchildren: Stevie, Aiden, Benny, Louis and several nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his two sisters: Marilyn Borkenhagen and Frances Hosking.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 28th at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Firematic services will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29th at The Grace Episcopal Church, 84 Seward Ave., Port Jervis; Rev. David Lee Carlson will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Jervis.

Ann P. Jennings age 78 of Cuddebackville, NY formerly of Rockland County died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Middletown, NY. She was born on March 25,1937 in Hackensack, New Jersey the daughter of George and Mary Bigger Terhune. Ann proudly served our country during the Korean War with the US Army. She retired as a school bus driver for the Washingtonville School District. She was a faithful member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Hillburn, NY. Ann married Louis E. Jennings who survives at home. She is also survived by her daughter Marcie Jennings at home, her three sons, Michael Penfold and his wife Lena of Fort Lee, New Jersey,Scott Jennings of Cornwall,NY Wayne E. Arthur Dean Abbadusky “Art”, 77, passed into the loving arms of his Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 2, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was born February 14th, Valentine’s Day, 1938 in Monmouth,Illinois. As a young man he proudly served his country in the US Navy aboard the U.S.S. ALCOR. After his military service he was employed by Butler Manufacturing Company in Kansas City Missouri where he became East Coast Regional Manager and retired after 25 years of loyal service. He was an avid golfer, bowler and sports fan. He was passionate about helping and serving others. Most importantly he loved and cared for his family and will be greatly missed. Art was preceded in death by his parents Forrest and Elsie Abbadusky, brothers Edward and Melvin Abbadusky. In addition to his beloved wife Marguerite of 36 years, he is survived by brother John “Willie” and his wife Beth Abbadusky, his son Arthur Dean Jr. “Skip” and wife Lisa, daughter Karen Savacool and husband Eric, son Daniel Abbadusky and wife Diane, daughter Kathryn Gallagher and husband Kevin, son Jared Abbadusky and wife Stephanie, stepdaughters Karin Pitzel, Donna Reed and husband William. He has 23 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. His family will be forever grateful for the tender loving care he received over the past 8 years from the staff at the Valley View Center for Nursing Care in Goshen, NY.
