Jesse C. Jakubowski age 43 of Eldred, NY passed away, October 28, 2018, at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY. He was born on July 5, 1975, in Passaic, New Jersey. The son of Jesse A. and Irene Jakubowski. Jesse owned and operated Jetstream Auto Collision Repair in Eldred, NY. He was a member of St. Anthony's RC Church in Yulan, NY. Jesse is survived by; his parents, Jesse and Irene Jakubowski of Eldred, his two brothers Christopher Jakubowski and his wife Alison, Bobby Jakubowski and his wife Amber, his sister Yolanda Cabana and her husband William, his beloved nieces and nephews, Billy, Kayla, Alexander, Arabella, Baby Bobby, Jada and Angelica. Visitation will be held between 4-8 PM Friday, November 2, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 o’clock noon at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Yulan, NY. Rev. Joselin Berkmans will be the celebrant. CHERYL A. ROTHSTEIN, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK
Cheryl A. Rothstein, 69, of Port Jervis, NY passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at her home. She was born on June 17, 1949 in Port Jervis and is the daughter of the late Henry and Marjorie Horton Deitz.
Cheryl worked as a Medical Billing Clerk at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Middletown, NY.
She was married to her husband Raymond M. Rothstein who predeceased her. Cheryl is survived by five daughters: Tara Lyn Rothstein of Port Jervis, Denise Eyth and her husband, Ronnie of Port Jervis, Sherri McKinley and her companion, John Shook of Shohola, PA, Karissa L. Rothstein of Port Jervis, and Tania Ranich and her husband, Lincoln of Sparrowbush, NY; one son, Jon T. Kaufman and his wife, Tonya of Greeley, PA; one brother, Charles “Ricky” Dietz of Deer Park, NY; eleven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandchild Tristyn Ranich.
Cheryl loved her family and will be missed always.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 East Main Street, Port Jervis, NY 12771. Funeral services will be held at 4 pm at the funeral home. Interment will take place the following day, November 1, 2018 at 11:00am at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY.

Beth L. Morris age 65 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at her home. She was born on September 3, 1953 in Port Jervis, NY the daughter of the late George and Leila Quick Kurtz. Beth retired as a cashier from Shop Rite Food Store in Montague, New Jersey after 48 years of dedicated service. She married Daniel E. Morris who pre-deceased her in 2005. She is survived by her two sisters Barbara Ogrodnick of Sparrowbush and Nancy Howell of Port Jervis, her brother George Kurtz and his wife Pamela of Port Jervis, and several nieces and nephews. Beth was pre-deceased by her sisters Julie Ellson, Sheila Roberts, Betty Reilly and her brothers Daniel, David, and Thomas Kurtz. Charles F. Decker, Sr., age 71 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 at his home. He was born on February 27, 1947 in Port Jervis the son of the late Lester and Lizzie M. Scheels Decker. In his earlier years Charlie worked for Novelty Slipper Co. in Port Jervis, he then worked as a security guard for Blend Air Corp. in Rockland County, and Vorteck Corp. in Newburgh, NY. He retired as a crossing guard for the Port Jervis School District. He was a former member of Engine Co. #2, Port Jervis Fire Dept. Charles married Shirley A. Kuhlman Decker who survives at home. He is also survived by his two daughters LuLu VanSickle and her companion Gus of Texas, and Lizzie Decker of Port Jervis, his son Charles F. Decker, Jr. of Monticello, his brother Frederick “Sonny” Decker of Port Jervis, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sister Minnie Marsh. Visitation will be held 10:30 AM-11:30 AM Thursday, October 18th at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Eleanor A. Hill age 92 of Glen Spey, NY passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on March 29, 1926 in Glen Spey, NY the daughter of Emery and Margaret Weber Getz. Eleanor married Thomas F. Hill who pre-deceased her. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Calabria and her husband Nicholas of Glen Spey, her beloved grandchildren Michael Calabria and Maggie Hill, her sister Isabel Strenglein of Eldred and her niece Susan Schadt. She was pre-deceased by her two sons Thomas F. Hill and Steven M. Hill and her brother Edgar Getz. Funeral services and interment were held Tuesday, October 9th at Glen Spey Cemetery, Glen Spey, NY. Lois E. McCreery age 77 of Port Jervis, NY passed away October 5, 2018 at Middletown, NY. She was born on September 15, 1941 in Queens, New York the daughter of Thomas and Matilda Keilind Neville. Lois worked as a Librarian for the Warwick Library for many years. She married Thomas J. McCreery who survives at home. Lois is also survived by her son Thomas J. McCreey and his wife Barbara of Wurtsboro, NY, her daughter Dawn Noble of Silver Springs, Nevada, her brother John Neville of Long Island, her beloved grandchildren; Nickolas Noble, Samantha, Gale, Emily and Kyle McCreery, several nieces and nephews. Joan Sauschuck age 79 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Place, Port Jervis. She was born on May 27, 1939 in Port Jervis, the daughter of Wendy and Florence Armstrong Prisco. Joan worked as a teachers’s aide at the Sullivan Avenue School, Port Jervis School District. She was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Port Jervis, a member and former regent of the Catholic Daughters Court Madonna #114, Port Jervis and a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society, Port Jervis. Joan is survived by her three sons; George Sauschuck and his companion Patty Mantz of Huguenot, Randy Sauschuck and his wife Barbara of Sparrowbush, Michael Sauschuck and his wife Marina of Sparrowbush, her beloved grandchildren; Jeffrey Sauschuck and his wife Danielle, Stephanie Sauschuck and her companion Ethan Gehrke, Kim and Nicholas Sauschuck, Lindsay Roussos and her husband Michael, Taylor, Erin, Jarred and Cameron Sauschuck, Kim Norris and her husband Brandon and CJ Mantz., her great grandchildren; Alex, Brody, Layla, Luke, Sophia and Owen, several nieces and nephews. NAOMI "CLARE" REILLY, MATAMORAS, PENNSYLVANIA

Naomi “Clare” Reilly age 76 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania passed away October 4, 2018 at her home. Clare was born on November 7, 1941 in Huguenot, NY the daughter of Amos and Lucy Osborne Decker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She adored her children and grandchildren. Clare worked at Doctor’s Sunnyside Hospital, Mercy Community Hospital and St. Joseph’s Place in Port Jervis. One of Clare’s greatest accomplishments was receiving her L.P.N. in 1992 at the age of 51. She also was a very professional and compassionate caregiver to many people in their private homes during her nursing career. Clare married James M. Reilly who pre-deceased her on April 4, 2016, who was deeply missed. She is survived by her two sons Michael Reilly and his wife Stacey of Ft. Myers, Florida, Patrick Reilly and his wife Kim of Milford, Pennsylvania, her beloved grandchildren; Molly and Caitlyn Reilly, Kelly and Meghan, her two sisters Barbara Ross of Port Jervis, Marie Reil of Port Jervis and her brother John Decker and his wife Maureen of Huguenot, several nieces and nephews, including her special nephew Brandon Ross and his wife Missy. Clare was pre-deceased by her granddaughter Kathryn Reilly. Visitation will be held 2-6 PM, Monday, October 8th at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Jeffrey Carter age57 of Pine Bush, NY and formerly of Port Jervis, NY passed away September 24, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Jeff was born on December 2, 1960 in Port Jervis, NY the son of George Carter and the late Deanna Beardsley Carter Mills.
He is survived by his father George Carter of Matamoras, Pennsylvania, his aunts Dorothy Simkins of Colorado, Betty Sexton and Rachel Talmadge of Port Jervis and several cousins. He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandparents Richard and Catherine Hathaway, his maternal grandparents Wycliff and Marie Beardsley, his aunts, Margaret Mapes, Lois Nagy, and his uncle Franklin Carter. Jeff was a special person, always happy, caring and helpful in spite of autism. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. Jeff’s family would like to thank all the care givers and care workers who cared and guided Jeff through his life’s journey. Especially those most recent at Black Hawk South, Pine Bush. GLENN "BUTCH" ROSS, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK, FORMERLY OF SPARROWBUSH, NEW YORK

Glenn “Butch” Ross age 80 of Port Jervis, NY and formerly of Sparrowbush, NY passed away September 30, 2018 after a valiant battle with Parkinson's disease. He left in the comfort of his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on September 19, 1938 in Port Jervis, NY the son of Kenneth and Mary Esther Dunn Ross. In his earlier years he worked as a fireman for the Erie R.R. in Port Jervis until he started his own business Ross Masonary, Inc.. He later worked with Union Local #5 in Newburgh, NY until his retirement. He was a member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Masons #328 F & AM, a former member of the Sparrowbush Fire Dept., and a former assistant coach for the Port Jervis Pop Warner League. Butch enjoyed flying, was proud of his Mooney Planes, and was an Instrument Rated Pilot (IFR). Also, he was known for his Porsche sports cars. His family aspires to be like him and describes him as an amazingly kind, gentle, and loving soul who will be forever cherished. He married Barbara Decker Ross on October 20, 1956 who survives him at home. He is also survived by his two sons Glenn T. Ross, Jr. and his wife Janie of Port Jervis, Randy K. Ross and his companion Della Rae Stickle of Port Jervis, and his daughter Jill Howard and her husband Roger of Manchester, New Hampshire, his brother John Ross and his wife Carol of Spring Hill, Florida, his sister Sally Taylor of Port Jervis, his beloved grandchildren; Randy Paul Ross and his wife Amy, Brandon Ross and his wife Missy, Kristin Dunnell and her husband Jason, Kyle Ross and his wife Jill, Elizabeth Perry and her husband George, Brian Howard and his wife Chelsey, Amanda, Krystal and Aaron Ross, his great grandchildren; Braedan, Ryan, Megan, Collin, Eloise, Logan, Carter, Maliyah, Daniel Jeffrey, London, Stella, Greer, Cole and Newborn baby girl Howard, several nieces and nephews. ALBERT W. MICKEL, COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA, FORMERLY OF PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Albert W. Mickel age 81 of Cocoa Beach, Florida and formerly a long time resident of Port Jervis, NY passed September 26, 2018 at Cocoa Beach, Florida. He was born on August 12, 1937 in Butler Township, Pennsylvania the son of Albert and Monica Gregis Mickel. Albert graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Ashland, PA. He continued his education at Kutztown State Teacher’s College earning in B.S. in 1959, and achieving his Masters at New Paltz State College. He taught Chemistry and Physics at the Port Jervis High School from 1959 until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of Our Savior RC Church, Cocoa Beach, Florida and St. Joseph’s RC Church, Matamoras, Pennsylvania and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 471, Port Jervis, the New York Retired Teacher’s Association and the Fontinalis Flyfishing Club. He was an avid fisherman, photographer and enjoyed playing golf. Albert married Catherine R. Monaghan in 1960 and she predeceased him in September 2002. He is survived by his wife Lorraine Mickel of Cocoa Beach, his daughter Kathleen Katz and her husband Keith of Newburgh, NY, his step-daughter Valerie Guzman and her husband Luis of Cocoa Beach, his beloved grandchildren Michele E. Katz and Daniel P. Katz Visitation will be held 10:30 AM-11:30 AM Wednesday , October 3, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Prayers will be offered Wednesday morning at 11:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 12 noon at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Matamoras, Pennsylvania. Msgr.
