      JOHN N.  DECKER,  GLEN SPEY, NEW YORK
		
          

John N. Decker age 72 of Glen Spey, NY  passed away March 31, 2020 in Port Jervis, NY. He fought a long and courageous battle with heart disease and succumbed with Covid-19.  He was born on March 24, 1948 in Port Jervis, NY the son of Roy and Hilda Morgan Decker.  John was raised by his loving grandparents John and Mary Decker.  He worked at C & D Battery Inc. in Huguenot until the company moved production out of the country.  He later worked for NAPA Auto Parts in Port Jervis until his retirement.  He was an avid Yankees Fan. John married his loving wife Donna L. Corwin  on April 5, 1975, who survives at home, he is also survived by his sons, John N. Decker and his companion Christy Flynn and her daughter Timmy Christine and and his son Timothy R. Decker at home, his  sister-in-law Doreen Space and her husband Russell of Huguenot, his brothers-in-laws, William R. Corwin and his wife Marcia of Milan, Tenn, and Rodney Corwin of Port Jervis, his nieces and nephews, Sara and Matthew Haynes, Gerald and Jacalyn Space, Peter and Heidi Minges, Andrew and Charlee Mingus, and his very close friends John and Michelle Martucci of Glen Spey. John was pre-deceased by his daughter Erin Decker and his son Adam W. Decker.    Due to the current health crisis, with love and respect to John’s family and friends services will be private at this time.  Cremation will take place at HG Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, PA.       ROBIN M. JOSD, MATAMORAS, PENNSYLVANIA
		
          Robin M. Josd age 64 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Bon Secours Hospital in Port Jervis.  She was born in Port Jervis on May 29, 1955 the daughter of  Louis and Joan Delaney Boucher.  Robin retired from K-Mart Department Store in Westfall Township, Pennsylvania.  She is survived by her daughter Amanda Josd and her long time companion Ricky Onofry of Matamoras, her son Jason Josd and his wife Jen of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, her beloved grandchildren; Dylan  and Josalyn Legato.  Services are private at the convenience of the family.  Cremation took place at HG Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, National Headquarters, 6520 N. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 33309-2132.       JOHN P. ROGERS, MATAMORAS, PENNSYLVANIA 
		
          John P. Rogers age 88 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania passed away March 24, 2020 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY.  He was born on November 14, 1931 in the Bronx, New York the son of  Philip and Mary Raftery Rogers.  John proudly served our country with the US Navy from 1951-1957.  He was a member of the American Legion.  John retired from the United States Dept. of Defense, US Army Procurement Department in New Jersey.  He is survived by his brothers, Philip Rogers of Matamoras, Pennsylvania and Joseph Rogers  and his wife Rosemarie of Cary, North Carolina,  his sister Mary Carlson of Nixa, Missouri, several nieces and nephews.  Due to the current health crisis with love and respect to John’s family private graveside services will be held Thursday, March 26, at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY.       ELIZABETH "BETH" SARAH CAMPBELL, nee LANE, MATAMORAS, PENNSYLVANIA
		
          
Elizabeth "Beth" Sarah Campbell, nee Lane, age 87 of Matamoras, PA died March 23, 2020 at home with family at her side.
Beth was born on December 29, 1932 in Shin Hollow, Town of Deerpark, NY the daughter of the late Frederick J and Sarah 
Stothers Lane. After graduation Beth worked for Selective Risk Insurance, Branchville, NJ until her marriage to George O
Campbell on May 16, 1953 in Port Jervis, NY.  Beth's true calling was her family and being a homemaker. Beth was a faith-
ful member of the Port Jervis Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for 59 years.  Beth is survived by her children; George S 
and his companion Glenna, James F and his wife Jo Ellen, Jesse D and his wife Solana, her daughter Karen and her husband
Mitchell Bucher, her daughters-in-law, Susan, Leann and Michelle, 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.  She is also
survived by her brother Donald W. and his wife Ellen Lane and her sister Barbara L and her husband Steven R Duke, her brother-
in-law Joseph and his wife Jean Campbell, one sister-in- law Sharon Lane, many nieces and nephews and five cousins.  In addition,
Beth is survived by many Bethel members who lovingly referred to her as Grandma Beth.  Beth was predeceased by her husband, her son Keith A, her daughter Sharon L Stone, son-in-law Darrel Stone, 2 great granddaughters,
 her 3 brothers, Ralph, Edward"Jake" and Harrison Lane.

      JOSEPH A. MALAK, MATAMORAS, PENNSYLVANIA 
		
          
Joseph A. Malak age 78 of Matamoras, PA passed away March 21, 2020 at the Milford Health Care Facility, Milford, PA.  He was born on October 21, 1941 in Passaic, NJ.  He was the son of the late Joseph F. and Gladys Flis Malak of Garfield, NJ.   Joseph proudly served our country from 1959-1963 with the US Marine Corps.  He was a member of Holy Spirit R.C. Church in Pompton Plains, NJ and graduated from Garfield High School and Fairleigh Dickinson University.  He worked as a salesman for Xerox, Inc. in Oradell, NJ and Rimage Corp. of Eden Prairie, Minnesota.  His wife of 55 years, Marie Behrens Malak, of Bloomfield NJ, survives at home.  He is also survived by his two sons Joseph B. Malak of Plainsboro, NJ, James T. Malak and his wife Lamis of West Milford, NJ, daughter Nancy Natoli and her husband Guy of Oak Ridge, NJ, his beloved grandchildren, Craig, Jenni, Melissa, several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Joseph was pre-deceased by his sister Georgia Miszlay.       GAIL SUSAN HOSKING CULVER, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK
		
          
Gail Susan Hosking Culver, beloved daughter of John R. "Dick" Hosking and Frances Murray Hosking passed away on Mach 19, 2020 in Port Jervis.  Gail was born in Port Jervis, New York on February 7, 1951.  She attended public school in Port Jervis and graduated from Mount Saint Mary's College.  
“Gaily," as she was fondly called by her husband Michael, was a retired teacher who taught for 30+ years in several school systems, including Louisville, KY, and Sussex, NJ.  Gail was an admired and respected educator by both her students and colleagues.  She especially loved to instill a joy of reading in her students, often resorting to dressing in appropriate costumes to read to them and enjoying their participation.  She had a wicked sense of humor and sarcasm that she used in school and with her friends and family.
Gail's daughter Amanda Culver Davis absorbed her mother's love of learning and sense of play and also became a special needs teacher in the Port Jervis High School.  Gail and Amanda loved each other unconditionally and that love grew stronger with the arrival of Gail's grandsons Brady and Flynn. Brady especially loved Gail, calling her "That Momma" from the very start. The bond that they shared was extremely special.
Gail was also a wonderful and supportive mother to Mike's son Zachary and later grandmother to his sons Jacob and Lucas.  To them she was Grandma Gail.  In addition, Gail (Gailma) was like a grandmother to her nieces Devon and Paige Stuart and she loved them and was beyond proud of them.
Gail was an amazing grandmother to all her boys and loved nothing more than spending time with them doing whatever they asked of her. It was incredibly special for Amanda to watch her mom form a bond with her sons that will last forever. 
Gail is survived by her heartbroken husband of 39 years, her adoring and eternally grateful daughter,  loving step son, and Gail's much loved son-in-law Bryan Davis. Her beloved mother-in-law, Etheleen  Culver of Louisville, Kentucky.  She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, friends, and cousins.  Gail was a member of the Drew United Methodist Church, Port Jervis, a member of the New Jersey Retired Teacher’s Association and a board member of the Port Jervis Housing Authority.  
Gail's kindness toward all animals was legendary and she is survived by a menagerie of house animals that she spoiled with a passion including lost cats and a squirrel named "Baby No Tail" who always returned for her tender loving care.  Due to the current health crisis, with love and respect to Gail’s family and friends, a celebration of Gail’s Life at the Drew United Methodist Church, Port Jervis will be announced at a later date. Eunice H. Sampson age 90 of Matamoras, PA passed away on Friday March 13, 2020 in Freedon, NJ. She was born on October 5, 1929 in Madison, WI the daughter of the late Arthur M. Hoffman and Helen K. Wiese Hoffman. Eunice was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Port Jervis, a member of the PJ Womens Bowling Team, and  The D&H Square Dancers. She is survived by her daughter Karen Meyer and husband Al of Milford, PA, her son, Ronald Sampson and wife Kathy of Bremerton, WA, three grandchildren;  Amy DuFour and husband David, Chelsea Rasmussen and husband Joshua, Corbit Sampson and fiancé Ashley; several nieces and one nephew. Eunice was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Leonard Sampson. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.       PHILIP F. WELLS, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK 
		
          Philip F. Wells, age 92 passed away on March 5, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Port Jervis, NY.
A life-long resident of Port Jervis, NY, he was born on June 7, 1927, the son of F. Lyle Wells and Elizabeth Furman Wells.
He was a lifelong member of the Drew United Methodist Church. For over 60 years he was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  Philip served during WWII and was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps. The retired owner of Wells, Tobacco, Candy and Paper Products, Inc. in Port Jervis, NY, he worked tirelessly at this business with his wife Gladys at his side.
Surviving are his wife Gladys (Boop) Wells of  69 years, his daughter Nancy Duvinski and husband Edward, his son Donald Wells and wife Tommye,  his brother Paul Wells and wife Janet, and his nephews David Wells, Mark Wells and niece Beth (Wells) Hostetter.
Philip requested that services be private. Interment will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY.  Please remember him with your thoughts in your own special way.

Joahann Sherpinski age 77 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania passed away  February 25, 2020 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY.  Joahann was born on  August 11, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland the daughter of  Charles and Mary DeFazio Sherpinski.  Joahann retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse for The Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.  She is survived by her daughters, Carol Cook of Matamoras, Pennsylvania, Charlotte Bowers  of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Cheryl Sherpinski of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Cathy Lane of Mammouth Spring, Arkansas, 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.       JOSEPH A. FORMISANO, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK 
		
          
Joseph A. Formisano  age 63 of Port Jervis, NY passed away February 29, 2020 in Saddle River, New Jersey.  He was born on June 12, 1956 in the Bronx, NY, raised in New Rochelle, NY, the son of Anthony Formisano, Sr. and the late Eleanor Mandarano Formisano.  Joe retired as a clerk from the Port Jervis Postal System after 31 years of dedicated service.  He married Colleen  O’Sullivan Formisano, who survives at home.  He is also survived by his son David Formisano at home, his daughters, Erin Formisano of Washingtonville, NY, Kristin Formisano of Pine Bush, and Johanna Formisano at home, his father Anthony Formisano, Sr. of New Rochelle, NY, his sister Maria Walter and her husband George of Milford, Connecticut,  his two brothers, Anthony Formisano and his wife Carol of Redhook, NY, John Formisano and his wife Susan of Garner, North Carolina, several nieces nephews and cousins.  A family statement read, “ Joe lived life to the fullest.  He thoroughly enjoyed seeing and speaking to all the familiar faces daily at the post office.  Joe loved his family, above all he loved the Lord.  He is now at peace with our heavenly father above.  Visitation will be private for family.  Interment will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY.  A celebration of Joe’s life will be held 2 PM Thursday, March 5, at the Drew United Methodist Church, Sussex St., Port Jervis.  Pastor  Jake Hackel will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be made in Joe’s name to Joni and Friends, 340 Highland Drive, Ste. 200, Mountville, PA 17554.
