      LISA SUSANNE ZINNER-BRACE, HASTINGS, FLORIDA, FORMERLY OF PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK
		
          Lisa Susanne Zinner-Brace age 53 of Hastings, Florida and formerly of Port Jervis, NY passed away February 24, 2020 at her home.  She was born in Port Jervis, NY on January 3, 1967 the daughter of the late Burkhard Zinner and Susanne Schneider Case who survives.  Lisa is also survived by her two sons, Geoffrey Outwater and his companion Kristin  Connelly of Port Jervis, Michael Brace and his companion Kristen Conklin of Florida, her mother Susanne Case of Sula, Montana, her beloved granddaughters Sawyer Outwater and Jade Brace, her step-granddaughter Madison Burigo, her sister Terri L. DeVore- Howlett and her husband Harold of Port Jervis, her two aunts, Pamela Unich of Texas and Helga Leibacher of Germany, her nephew John DeVore, her loving companion, James Yocius and several cousins.  Lisa was pre-deceased by her step-father Doug Case.  Visitation will be held 4 PM-5:30 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2020  the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.  Memorial services will follow at 5:30 PM at the funeral Home with Rev. Amy Garrett officiating. Private interment will take place Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY.       WILLIAM R. OGRODNICK, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK
		
          

William R. Ogrodnick age 90 of Port Jervis, NY passed away  peacefully at the home of his daughter Lynn and her husband Bill on Friday, February 21, 2020.  Willie was born on June 3, 1929 in Port Jervis, NY the son of Andrew and Anastasia Kanopka Ogrodnick.  He retired as a tool and die maker for Channel Master in Ellenville, NY.  Willie married Sarah  M. Perry who pre-deceased him in 2017.  He is survived by his two daughters, Lynn Pagano and her husband Bill and Donna Ross and her husband John all of Port Jervis.  Willie is also survived by his beloved grandchildren; Darren Biccum, Eric Biccum and his wife JoAnn, Amy Martin, Jenna Geiger and her husband Jon, John Ross and his wife Ashley and Jesse Ross, his great grandchildren, Emmeline and William Biccum, several nieces and nephews and his very special friend James Bell of Port Jervis.  Willie was pre-deceased by his grandson Joel Biccum,  his brothers, Michael, Fred, John and Walter Ogrodnick, his sisters, Kathryn  Dembeck  and Olga Pericone.  In his younger life Willie was a diver for Rescue & Salvage Co. #3, Port Jervis Fire Dept.   Willie was a longtime member of the Tri-State Rod & Gun Club, and the Fontinalis Fly Fishing Club, he loved to hunt and fly fish.  The family vacations  every year were planned around a great trout stream.  He never missed his grandchildrens' sporting events, he was their strongest fan.  He was the best husband, daddy, grandpa, and great grandpa, uncle, father-in-law and friend.  Willie told the best jokes even though he would make them up as he went along.  There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix.  If he did not have the part, he made it himself.  He was an expert gunsmith.  He had his own shop and fixed guns for the local sporting goods stores.  He built his own gun which he used for many shooting matches  he attended.  Willie was an expert marksman.  He was a regular every morning at Chrissies Deli in Matamoras, he enjoyed being there with his friends immensely.  Willie loved animals and cared for a a group of feral cats faithfully.   He had so many different talents and was an amazing man.  We will miss him forever.  Willie's family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan nurses, Amanda and Laurel. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Spring interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Jervis.       ROBERT "BOBBY"  ANTHONY CORVINO, MIDDLETOWN, NEW YORK, FORMERLY OF PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK
		
          
Robert Anthony Corvino ( Bobby) of Middletown, NY, died on February 13, 2020 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY. Bobby was born on September 19, 1981 in Port Jervis, NY, the loving son of Elizabeth and Robert Corvino. He graduated from Port Jervis High School in 2000 and SUNY Cortland in 2004. He also received his Substance Abuse Counselor certification from SUNY Orange, and most currently was employed as a counselor at Catholic Charities in Monticello, NY.
Bobby suffered many physical and emotional challenges during his shortened life. He was born with Alports Syndrome, a genetic kidney disease, and underwent two kidney transplants. Bobby kept fighting back, time and time again, until his strength finally gave out. Bobby was a charismatic, compassionate and gentle man. He loved his family, the University of Michigan Football, playing tennis, and the study of history.
Bobby leaves behind his parents, Bob and Betty Corvino of Port Jervis, NY; his sister, Karen Corvino and her husband, Paulo Cunha, of Valley Cottage, NY; his godson and nephew, Alexander Corvino Cunha, and his niece, Natalie Corvino Cunha.  He is survived by his uncles and aunts, Tom and Sherri Dobbelaer, of McKinney, TX; Linda and John Gabrielle of Yorktown, NY; and Richard and Andrea Dobbelaer of Valley Cottage, NY; and seven cousins.  He also leaves behind many supportive coworkers and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2-6 PM  at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.  Funeral services will follow at 6 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst officiating.

      GARY ALVORD (PHIPPS) PHILLIPS, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Gary Alvord (Phipps) Phillips passed away on February 11, 2020 at Orange Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 22,1950 in Port Jervis, NY, the first born child of  Helene and Alvord Phillips.
Gary grew up in Port Jervis, NY with his siblings, cousins and friends always close by.  He sought out a good time and had fun creating his own mischief.  He lived a very storied life and enjoyed sharing those stories with everyone.
Gary was in the Port Jervis Senior Class of 1968.  After his senior year was over Gary proudly served our country with the US Marine Corp in Vietnam from 1968 to 1970.  After returning home from Vietnam he married his sweetheart Kathleen Hendershot.  Together they created their perfect life, which included their 2 children and many adventures.
Gary had many different jobs throughout his life; creating things with his hands, continually learning new things.  Helping and teaching others gave him great joy in sharing what he knew. He retired from a local carpenter's union in 2005.  He was always the friend you could count on whenever you needed anything.
As an avid Sportsman he loved being out in nature, hunting and fishing with his friends and family.  His property in Upstate NY was his favorite place for him to be away from the worries of the world.
Gary was  a member of the Hawk's Nest Hunting Club, NRA, VFW, and American Legion Post.  He recently helped build the Veteran's Memorial in Sparrow Bush, NY.
He enjoyed spending time with is Forever Brothers in his local Veteran's group.  Gary will be greatly missed by his loving wife Kathy, his mother Helene, his daughter Paige Zenes, her husband John, his son Scott and his Fiance Lisa Martin.  His grandchildren, which he loved and adored to the moon and back;Tiffanee, Carter, Calla, Hadleigh Zenes. Maximus Alvord Phillips, Haley and CJ Innes, Lauren Martin.  His great grandaughtrers; Shaylen and Lenyx Labrecque.  His siblings, Laurie, Russell (Kathrine), and Helayne Phillips, many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.  His dear Aunt Carol Tufano, Corey Bessette who Gary and Kathy looked upon as a son, and many friends who will miss him dearly. 
Gary was predeceased by his sister Jackie Savannah and his father and fishing buddy Alvord Phillips Jr.  His Mother-in-Law and Father-in-Law, Cecelia and Lester Hendershot, and friends who left this earth way too soon.

Jo-Ann Lynn DiRoma, age 71, of Dingmans Ferry, PA and formerly of Port Jervis, NY, passed away February 10, 2020 at her home.  She was born on February 29, 1948 in the Bronx, New York.  She was the daughter of Joseph and Rosalina DiRoma.  Jo-Ann retired as a dietician aide for the Milford Health Care and Rehabilitation Facility.  She is survived by her daughter, Michele Arnold and her husband Paul of Dingmans Ferry, PA, her three sons, Michael Morris and his wife Jessica Harris of Port Jervis,  Adam Morris and his fiancé Deserie of Goshen, NY, Scott Morris and his wife Jill of Port Jervis, her brother John Robert DiRoma, her beloved five grandchildren; Zachary, Gabriel, Alana, Anthony, and Logan, her two nephews, Phillip and Nicholas DiRoma, her niece,  Autumn Greene.           Roger R. Roa, Sr. age 76 of Westfall Township, Pennsylvania, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY.
Roger was born on August 15, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York the son of the late Armand Roa and Winifred Burcham Roa, who survives.
Roger retired as a welder from Kolmar Labs, Inc. in Port Jervis.
He was married to Judy Prey Roa who survives at home. Roger is also survived by his mother, Winifred Roa of Matamoras, PA; his three sons: Roger Roa and his wife, Cindy of Shohola, Donald Roa and his wife, Bettina of Shohola, Jim Ellison, Jr. and his wife, Robin of Matamoras; his three daughters: Joann Gillen and her husband, Jon of Fair Oaks, NY, Jeri Lamb and her husband, Tommy of Fort Mills, SC, Joanie Comfort and her husband, Miles of Matamoras; his two brothers, Richie Roa and his wife, Karen of Westfall Township, Armand Roa and his wife, Kathy of Brooksville, FL; his beloved grandchildren: Ryan, Darren, Stephanie, Samantha, Caitlin, Justin, Amber, Thomas, Douglas, Adrianna, Matthew and Brandon; his great-grandchildren, Harlan and Cooper; several nieces and nephews.

She was born on July 18, 1928 in Port Jervis, NY the daughter of Leo and Josephine Mayer Waycie.  Kay married George T. Brundage who pre-deceased her.  She is survived by her two daughters including Donna Yennie and her companion Ed Pavlich of Port Jervis.  Kathryn is also survived by her grandchildren; David Lynn, Brad Lynn and his wife Danielle, Brian Yennie and his wife Kathy, several great grandchildren;  She was pre-deceased by her daughter Fay Lynn, her grandson William H. She was born on July 24, 1949 in Dover, New Jersey the daughter of Virgil Weaver and Jean Hazen Weaver.  Marjorie is survived by her husband Stephen J. Martincak who survives at home.           Leonard  “Pounder” Balch, Jr. age 87, of Matamoras, PA passed away January 31, 2020 in Port Jervis, NY. Len was born on December 26, 1932 in Port Jervis, NY the son of Leonard  L. Balch , Sr. and Hazel McElroy Balch.  He proudly served our country during the Korean War with the U.S. Air Force.  Len retired as an administrator and math teacher from the Monticello Central School District.  He also taught math as an adjunct math professor at Orange County Community College.  He was a member of the Devore-Quinn Post #486, American Legion, Matamoras,  PA, a member of the  Lost Camp Hunting Club, Westfall, PA, an active member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Elks, #645 B.P.O.E., a past member of the Stone Dock Hunting Club in Pond Eddy, NY, and a former member of the Matamoras Fire Dept..  Leonard married  Joan DeAngelo Balch who pre-deceased him.  He is survived by his two sons, Aaron Balch and his wife  Kathy of Wind Gap, PA, and Timothy Balch and his wife  Jill of Tafton, PA, his beloved grandchildren; Aaron John, Bryan, Taylor, Amber and Aliah Balch, his great grandchildren; Brenna, Madeline and Beckett, several nieces, nephews and cousins, including his special nephew Bruce DeAngelo and his wife Leila. William J. McCooey, Jr. age 74 of Sparrowbush, NY passed away January 31, 2020 in Dover, New Jersey.  He was born on December 20, 1945 in Port Jervis, NY the son of William J. and Harriet Percival McCooey.  Bill  retired from Shop-Rite Food Store in Montague, New Jersey  and the Eddy Farm Hotel in Sparrowbush.  He was  a life time member of the Swing Gate Hunting Club.  He married Corinth Reed McCooey who survives at home.  He is also survived by his son William McCooey and his wife Leanda  of Port Jervis, his daughter Dawn Walsh and her husband Rev. Mark Walsh of Barryville, NY, his brother James McCooey and his wife Pat of Sparrowbush, his beloved six grandchildren and six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Bill was pre-deceased by his brother Thomas McCooey, Sr. on November 22, 2019.  Visitation will be held  10 AM-12 noon Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Mildred D. Turner  age 91 of Port Jervis, NY passed away  January 29, 2020 in Warwick, New York.  Millie was born on November  19, 1928 in Westtown, New York the daughter of  Floyd and Gladys Winne Decker.  She retired from Kolmar Labs, Inc. as a press operator.  Mildred was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Port Jervis,  and a past president  of the Port Jervis Seniors.  She was married Richard Turner for 58 years who pre-deceased  her in 2006.  Mildred is survived by her son Steven Turner of Port Jervis, NY, her two daughters; Susan Turner  of  Deerpark, and Janey Beck of York Pa, her very close and dear friend, Patricia Filipowski, her brother Kenneth Simons and his wife Lorraine of Unionville, NY, her sister Linda Compton of Unionville, NY, her beloved grandchildren; James (Tara) and Michael (Missy) Christiano, Kaitlynn, Jacqueline  and Devin Beck and Jason (Amy) Turner, her four great grandchildren; Caleb, Claire, Judah, Madisyn, several nieces and nephews Visitation will be held 10:30 AM- 12 noon, Tuesday, February 4, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Mary M. Heal age 90 of Port Jervis, NY passed away  Monday, January 27, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Place, Port Jervis, NY.  She was born on March 11, 1929 in Port Jervis, the daughter of Stephen and  Mary Sedelnick Baran.  Mary retired after many years as a cashier at Spangenberg’s Grocery Store, in Port Jervis, NY.  She is survived by her son Michael  Heal and his wife Bonnie of Port Jervis, her two daughters, Paula Lynch and her husband William of The Villages, Florida, and Diana  Russell of Delanco, New Jersey, her beloved grandchildren; Kristian Dermody and his wife Amy, Joseph Dermody and his husband Ryan, Chad Umansky and his wife Kim, Lexis Davis and her husband Derrick, Cassidy Heal, Brent Spoonhower, Tara Spoonhower, her great grandchildren, Shayla, Ivy, Trey, River, and Adam; her step-grandchildren, Kyle and Randy.  Mary is also survived by her nieces and nephews; Teddy Brych and his wife Alice, Judy Conklin and her husband Kenneth, Steve Babey and his wife Rosemary, Dominick Tufano and his wife Barbara. Mary was pre-deceased by her daughter Irene Spoonhower, and her sisters Catherine Brych and Ann Tufano.
