Andrew Jon Woolsey age 27 of Huguenot, NY passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at home. He was born on April 19, 1993 in Goshen, NY the son of Anthony and Denise LeBarron Woolsey. Andrew worked for the New York State Department of Conservation, Summer Recreation in Crown Point, NY. He was a graduate of Port Jervis High School. During his student years he was an ambassador for People To People, traveling to Australia. Andrew attended C-Tech for the Culinary Arts and certification during high school. He was a member of the Cuddebackville Fire Dept. and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed the great outdoors. Andrew is survived by his parents, Anthony and Denise Woolsey at home, his brother, Anthony Joseph Woolsey, his maternal grandmother Gloria LeBarron, his aunt Gina McCann and her husband Thomas of Port Jervis, his aunt Tracy LeBarron and her husband David Smith, his uncle David LeBarron and several cousins. He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandparents, Albert and Jonnie Woolsey and his maternal grandfather, Arthur LeBarron. Michael T. Connelly, age 75, of Port Jervis, NY passed away December 21, 2020 at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, NY. He was born November 15, 1945 in Port Jervis, NY, the son of the late Thomas J and Helen Marino Connelly.
After graduating from Port Jervis High School Michael continued his education at St. Bonaventure University and earned his BA. He went on to work on his Master’s Degree at Iona College before proudly serving our country with the US Army from 1968-1970. Michael married Mary Jackovich May 25, 1974 at Most Sacred Heart Church. He retired after 40 years of service as the Data Manager for Real Property Tax Service with the Orange County Government in Goshen, NY. He also enjoyed his part time bartending jobs throughout the years at several local restaurants where he made many long-lasting friendships. He was a member of Most Sacred Heart Church and St. Mary’s Church in Port Jervis. He was a lifetime member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Elks #645 B.P.O.E.
A family statement read, “Michael was a loving husband, father, and Pa to his buddy Michael D. He was a kind-hearted person who enjoyed listening to, and most of all laughing along with the stories of friends and family. We would like to thank the staff at Bon Secours Community Hospital for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Michael and his family.”
Michael is survived by Mary, his loving wife of 46 years, and his 3 daughters: Jeanine McKeeby of Matamoras, PA, Lauren Connelly of the Town of Newburgh, NY, and Erin Connelly of Dunmore, PA. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas Connelly and his wife Carey of Huguenot, NY, his beloved grandson Michael McKeeby, his nieces Michelle Gallo and Kristin Connelly, and his cousins Karen Given and Joseph Connelly.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 AM, Thursday December 24 at St. Mary’s RC Church Port Jervis, NY. Rev. Matthew Newcomb will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Port Jervis, NY. Elizabeth M. Conklin age 78 of Huguenot, NY passed way Monday, December 21, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 18, 1942 in Passaic, New Jersey the daughter of Edward and Sophie Konefel McCullon. Elizabeth retired from Andmore Sportswear, Inc. in Port Jervis as a ticket maker. Elizabeth married Ralph Conklin, Sr., who pre-deceased her. She is survived by her two sons; Ralph Conklin, Jr. and his wife MaryJane of Huguenot, and James Conklin of Huguenot, her beloved six grandchildren; Christopher, Ralph Conklin, III, Adam, Paul, Anthony and Andrew, her 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Johanna Mallinson, age 74, of Port Jervis, NY, passed away December 12, 2020 at home with her family by her side. She was born on December 10, 1946 in Queens, NY. Johanna is the daughter of the late Julius P. And Elfriede Pompe Hellebrandt.
Johanna was raised in the Williamsburg section of New York and spent many enjoyable summers in Rio, NY. She attended All Saints Elementary School in New York. Upon moving to Port Jervis she attended the Port Jervis School District and was a graduate of the class of 1964. She volunteered her time to help organize many of her class reunions which were held every five years.
Johanna retired as a customer service representative for General Telephone Co., in Port Jervis after 20 years of dedicated service. Johanna is a faithful member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Port Jervis, a member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Elks, #645, B.P.O.E., a member of the Port Jervis Business and Professional Women (B.P.W.), which she was the recipient of “Woman of The Year Award in 1988, a member of Bon Secours Hospital Walking Group, and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Johanna married Kenneth L. Mallinson in 1970, celebrating 50 years of marriage.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth at home; her brother-in-law, George Mallinson and his wife Arline of Tunkhannock, PA; her nephew, Matthew Heater; her great niece, Kayman Heater; and a host of very close families and friends, reaching as far as Germany, Australia and Canada.She was pre-deceased by her sister, Ruth Heater and her husband Ronald Heater; and her brother, George Hellebrandt. Jo will be best remembered as a giver of herself in every way. When she put her hand out to someone, it would never be empty. There would be always something in it, her friendship, love, compassion, or just a listening sympathetic ear. One of her favorite past times was walking her Golden Retrievers.
Visitation will be held 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, December 15 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Prayers will be offered Tuesday afternoon. Rosemary Brislin age 72 of Montague, New Jersey passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 in Port Jervis, NY. She was born on April 13, 1948 in Newark, New Jersey the daughter of James and Margaret Vicidomini Fortunato. Rosemary worked as a food demonstrator at Shop-Rite in Montague, New Jersey. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Port Jervis, a member of the Montague Seniors, a member of the Montague Grange, the Montague Historical Society and the Sussex County Republican Committee. Rosemary married Paul M. Brislin, who survives at home. She is also survived by her brother Ralph Fortunato, her five cousins; Antoinette Spangenberg, Arnold, Anthony, Ralph and Fred Vicidomini, her two brothers-in-law, Tom Brislin of Montague, NJ and Jim Brislin and his wife Darlene of North Carolina, one niece and two nephews.
