SHIRLEY HARRIS HACKETT, SALISBURY, MARYLAND, FORMERLY OF MATAMORAS, PENNSYLVANIA

Shirley Harris Hackett, 93, of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019 peacefully at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born on April 19, 1925 in Matamoras, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Harris and Katherine Swinton and foster daughter of the late Henry and Madeline Rappold.
Shirley graduated from Matamoras High School, class of 1942. She attended business school in Middletown, NY. Shirley retired from William Carroll Agency Insurance Company as an Insurance Broker after 20 plus years of service. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Salisbury and the Red Hat Society in Salisbury. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling with her family, and reading. Shirley was an active volunteer and won the Hospice Volunteer of the Year Award.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Nancy Horner and her husband Don of Salisbury, MD; a son, Craig Hackett and his wife Marcia of Eldersburg, MD; a sister, Marilyn Parks and her husband Bob of Livingston Manor, NY; two Granddaughters, Amanda Carlisle and her husband Chris and Dr. Victoria Derr; Two Grandsons, Scott Hackett and his significant other Josh Goodyear and Christopher Hackett and his wife Elizabeth; and two great grandchildren, Evelyn Hackett and Emerson Hackett. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Hackett.
The family would like to personally thank the staff of Wicomico Nursing Home for their excellent care over the last several years where she was a resident.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM August 10, 2019 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Matamoras, PA

TAMMY KEITEL, SHOHOLA, PENNSYLVANIA
Tammy Keitel age 56 of Shohola, Pennsylvania passed away July 24, 2019 at her home with her husband by her side. She was born on June 1, 1963 in Cornwall, NY the daughter of the late Donald and Constance Fiege Storms. Tammy worked for the Borderline Delicatessen in Pine Bush, NY for many years. She married Scott Keitel who survives at home. Tammy is also survived by her step-son Joseph Keitel and his wife Kandra of Afton, NY, her beloved tree step-grandchildren, Christian, Alivia, Arianna, and her sister Melissa Storms of West Virginia. ALAN J. MOSHER, MONTAGUE, NEW JERSEY

Alan J. Mosher age 72 of Montague, New Jersey went to be with the Lord July 17, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Alan was born on November 21, 1946 in Port Jervis, NY the son of the late LeRoy and Barbara Teachman Mosher. He proudly served our country during the Viet Nam War with the US Army. Alan retired as a telephone switchman for Frontier Telephone Co, in Port Jervis and Middletown, NY after 43 years of dedicated service. He was a very faithful member of the Baleville Congregational Church in Hampton Township, New Jersey, serving as a trustee, choir member and member of the worship band. He was a member, former Lt. and treasurer of the Delaware Engine Co. #2, Port Jervis Fire Dept. Alan loved playing guitar and singing, being the family handyman, watching the NY Mets, sitting with his cat Tiger Lily and dearly loved his family and friends. Alan married Barbara J. Hill Mosher who survives at home. He is also survived by his son, Jeffrey Mosher and his wife Michelle of Kapolei, Hawaii, and his daughter Alison Mosher of Mililani, Hawaii, his beloved triplet grandsons Michael, Samual and Shannon, his sisters; Nancy Mosher, Peggy Closs, Betty Hoodak, Joan Conklin and Roxanne Kolodziejski, his brothers; Rick, Jim, Lee and George Mosher, his step-mother Harriett Mosher, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Alan was pre-deceased by his sister Yvonne Granger. Visitation will be held 4-7 PM Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 23 at 12 noon at the Baleville Congregational Church, 6 Church Road, Newton, NJ, with Pastor James Backing officiating. WILLI "PAPA" SCHOLZ, HUGUENOT, NEW YORK

Willi “Papa” Scholz age 57 of Huguenot, NY passed away July 10, 2019 at home surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on August 6, 1961 in Port Jervis, NY the son of Willi and Luise Beuter Scholz. Willi worked for Summitt Research in Huguenot. He was a faithful member of the New Apostolic Church in Montague, New Jersey. He was an avid Jets Fan and enjoyed cooking and entertaining for his family and friends. If you left his home hungry it was due to one’s own choice. He had an infectious smile and possessed an uplifting personality to anyone he encountered. Willi married Jody Decker Scholz who survives at home. He is also survived by his son Willi Scholz and his fiancé Krystal Cable at home, his brother, Helmut Scholz and his wife Sonia of the State of Florida, his sisters; Gabriele Stier and her husband Bruce of Clifton, New Jersey, Margarete Scholz of Germany, Regina McPoyle and her husband Clay, Ruth Corrado, Ursula Scholz all of the State of Florida, his mother-in-law Kathy Decker of Cuddebackville, his sisters-in-law Kim Gallo and her husband Joseph, Jill Decker and her companion Dan, Holly Schure and her companion Dave, several nieces and nephews. Willi was pre-deceased by his daughter Katie Decker, his sisters, Renate and Elaine and his father-in-law Oliver “Obie” Decker. Marion L. McCollum age 82 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania passed away June 29, 2019 at Belle Reve, Milford, PA. Marion was born on August 23, 1936 in Port Jervis, NY the daughter of Harold and Frances Whit Braisted. Marion worked as a beautician and was the owner of the Beauty Box in Matamoras for many years. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Matamoras, PA and a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Milford Fire Dept.. She is survived by her two sons; Clark McCollum of Glen Spey, NY and Roger McCollum of Milford, PA, her beloved grandchildren Kendall and Levi McCollum, and several nieces and nephews. Marion was pre-deceased by her two sisters Irene Travis and Joan Skinner and her brother Harold “Brud” Braisted. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday, July 5, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. ALICE L. GUNDERMAN, SPARROWBUSH, NEW YORK

Alice L.Gunderman age 86 of Sparrowbush, NY passed away June 27, 2019 at her home with her family by her side. Alice was born on October 22, 1932 in Sparrowbush, NY the daughter of Mark and Catherine Conklin Van Horn. Alice retired as a manager for Sears Catalog Store in Port Jervis after many years of dedicated service. She was a very faithful member of the Deerpark Reformed Church, consistory member, Elder, Deacon and a member of the Women’s League For Service of the Church. She volunteered for many years at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis. Alice married William F. Gunderman who pre-deceased her. She is survived by her son Michael Gunderman at home, her daughter Joan Montanye and her husband Richard of Pine bush, NY, her beloved grandchildren Kristin Gunderman and her companion Andrew Dembeck, Kiley Zugibe and her husband Jason, Jason Gunderman and his wife Caitlyn, Jenelle Gunderman and her companion Thomas France, her beloved great grandchildren; Zackary and Camden Zugibe and Miles Gunderman and her long time companion Tony Calvacca.
