LORRAINE DECKER, NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FLORIDA, FORMERLY OF MATAMORAS, PENNSYLVANIA

Lorraine Decker age 68 of New Smyrna Beach, FL and formerly of Matamoras, PA left this earth peacefully with her family by her side on December 30, 2018 in Manhattan, New York. This world will miss a very special and loving person. She was born in Port Jervis, New York on September 18, 1950, the daughter of the late Vernon and Florence Carpenter. She was the kindest and most compassionate person you could ever meet. She loved and was loved by everyone that had the opportunity to meet her. She was known for saying “Always stop and smell the roses” and “never put off tomorrow what you can do today”. Lorraine retired as an assembler from Kolmar Labs, Inc. in Port Jervis and was former vice president of the Mill Rift Fire Dept.
She is survived by her devoted loving husband William Decker, of New Smyrna Beach, FL., Her loving daughters, Shawna Pierro and her fiance’ Andrew Jones, of Winter Garden, FL, Dawn Colon and her husband Frank Colon of Matamoras, PA, and her loving son, Darren Decker and his fiance’ Jocelyn Kyles of Matamoras, PA. Her four grandchildren which she adored and cherished, Brendan and Christopher Pierro and Nicholas and Makayla Colon. She is also survived by her dear brother William Carpenter of Port Jervis, NY and several nieces and nephews. Lorraine was pre-deceased by her brother James Carpenter, and her sisters Elsie Penny, Edna Hack and Jean Carpenter
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2018 from 3:30-730 PM at Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 East Main Street Port Jervis, NY. Joan M. Sullivan age 82 of Glen Spey, New York passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Place in Port Jervis, NY. She was born on May 3, 1936 in Little Falls, New York the daughter of Stanley and Loretta Murphy Gray. Joan married Robert N. Sullivan who pre-deceased her. She is survived by her daughter Cheri Hosack and her husband Michael of Sparrowbush, NY, her two sons; Robert D. Sullivan and his wife Phyllis of Middletown, NY, Shawn Sullivan and his wife Charlene of Middletown, NY, her beloved grandchildren; Michael, Robert, Alyssa and Logan, her five great grandchildren; Tyler, Katlin, Carl, Octavia and Riley. Joan was pre-deceased by her brother David Gray and her grandson Brendan Sullivan. Cremation took place HG Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Marie A. Cramer age 93 of Port Jervis, NY passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018 at her home. She was born on May 9, 1925 in Middletown, NY and is the daughter of the late James H. and Florence Holly Casterlin. Marie was predeceased by her husband Ernest W. Cramer. She loved to bake homemade apple pies for her late husband Ernie to sell on the bakery route. Marie is survived by; two daughters: Darlene Amarilla and husband Alex, and Sherry Cramer; three sons: Allan Cramer and wife Judith, Lee cramer and wife Mary, and Brian Cramer and wife Denise; eight grandchildren: Alexi Amarilla, Cramer and wife Hannah, Aaron, Cheyenne, Janet and her fiance Chris Fenst, Kyle, Brandon, Brianna Cramer and her companion Jamel Greene; four great-grandchildren: Logan, Haileigh, and Savannah Cramer, and Jeremiah Greene; several nieces and nephews. KENNETH D. MARCH, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Kenneth D. March age 98 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at his home. He was born on December 14, 1920 in Port Jervis, NY the son of the late Charles and Myrtie Dillistin March. Kenneth proudly served our country as a Staff Sgt. in the US Army during the World War II and was a member of The Rosa-Fleming VFW Post #161, Port Jervis. He owned and operated March’s Deerpark Creamery. After selling his business he he worked for John Arborio Construction Co. He was elected as Coroner for Orange County which he held office for 28 years. Kenneth was married to the late Emily A. Pepper March who predeceased him. He is survived by his son Jack D. March and wife Diane of Port Jervis, NY his daughter Linda March of Port Jervis, NY, his sister Cynthia Solmon of Bloomington, IN., his beloved grandchildren; Jackie Lynn DePuy, Gina Kent, Jill Maruszewski, Jodi Gonzales, Kenneth March, MD, Michale March, Jacqueline Behnke, 16 great-grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. EDWIN REID PAIGE, JR., WESTBROOKVILLE, NEW YORK

Edwin Reid Paige Jr, age 79, has entered into eternal rest on December 16, 2018 at Golden Hill nursing home in Kingston, NY. Ed was born in Newburgh, NY the son of Edwin and Margaret (Donovan) Paige on February 26, 1939. Ed graduated from The Otisville High School with the class of 1957. He always looked forward to his annual class reunions. He continued his education at OCCC were he achieved as A.S. degree. Ed honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1961-63. He was a self sufficient carpenter who built a home for his family in Westbrookville in 1972. He was a loving father and husband who thoroughly enjoyed his work, RVing, and bluegrass festivals. Immediate surviving family includes his wife Jean (Remey) Paige of 46 years and their son, Eddie. The visitation will be held on Tuesday afternoon from 3 PM -7 PM at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday at Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home in Port Jervis. Rev. Kevin Mulqueen will officiate. Joan Ann Wilcox age 82 of Port Jervis, NY passed away December 14, 2018 at home. She was born on March 18, 1936 in Port Jervis, NY the daughter of the late August and Antoinette DeAngelo Salva. Joan Ann retired as a secretary for Smith Plumbing and Heating Co. in Port Jervis. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Port Jervis, a member of Catholic Daughters Court Madonna #114, Port Jervis and a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society, Port Jervis. Joan Ann was a 50 year member of the Girl Scouts of America, Sarah Wells Council, Port Jervis, and former troop leader of the Brownies, Daisies, and Girl Scouts. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, James F. Wilcox. Joan is also survived by her four daughters; Debra Decker and her husband Eugene of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Diane Barber and her husband Michael of Sparrowbush, Donna Potere and her husband Richard of Millersville, Maryland, Deneen Basile and her husband Robert of Fredericksburg, Virginia, her beloved grandchildren; Eric, Dylan and his wife Stephanie, Matthew and his wife Jessica, Megan, Hannah, Ryan, Emily, Christopher and his wife Bailey, Andrew and Kaitlyn, her seven great grandchildren; Cameron, Mia, Lexi, Madelyn, Harper, Peyton and Logan, her brothers-in-law; Kenneth Fuchylo Sr. of North Carolina, David Wilcox and his wife Elizabeth of Colorado Springs, Colorado, several nieces and nephews, and her devoted home health aide Beverly Parker. She was pre-deceased by her sister Carole Fuchylo. Joan was everything to her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother to her girls and a dedicated grandmother. Eugene “Gene” Drew age 71 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at home. He was born on January 4, 1947 in Port Jervis, NY the son of the late Frederick Drew. Gene was the grandson of the late James R. and Thelma Drew who raised him. He is survived by his son J.R. Drew and his wife Tracy of Port Jervis, NY, his grandsons Jordan and Justin Drew. He is also survived by his step-mother Alice Drew of Port Jervis, his uncle Richard F. Drew and his wife Barbara of Port Jervis, his sister-in-law Carol Drew of Port Jervis, his niece Nicole Russell and her husband Bruce, his cousins Melissa Drew Haight and her companion Todd and Kyle Haight. He was pre-deceased by his father Frederick Drew and his brother Richard A.“Rick” Drew. Gene was an avid bowler and a member of the Minisink Lanes Bowling League. He enjoyed playing softball and golf. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. James C. Carpenter age 77 of Port Jervis, NY passed away December 6, 2018 in Middletown, NY. He was born on August 24, 1941 in Port Jervis, NY the son of Clifford C. and Caroline J. Hosking Carpenter. Jim retired as a glass grinder for Gillinder Brothers Glass Co. in Port Jervis. He married Jean Carpenter who pre-deceased him. He is survived by his son James Carpenter, Jr. and his wife Erin of Port Jervis, his two daughters; Victoria Lapriore and her husband Joseph of Athol, Massachusetts, and Kathleen Carpenter and her companion David Stewart of Port Jervis, his beloved grandchildren; Jennifer Quiroga, Lauren and Jordan Lapriore, Tyler, Jeffrey, Heaven, Sabrina, Joshua and Jessica Carpenter, his three great grandchildren; Cindel, Ian, Haley and his brother Robert Carpenter of Levittown, Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews. Ruth L. Szucs age 93 of Montague, New Jersey passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018. She was born on January 22, 1925 in Damascus, Pennsylvania the daughter of Otto Freiermuth and Victoria Dexter. Ruth retired from Little Tots, Inc. in Port Jervis as a sewing machine operator. She married George Meckle who pre-deceased her and then married Paul A. Szucs who pre-deceased her on August 12, 2018. Ruth is survived by her step-daughter Paula Szucs of Port Jervis, her son-in-law Allen Estok of Sagamore Estates, Pennsylvania and several nieces. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Sherry Estok and her brother Silas Freiermuth. Services were held at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. FRANK K. ROWE, MATAMORAS, PENNSYLVANIA

Frank K. Rowe age 88 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania passed away December 9, 2018 at his home. He was born on May 18, 1930 in Matamoras, the son of Frank W. and Anna Meyer Rowe. Frank proudly served our country during the Korean War with the US Army. He was a long time member of the Matamoras Fire Dept. and was an avid fisherman. Frank married Doris A. Decker Rowe who predeceased him in January 2007. He is survived by his daughter Leisa Rowe of Mooresville, North Carolina, his sister Hermina Brundage of Port Jervis, his beloved grandson Nolan William Rowe, several nieces including his special nieces Tammie Rake Klemm and Bobbie Jo Muller. Frank was pre-deceased by his daughter Robin Lee Rowe in 2014 and his brother Kenneth Rowe.
Frank will be deeply missed by many who loved him. Frank loved to hunt and fish and loved outdoor activities. You could see him tinkering on his fishing boat most days and loved just to make his own little inventions, He was very talented when it came to art in which he used that god given skill to be one of the best union welders in the community. He loved watching his NASCAR on Sundays and was forever Philadelphia Eagle football fan. The Heaters Hill Gang will miss him dearly as he was always having a beer or two with them up on Heaters Hill on most weekends. Frank was a simple and quiet man but his wisdom and love spoke volumes.

Frank T. Miller, Jr. age 81 of Marietta, GA and formerly of Port Jervis, NY passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Marietta, GA. He was born on February 15, 1937 in Poughkeepsie, NY and is the son of the late Frank T. Miller, Sr and Willianna Parks Percival. Frank proudly served our country as a US Marine. He worked at C & D Battery in Huguenot, NY. Frank was married to the late Barbara Miller. He is survived by: two daughters; Lisa Acton and husband Walter of Marietta, GA, and Linda Cleary and husband Bob of Lansing, MI; one sister: Betty Ann Ramey of Vermont; four grandchildren (Courtnay Thiele, Jake Cleary, Lauren Cleary, and Caroline Cleary) and one great grandchild (McKayla Thiele). Arthur “Scott” Robinson age 69 of Port Jervis, NY passed away December 4, 2018 in Middletown, New York. Scott was born on July 14, 1949 in Port Jervis, NY the son of Carl and Delores Kroeger Robinson Gill. He retired as a produce manager for the Grand Union Food Store in Port Jervis, NY and Milford, PA after many years of dedicated service. Scott married Karen McLaughlin Robinson who survives at home. He is also survived by his daughter Kelly Talmadge and her husband David of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, his son Gregory Robinson and his fiancé Jerianne Baumgardner of Sparrowbush, NY, his sister Sharon Card and her husband John of LaGrange, Indiana, his beloved grandchildren; Brandon, Zachary, Matthew, Kristen and Eli, several nieces and nephews. Scott was a member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Elks, #645, B.P.O.E., a 50 year life member of the Neversink Engine Co. #1, Port Jervis Fire Dept. and a long time member and Past President of the Tri-County Bowling Assoc. Francis “Woog” Pomes age 87 of Port Jervis, NY passed away November 29, 2018 in Milford, Pennsylvania. He was born on March 10, 1931 in Sparrowbush, NY the son of George and Ann Flannery Pomes. Francis proudly served our country with the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Roosa-Fleming VFW Post #161, Port Jervis. He retired after many years of dedicated service as a produce manager for the A&P Food Store in Port Jervis. Woog married Mary Ellen Ehrets Pomes who pre-deceased him.
