Todd J. Heffner, age 54 of Port Jervis, NY, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Cornwall, NY. He was born on April 10, 1958 in Goshen, NY, the son of the late Edward R. and Alice M. Nicolaisen Heffner. Todd was a contractor and proprietor of the Huguenot Home Improvement Store in Huguenot, NY. He also owned and operated Heffner's Trips Unlimited at the Green Haven Marina in Stonington, Connecticut. He is survived by his son, Edward Heffner and his wife Samantha of Byron, Georgia, his daughter, Amanda Heffner and her husband Jeff Marotta of Presidential Lakes, NJ, his fiancé, Robin Celinko at home, his sister, Darlene Schwarz and her husband Fred of Fredericksburg, VA., his brother Chance Heffner and his companion, Jen of Rome, NY, his grand daughter, Jena, 1 niece and 1 nephew. Donna M. Fuller, age 68 of Sparrowbush, NY, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY. She was born on March 23, 1944 at Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of the late Oliver and Bernice Quick Decker. Donna was a retired nurse's aide, working in home health care. She is survived by her 2 sons, Thomas Fuller and his wife Sandy of Sparrowbush, and John Fuller and his wife Mary of Sparrowbush, her 2 daughters, Bridget Taylor and her husband Daniel of Glen Spey, NY, and Brenda Cunningham and her husband Cort of Godeffroy, her grandchildren, Sherry, Daniel, Jonathan, Tyler, Justin, Tommy, Sarah, J.P., Robert, Cort, Amanda, and Larry, 4 great grandchildren, Jordan, Khloe, Tyler and Brandon, 2 sisters, Mary Cuddy of Port Jervis, and Gloria Corey of Port Jervis, her brother, Obie Decker of Cuddebackville, and several nieces and nephews. HENRIETTA Di CARLUCCIO
Henrietta DiCarluccio, age 70 of Port Jervis, NY, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis. She was born on June 6, 1942 in Poland, the daughter of he late Tadeusz and Marianna Mackiewicz Staniszewski. Henrietta married Humberto A. DiCarluccio, who pre-deceased her. She is survived by her 2 sons, Anthony DiCarluccio and his wife Louise, and Michael DiCarluccio,1 sister, Christina Pettit, 2 brothers, Tadeusz Staniszewski and Joseph Staniszewski, 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Henrietta was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Port Jervis. Visitation was Monday, February 25, from 5-8 PM at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Inc., 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Prayers were offered Tuesday morning at 9:15 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Port Jervis. Rev. George LaGrutta was the celebrant. EUGENE W. FOUNTAIN, SHOHOLA, PENNSYLVANIA
Eugene W. Fountain, age 83 of Shohola, Pennsylvania, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Morristown, New Jersey. He was born on August 12, 1929 in Montague, New Jersey, the son of the late, Lewis and Lula Conklin Fountain. Gene proudly served our country during the Korean War, with the U.S. Army. Gene was a retired truck driver for Rupp Southern Tier in Middletown, NY and the Ewbank Co., in Matamoras, Pa. He was a member of Local # 445 union in Newburgh, NY, life member of the Matamoras Rod &Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and woodworking. Eugene married Ellen M. Gosch Fountain, who survives at home. He is also survived by his 2 daughters, Joan McBride and her husband Ray of Port Jervis, and Carol Gillen and her husband Jerry of Middletown, NY, his 3 sons, Paul Fountain and his wife Bettie of Shohola, Bill Fountain and his wife Pat of Shohola and Michael Fountain of Portland, Oregon, his sister Minnie Storms of Sussex, NJ, 8 grandchildren, Rebecca, Bridget, Ray Jr., Brian, Adam, Dawn, Meghan, and Jerry, Jr., 7 great grandchildren, Kylie, Blake, Chase, Kayla, Joey, Nicholas and Aiden and several nieces and nephews. Anne E. Belcher, age 100 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at St. Joseph's Place, Port Jervis, NY. She was born on November 22, 1912 in Shohola, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Frank and Katherine Williams. Anne was a retired examiner for the H & M Knitting Mill in Port Jervis, and also worked for the Huguenot Hotel and The Eddy Farm Resort in Sparrowbush. She married Amos T. Belcher, who pre-deceased her. She is survived by her son, George A. Belcher and his wife Linda of Port Jervis, her daughter, Jean Bell and her husband Frank of Port Jervis, her daughter-in-law Gail Belcher of Port Jervis, her grandchildren, John Bell and his wife Lynne, Robert Bell and his wife Kristine, Frank Bell and his wife Alicia, George Belcher and his wife Becky, Kathy Belcher Possemato and her husband Todd , Brenda Leek and her husband Roy, Lisa Percival Bathgate, Sharon Makrell and Joseph Belcher, 18 great-grandchildren, Brian, Janeen, Michael, David, Brandon, Caroline, Cara, Brianne, Corrie, Kyle, Randi, Douglas, Jessica, Adam, Alex, Kevin, Stephanie Anne, and Tyler, 5 great great grandchildren, Andrew, Braden, Jackson, Lucas, Nathaniel and Leni and several nieces and nephews. Carol was born on May 28, 1953 in Manhattan, NY, the daughter of the late James S. and Loretta T. Lynch Wines. Carol worked as a supervisor for Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Middletown, NY. She married Harvey Matza, who pre-deceased her. She is a member of the Port Jervis Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Carol is survived by her son, Michael Matza and his wife Linda of Port Jervis, her daughter, Renee Kearney and her husband Kevin of Claremont, Florida, 3 brothers, Robert, James and Barry Wines, 4 grandchildren, Mikey, Meghan, Conner, Juliana and several nieces and nephews. Marie R. Engels age 92 passed peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis. She was born on March 19, 1920, at West New York, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Samuel J. and Molly O'Dowd Patterson. Marie was a communicant of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Port Jervis, a former member of St. James The Greater R.C. Church in Montague and Holy Spirit R.C. Church in Pequannock, NJ. Marie is the beloved mother of her 3 daughters, Lee Stephens of Newton, NJ, Lauren Van Winkle and her husband James of Orlando, Florida, Christine Scrudato and her husband Ronald of Vernon, NJ, 2 sons Russell Engels and his wife Patti of Wantage, NJ, and Eugene Engels of Vernon, NJ. She is also survived by her 2 sisters, Alice Carvin of Missouri, and Ruth McGovern of New Milford, NJ, her 12 grandchildren, Mark, Paul, Kyle, Casey, Morgan, Justin, Jenna, Jimmy, Michael, Ryan, Wade and Jay, and 6 great grandchildren Dylan, Patricia, Dana, Brendan, Bridget, Jack and several nieces and nephews. Robert Lewis Fountain age 66 of Sparrowbush, NY passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Orange Regional Medical Ctr., Middletown, NY. He was born on January 19, 1947 in Sparrowbush, NY, the son of the late Lewis and Lorine Aumick Fountain. Bob proudly served our country during the Viet Nam War with the U.S. Army. He was a retired store manager for Peck's Market in Eldred, NY. Robert was president of the Run-a-Muck Hunting Club , a member of the Mohican Lake Rod & Gun Club and a member of the Sparrowbush Engine Co. #1, Fire Dept. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Amanda Savarie and her husband Tom of the Adirondacks, and Jennifer Conti of Saratoga Springs, NY, his son, Robert Fountain and his wife Liz of the Adirondacks. He is also survived by his brother George Fountain and his wife Maureen of Glen Spey, 5 grandchildren, Alexander,Lydia, Grace, Erin and Rosalyn, his sister-in-law Terri Fountain of Glen Spey, several nieces and nephews and his special friends, David and Patty Ganz of Sparrowbush. Tina M. Kerr age 45 of Glen Spey, New York passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY. She was born on November 30, 1967 in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of the late Charles E. Prussia, Sr. and Betty L. Rupp Prusssia , who survives. Tina attended St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Port Jervis. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Wednesday night Minisink Lanes Woman's Bowling League and the Thursday night Port Jervis Woman's Bowling League. Tina had a strong compassion for others and was always willing to help someone in need. Tina married Patrick Kerr, who survives at home. She is also survived by her son, Patrick Kerr, Jr. and his companion, Adriana Merendino of Glen Spey, her mother, Betty L. Prussia of Sparrowbush, 2 brothers, Charles Prussia, Jr. of Clarksville, Tenn., and David R. Prussia and his wife Cassandra of Colbert, Georgia, 3 sisters, Karen Reome and her husband Frank of Shohola, Penna., Margaret Reeves and her husband Todd of Port Jervis, and Cassandra Prussia and her husband David of Colbert, Georgia, her maternal grandmother, Betty Rupp of Port Jervis, her mother-in-law and father-in law, David and Beth Kerr of Port Jervis, several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of close friends that Tina cherished. Ruth was pre-deceased by her husband Salvatore Gulla. She is survived by her daughter, Joann Maillet and her husband Francis of Dewey, Arizona, her 2 sons, Anthony Gulla and his wife Betty of the Town of Greenville, and Russell Gulla and his wife Sherry of Huguenot, NY, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
