OLGA K. OGRODNICK, MATAMORAS, PENNSYLVANIA
Olga K. Ogrodnick age 88 of Matamoras, PA passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at her home. She was born on November 4, 1927 in New York, NY the son of Joseph and Parania Budnik Kykish. Olga worked for the Bank of New York in New York City. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Matamoras, PA. Throughout Olga’s life she touched the hearts of her late sister and brother-in-law Nadia and Al Ulis, her late brothers, Benjamin Brigadier and Myron Kykish. She is survived by her special nephews Albert, Robert and Richard Ulis, James, Paul, Ben Brigadier and Michael Kykish, her special nieces Julia Wachtel, Lisa Comer, Karen Hamann and great nieces and nephews. Later in life she married the late John Ogrodnick and loved him truly immensely . She gained three children, Dennis Ogrodnick and his wife Judy of Matamoras, PA, Kenneth Ogrodnick and his wife Jill of Fairfax, VA, Bridget Snyder and her husband Joe of Kennesaw, GA, her grandchildren; Brandon, Kaila, Jennifer, Kortini, Christopher, Kimberly, Jessica, Anthony, Sidney, Tracy, and her great grand daughter Jade. Once she came into our lives it did not take long to see what a special woman she really was. She always put others first and had a very generous heart. If you knew her you knew her generosity and love of her Catholic faith and life. Olga’s family would like extend a special thanks to her hospice caregivers, Marge Mohr, Nancy Theodore and Marita Cortez. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 28 from 3-7 PM at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. The vigil wake service will be held Thursday afternoon with Rev. Gregory Kelly officiating. Prayers will be offered Friday morning at 9:15 AM at the Knight-Auchmoody Fuenral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burail at 10 AM at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church. Msgr. Lois M. Conklin age 74 of Port Jervis, NY, passed away at Bon Secours Community Hospital,Port Jervis,NY on April 22, 2016. She was born on January 12, 1942 in Huguenot, NY, the daughter of the late Fred C. Conklin and Carrie Conklin. Lois retired as an assembler for A&W Products in Port Jervis. She was a member of Drew United Methodist Church in Port Jervis. Lois married James Conklin who pre-deceased her. She is survived by two daughters; Tammy Conklin Durbin and her husband Matthew of Port Jervis, NY, Doreen Conklin and her companion Sue Enright of Sparrowbush, NY; two grandchildren: Katarina Parise and Jamie Meisenhelder; two sisters: Henrietta Crawn and her husband Allen of Port Jervis, NY, and Cordelia DeStefano of Port Jervis, NY; her brother William Conklin and his wife Patricia of Port Jervis, NY. Lois was predeceased by two sisters: Elsie Oppelt and Marjorie Morgan, her two brothers Fred Conklin, Jr and Jesse Conklin. WILLIAM J. DECKER, MONTAGUE, NEW JERSEY

William J. Decker age 78 of Montague, New Jersey passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 28, 1937 in Huguenot, NY, the son of Donald and Helen Dwyer Decker. Bill was a graduate of Port Jervis High School and was All DUSO participating in football, baseball and track. He was a member of the Deerpark Reformed Church in Port Jervis, a former Deacon and consistory member. He proudly served our country during the Korean War with the US Navy. Bill was an umpire and former coach for the Port Jervis Little League and a referee for JV Football. He was a member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Elks, #645 B.P.O.E. and a member of the Metaque Falls Hunting Club. Bill retired after many years of service from Verizon Telephone Co., in Port Jervis. In later years he worked as a real estate salesman for Resort Construction at Gold Key Lakes, PA. Bill was well known for his sweet corn and vegetables that he sold on River Road in Montague. A family statement read, “After a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease we lost our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. A great man who loved his family more than life itself. We always enjoyed his quick wit and charming sarcasm that will leave us all with lasting memories. He will be deeply missed but live forever in our hearts. Bill married the love of his life Lois A. Powers Decker, on December 2, 1961 who survives him at home. He is also survived by his daughter JoEllen Leeper and her husband Randy of Port Jervis, his son David Decker of Clarksville, Tenn., his sister, Denise Shay and her husband Carlton of Aston, PA, one sister in law Alice Jessen and her husband Charles Jessen, his beloved grandchildren, Randy Leeper, Jr. and his companion Megan Barber, Melissa Talmadge and her husband Michael, Bryan Leeper and his companion Ariel Stankewicz, Kyra, Gabrielle, and Ariel Decker, five great grandchildren, Cameron, Alabama, Mia, Max and Lexi, and one niece and several nephews. WALTER TALMADGE, MATAMORAS, PENNSYLVANIA
Walter "Wally" Talmadge age 84 of Matamoras, PA passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on February 16, 1932 in Port Jervis, NY the son of Howard and Harriet Ryerson Talmadge. Wally proudly served our country during the Korean War with the US Army. He retired from Union Local #17 in Newburgh, as a masonry construction worker after many years. Wally married Vera Quick and celebrated 61 years of marriage on October 16, 2015. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Matamoras.
A family statement read "After a brief, but courageous battle with cancer, we lost our beloved husband, father and grandfather. A good man with a warm heart, who left us with memories that will last for a lifetime. While our hearts are broken, we are grateful that he is at peace."
Wally is survived by and leaves to cherish his memory in their hearts, his wife, Vera Quick Talmadge at home; his daughter, Karen Codichini and her husband, Robert of New Market, MD; his two sons: Walter Talmadge of the State of Florida, and John Talmadge at home; five grandchildren: Alexa, Kyla, Jordan and his special grandsons, Jeremy and Walter, III; two step-grandchildren: Robert and Michael; three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind their precious pet, Nala. He was pre-deceased by his siblings: Jay, Mike, Richard, Howard, Edward and Ann.

FANNIE REISS, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Fannie Reiss, age 92 of Port Jervis, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, in Port Jervis, NY. She was born on March 3, 1924 in Port Jervis, the daughter of Louis and Anna Sosnoff Cohen. Fannie retired as a nurse's aide from Bon Secours Community Hospital after more than 30 years of her dedicated and compassionate care for others. As a lifelong member of our community, Fannie will be especially remembered for her warm, welcoming smile and tender, caring heart. Her greatest love was the love she had for her family. A family statement read: "She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. For anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her, she will be deeply missed." She married Edmund J. Reiss, Sr. who pre-deceased her. Fannie is survived by her loving children, Edmund J. Reiss, Jr. and his wife Doretta of Glen Spey, NY, her two daughters, JoAnn Ryder of New Hampton, NY, Deborah Carroll and her companion Bernard Citro of Huguenot, NY, her grandchildren; Anne Keller, Jacqueline Smith, Patricia Krohn, Raymond M. Ryder, Darren Ryder, Michael Ryder, and Michelle Ryder, Tammi Reiss, Austin Carroll, Lauren Carroll, and Lindsay Carroll; 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her loving daughter Constance Smith of Pembroke Pines, FL, her sister, Vera Petker, of Las Vegas, NV, and her brother, Edward Cohen, of Flushing, NY.

She was born on June 19, 1945 in Port Jervis, NY the daughter of the late Leroy and Barbara Teachman Mosher. Margaret married Sterling Granger who pre-deceased her in1999. She was a member of the Seventh Day of Adventist Church in Middletown, NY. Margaret was a passionate woman of faith. She lived her daily life as she worshiped. JAMES M. REILLY, MATAMORAS, PENNSYLVANIA

James M. Reilly, age 77 of Matamoras, PA, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at Bon Secours Hospital in Port Jervis. He was born on November 6, 1938, in Port Jervis, the son of the late Edward and Charlotte McAllister Reilly.
James was Elk of the year with the Port Jervis Elks Lodge #645 B.P.O.E., a life member of the Port Jervis Fire Dept., Neversink Engine Hose Co. # 1, a long time member and secretary-treasurer of the Middletown Bowling Assoc., and was inducted to the associations’s Hall of Fame.
Jim worked as a retired Transportation Coordinator for the Port Jervis Auto Mall.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi "Clara" Decker Reilly at home. He is also survived by his two sons, Michael Reilly of Port Jervis, and Patrick Reilly and wife, Kim of Milford, PA; his brother, John Reilly and wife, Frances of Carneys Point, NJ; two grandchildren, Molly and Caitlyn Reilly; his brother-in-law, James Hinkley of Port Jervis; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Patricia Fish, Susan Hinkley, and Nancy Reilly.
Visitation will be held 4-8pm, Thursday, April 7th, 2016 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771. Port Jervis Fire Dept . will conduct services at 6:30pm and the Port Jervis Elks Lodge service will be held at 7:00pm. Prayers will follow at 7:30pm.
Private interment will take place at Rural Valley Cemetery in Cuddebackville, NY.
