JOSEPH B. LIVINGSTON, ELDRED, NEW YORK

Joseph B. Livingston age 96 of Eldred, NY passed away September 23, 2017 at his home. He was born on June 28, 1921 in Port Jervis, NY the son of William and Anna Ecker Livingston. Joe proudly served our country during WW II with the US Navy on the Heavy Cruiser USS Tuscaloosa (CA 37).He witnessed the sinking of the USS Reuben James, assisting in the rescue of 44 survivors of the 159 man crew and also participated in the D-Day bombardment of Utah Beach in Normandy. He retired from the Sullivan County Highway Department, in the Town of Highland after many years of dedicated service. He was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Yulan, NY, a member of the Sylvan-Liebla American Legion Post #1363, Eldred, a member of the American Legion Vol. Ambulance Corps., Eldred and a member of the Cardinal John O’Connor Knights of Columbus Council 12663, Yulan, NY. Evelyn MacIntyre Livingston, his wife of 70 years, survives him at home. He is also survived by his daughter JoAnn Wadhwa and her husband Dr. J.C. Wadhwa of Eldred; his brother Vincent Livingston of Port Jervis , his sisters Catherine Simons and her husband William of Port Jervis, and Mary Boyd of Ohio, his beloved six grandchildren; Lisa, Stacey, Kris, Eric, Tara, Nicole, three great grandchildren; Rachael, Dylan and Inder, several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his son Bill Livingston. Visitation will be held 11 AM-12 Noon Wednesday, September 27th at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home. Deacon Richard Marino will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Eldred, NY with military honors. SERGEANT KEVIN JEROME JOHNSON, HUGUENOT, NEW YORK

Sergeant Kevin Jerome Johnson, age 50 of Huguenot, NY passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at his home.
He was born on June 18, 1967 in Duluth, MN and is the son of the late Kevin Jerome Turner and Edwina Darline Green. Kevin proudly served our country with the U.S. Army.
He married Mary-Dulcinia A. Johnson who survives at home. Kevin is also survived by five daughters: Latonya M. Fisher of Sping Hill, FL, Rogina-Bennita A. Marbury of Middletown, NY, Erika-Dulcinia A. Diggs of Huguenot, NY, Kayla-Cassisdy A. Johnson of Huguenot, NY, Kendra-Angela A. Johnson of Huguenot, NY; and one granddaughter, Mya-Isabella A. Marbury of Middletown, NY.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 East Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26 at the Family Church, 510 M and M Road, Middletown, NY 10940. Pastor Bryant Vasquez will officiate. Interment will follow with military honors at Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, NY.

WARREN E. WAGNER, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Warren E. Wagner age 90 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2017 at Port Jervis. He was born on February 2, 1927 in Port Jervis, NY the son of Henry L. and Beatrice Elston Wagner. Warren proudly served our country with the US Army during WW II. He also served as a police officer for the City of Port Jervis for 34 years, retiring in 1984 as Chief of Police. He married Mary Tedrick Wagner who pre-deceased him in 1983 and then married Joan Tanner Wagner who survives at home. He is also survived by his son Warren Wagner of Eldred, NY his daughter Allyson Malo and her husband Robert of Fairhaven, NY, his step-daughter Candace Tidd and her husband William of Port Jervis, his beloved grandchildren; Zackery, Allyson, Aaron, Ashley, Robert, Adam, Cameron, and Austin, his two nephews. Dane and Greg Wagner. Warren was pre-deceased by his step-daughgter Pamela Carroll Smith, his brother Henry “Hank” Wagner and his sister Winifred Jones. He was a life member of the Rosa-Fleming V.F.W. Post #161, Port Jervis, a member of Metaque Hunting Club, the Port Jervis Seniors, member of the Port Jervis Republican Committee and the Interstate Law Enforcement Association. Warren served on the Common Council with the City of Port Jervis for many years. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday, September 21 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. LAWRENCE E. GAINOR, MILFORD, PENNSYLVANIA

Lawrence E. Gainor age 84 of Milford, Pennsylvania passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at his home. He was born on October 7, 1932 in New York, NY the son of Lawrence and Mary Mulligan Gainor. Lawrence worked as a steamfitter and later retired with the Department of Sanitation for the City of New York. He proudly served our country with the US Marines during the Korean War. Lawrence married Catherine Gorman Gainor who pre-deceased him in 1994. He is survived by his daughter Deborah Pawelski and her husband Martin of Milford, PA, his son Daniel Gainor and his wife Victoria of Aston, PA, his beloved grandchildren; Kristin, Lauren, Martin, Matthew, Joseph, Timothy and Tyler, his great grandsons; Jacob and Justice. He was pre-deceased by his son James L. Gainor on November 11, 2015. Visitation will be held 9-10 AM Wednesday, September 20th at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. MICHAEL J. CANFIELD, SR., PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Michael J. Canfield, Sr. age 65 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at Port Jervis. He was born on November 28, 1951 in Port Jervis, the son of James and Gertrude Gillson Canfield. Michael was a loving husband, father and PaPa. He could brighten up a room with his smile and get anyone to laugh with his whimsical sense of humor. We will always look back on fond memories of him enjoying what he loved to do most such as spending time with his family, cooking and working on his GTO. He could fix absolutely everything and anything. We just wish he could fix our hearts that are so broken with his loss. To know him was to love him and we will miss him dearly all the days of our lives. Michael retired as an engineering technician from Kolmar Laboratories in Port Jervis. He was a faithful member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Port Jervis. Michael married Josephine Seddio Canfield who survives at home. He is also survived by his daughter Michele Robertson and her husband Scott of Sparrowbush, his son Michael Canfield, Jr. and his wife Susan of Glen Spey, two sisters May Oppelt and her husband Frank of Port Jervis and Korky Hendershot of Port Jervis, his beloved grandchildren, Gianna, Lydia, Adam, Ryan, Angelina, Gabriella and Michael III, his sister-in-law Ann Marie Foster of Port Jervis, several nieces and nephews including Jennifer and Regis Foster, Kathy and Michael Hockenberry, Frank and Joseph Seddio. He was pre-deceased by his brother James Canfield and his sister Dora Davis. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday, September 14 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Lawrence J. Tely age 84 of Glen Spey, New York passed away August 30, 2017 at Middletown, NY. He was born on April 26, 1933 in New York City, NY the son of Lawrence and Helen Kryc Tely. Lawrence retired as an elevator repairman for Millar Elevator Co. in New York City. He was a member of the Glen Spey Rod & Gun Club. Lawrence is survived by his two daughters Helen Tely of Briarwood, NY and Susan Jenkins of Ocilla, Georgia, four grandchildren; Amanda, Laura, Emily and Ryan, two great grandchildren, Adam and Ayden. FRANK D. ATEN, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Frank D. Aten, age 79 of Port Jervis, NY, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at his home. He was born on January 1, 1938 in Butler, New Jersey, the son of William and Katherine Werst Aten.
Frank worked as a self-employed carpenter. He proudly served our country with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He married Linda Washburn who survives at home.
Frank is also survived by his daughter, Carol Search and her husband, Timothy of the Town of Greenville; his two sons, George Smith and his wife, Amy of Glen Spey, and Frank Smith at home; his sister, Martha Rochacewicz of Illinois; his beloved grandchildren, Steven, Cheyanne, Kaylee, Trinity, Adrianna, Dakota, Emily and Peter; his great grandson, Carter; several nieces and nephews including his special nieces, Josephine, Lisa, and Mary; and his special nephew, Tommy.
Frank was pre-deceased by his brothers, Frederick, James, John and Richard Aten; and his sisters, Eva Anderson and Kathleen Hofmann.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
