      JUNE P. TINSMAN, MATAMORAS, PENNSYLVANIA
		
          June P. Tinsman, 86 of Matamoras, PA, a lifelong resident and retired RN, died on June 26, 2012 at Bon Secour Community Hospital in Port Jervis, NY.
The daughter of the late Charles M. McCreery Sr. and the late Pauline J. (Collard) McCreery, she was born on June 28, 1925 in Poughkeepsie.  
June attended Long Island College Hospital and NY Foundling Hospital becoming a certified baby nurse in 1947.  She worked at St. Francis Hospital in obstetrics assisting many local physicians bringing in newborns into the world.  She married William Tinsman Sr. on March 14, 1954 in Port Jervis.  They celebrated 58 years of marriage earlier this year.  In 1965 she obtained her associates degree from Orange County Community College and became a Registered Nurse.  She worked for Doctors Sunnyside Hospital as an RN until it merged with Mercy Community Hospital where she continued her career until her retirement in 1995.  
During Mom's final days several of her former co-workers told us what a good experience it was to have worked with her.  We wish to thank the staff of the Bon Secour Community Hospital ICU for the excellent care provided to her.  
Mom was a dedicated nurse who always believed in compassion, bedside manners and administering tender loving care.  She was a devoted wife, mother and aunt and a good friend to many.  She will be missed by all of those whose lives she touched.  
She is survived by her husband William Tinsman Sr., a daughter, Susan Briggs and her husband Lance, a son, William Tinsman Jr., her sister-in-law, Frances Williams all of Matamoras, her brother Charles McCreery Jr. and his wife Amalie of 
Homosassa, FL and nieces and nephews.  She is further survived by her beloved grand dogs, Abigail and Shelby.
A celebration of June's life will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Hope Evangelical Free Church, 300 First Street, Matamoras, PA with the Rev. Russell Hepler officiating.  Interment will be private at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Matamoras.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may made to the Hope Free Church or the Matamoras Fire Dept.  , P.O.       GENE GEORGE DOLAND, HUGUENOT, NEW YORK
		
          Gene George Doland, age 70 of  Huguenot, NY, passed away Monday June 25, 2012 at his home.  He was born on January 22, 1942 in Poughkeepsie, NY, the son of the late Arthur and Mildred Shafer  Doland.  Gene proudly served our county during  the Viet Nam War with the U.S. Army.  He was a retired truck driver for  Optimum windows in Ellenville, NY.  He married  LoisMay H. VanOrdon, who survives at home.  He is also survived by his daughter,  Beth Ann Schmidt and her husband Robert of Milton, NY, 3 sons,  Michael Doland of Margaretvile, NY, Keith Doland and his wife  Rosa of Cortland, NY and Stephen Doland and his wife Dawn of  Staatsburg, NY, his 4 brothers, John Doland of Kingston, NY,  Quent Doland of Salt Point, NY, Walt Doland of Staatsburg, NY,  and Harry Doland of  Pleasant Valley, NY, his sister, Esther Doland of Salt Point, NY, 5 grandchildren, Alex, Conor,  Nathan, Isabella and Blake, 3 stepdaughters, Yvonne and Lynn Van Der Veer,  and Crystal Flood; several step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Gene was pre-deceased by his 2 brothers, Arthur and Frank Doland and his sister, Zalene Pardee.  Memorial services will be announced at a later date.       JOHN K. LEWIS, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK
		
          John K. Lewis age 91 of Port Jervis, NY went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 24, 2012.  He was surrounded by his family at Bon Secours Community Hospital, in Port Jervis, NY. John was born on  February 17, 1921 in Port Jervis, NY, the son of the late John W.  and Anna Smith  Lewis.  He proudly served our country during WW II, with the U.S. Army.  He was a faithful member of the Milford Bible Church, and  choir, Milford, Penna., a life member of the Roosa-fleming V.F. W Post 161, Port Jervis, a life member of the  Pole Bridge Hunting Club, a former member of the Port Jervis Barber Shop Chorus and Quartet, a member of the Port Jervis City Band, and for many years.  John played military taps for many Memorial Day and Veterans services in Port Jervis.  He was a former member of the Drew United Methodist Church and  choir for over 50 years. "Mr. Lewis was a man of faith and love, a wonderful role model and example of the Christian life. He loved his Savior, his wife and family, his church family, and his Country. He was a good provider, an encourager, a humble servant, a true patriot. He was honest and had a sense of humor along with a great smile and a contagious laugh! He loved God's creation, hunting, fishing, music, his dessert, and was a die-hard Yankee fan! He lived his faith with "J-O-Y", putting Jesus first, others second, and yourself last, and as a result enjoyed 67 wonderful years of marriage and the love and respect of many. His family and friends will greatly miss him, but are very thankful to have the assurance of seeing him again in Heaven. Knowing that he was trusting Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness of sins and eternal life in Heaven."
John was a retired plant operator for  Orange & Rockland Utilities, Inc., at Mongaup,  New York.  He married Mary Lewis on June 10, 1945, recently celebrating 67 years of  blessed marriage.  He is survived by his wife at home, his 3 sons, John Lewis at home, George Lewis and his wife Ginger of Port Jervis, and David Lewis and his wife Lanore of Port Jervis;12 grandchildren, Brian and Lisa Lewis, Elizabeth Egoy and her husband Pastor Neil Egoy, Daniel Lewis and his wife Cheryl, Ruth Wylie and her husband Warren,  John A. Lewis, Mary, Sarah, and Jeremiah Lewis,Jennifer Lewis, Jeffrey Lewis and his wife Stephanie and  Mark Lewis; 6 great grandchildren, John Lester, Jenny, Jessica, Sophia, Olivia and Jeffrey David, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Judy Lewis of Port Jervis and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by many special friends, that John considered as his children. He was pre-deceased by his 2 sisters, Evelyn Wilson and Mary Travis.  A celebration of  John's life will be held Wednesday June 27, at 4 PM at the Milford Bible Church, 110 Foxcroft Drive, Milford, Penna.  Rev. Robert Elliott will officiate.       Fredericka Wanda Skinner, Port Jervis, New York
		
          Fredericka Wanda Skinner of Port Jervis, NY passed away Thursday June 14, 202 at the Orange Regional Medical Ctr., Middletown, New York. She was born on  January 3, 1953 in  Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of the late Antoinette Hayek.  Fredericka was a  Bus Driver for the Rolling V. Bus Company in Middletown, NY.  She married  Todd J. Skinner, who survives at home.   She is also survived by 2 sisters, Patricia Payne  and Penny McMallion, both of Minnesota.       Henry Anthony Holocher, Port Jervis, New York
		
          Henry Anthony Holocher, age 88 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Sunday June 17, 2012 at Belle Reve Senior Living Center in Milford, PA, with his family and friends by his side.  Born April 6, 1924 in the Bronx, NY, he was an only child and the son of the late Harry A. and Marie Chase Holocher.  He graduated from Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan with honors. He joined the US Army and proudly served our country during WW II, as a Medics Assistant.  He also served with the US Merchant Marines.  Henry was a proud member of the Marsch-Kellogg American Legion Post# 139 in Milford, PA, the V.F.W. Post #8612 in Milford, PA, the Middletown Lodge of Elks, #1097, B.P.O.E.,and the Tri State Rod and Gun Club. Henry was a retired electrician with Local #3 IBEW Electrical Workers Union for the City of New York. After he retired, he also served on the board of retirees for Local 3.As a young man in the Merchant Marines, Henry developed a fondness for traveling.  He was fortunate enough to take an early retirement in order to travel across the globe as he tried to trace his ancestral roots in both Russia and Germany.  He loved living and working in NYC, and would walk for miles, experiencing the life of the city around him. He was a great lover of the arts, especially the theater, movies and museums. Henry shared his love of the arts with his children and grandchildren from an early age many of whom are now carrying on that legacy.Henry loved spending time with family and especially fishing with his family and friends. Henry loved life and everyone who was privileged enough to have known him would agree.He was married to Gloria Morris Holocher, who pre-deceased him.  He is survived by his 2 sons:  Gary Holocher and his wife Lynn of Port Jervis, and Don Holocher of Matamoras, PA; 8 grandchildren: Jeremiah, Jessee Micah, and Joseph Manegold, Kimberly Holocher- Furletti, Christopher, Joshua, Abigail and Caleb Holocher; 5 great-grandsons: Nathan Holocher, Zackary Manegold, Noah Montanez, Riley and Spencer Furletti; and his long-time companion Doris Apicella. He was pre-deceased by his 2 sons, Edward Marc Holocher and Harry Allen Holocher.  Memorial  services  will be held  4 PM ,  Thursday June 21, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Inc., 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.  Pastor Tony Marinez will officiate.  Interment will take place at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY at a later date.       Vincent J. Banach, Town of Greenville, New York
		
          Vincent J. Banach age 73 of the Town of Greenville, NY passed away  Monday June 18, 2012 at his home. He was born on September 7, 1938 in the Town of Greenville, NY, the son of the late  Joseph and Bertha Dudek Banach.  Vincent proudly served our country  during the Korean War with the United States Army.  He is a member of Local 707, Teamsters Union  in Hempstead, NY and  and Local 445,  in Newburgh, NY. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in  Virginia.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman, black dirt farmer and an excellent mechanic.  His family   and friends enjoyed listening to him as he told about his life's experiences.  He was a retired truck driver for Rupp Southern Tier Trucking Co, and Yellow  Frieght Trucking Co, located in Maybrook, NY.  He married Helen J. Uhrig Banach, who survives at home.  He is also survived by his 3 daughters,  Elaine Vandermark and her husband Wayne of Greeley, Penna., Kelly Pascoe at home and Debra House and her husband Walter of Greeley, Penna. He is survived by his brother Joseph Banach and his wife Diane of Mill Rift, Pa., 4 sisters, Alice Lapriore of Port Jervis, Theresa Edwards of the Town of Greenville, NY, Caroline Banach of Port Jervis and Mary Jo Chandler of Sparrowbush, NY; 5 grandchildren, Jason Vandermark, Walter and Vincent House, Dylan and Dean Pascoe and several nieces and nephews.  He was pre-deceased by his 2 sisters, Elizabeth Geib and Cecelia Banach.  There will be no public visitation.  A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Friday June 22, at 11:30 AM at Holy Cross R.C. Church in South Centerville.  Rev. Robert Porpora will be the celebrant.           Patricia "Tisha"  Petito age 65 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Sunday June 17, 2012 at Overlook Hospital, Summit, New Jersey.  She was born on December 20, 1946 in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of the late Clinton and Antoinette Trotta Wilson.  Tisha was a retired computer aid for Anna S. Kuhl Elementary School, Port Jervis, NY.  She was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Port Jervis. Tisha married Rocco Petito, who survives at home.  She is also survived by her daughter Dana Petito at home,  her brother Chip Wilson and his wife Maura of Port Jervis, 2 sisters, Claudia Barry and her husband  Jack of Garden City, S.C., Jan Stevenson and Patrick O"Malley of Chester, NY, 2 grandchildren, Richard and Ava Marie, her sister-in-law  Maryann LaBlanc and her husband Joseph of Melbourne, Florida, several cousins, nieces and nephews.       DEBORAH ANN VANDERMARK, GODEFFROY, NEW YORK
		
          Deborah Ann Vandermark, age 54 of  Godeffroy, NY, passed away, Monday June 11, 2012 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY. Deborah was born on  March 11, 1958  in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of the late Ralph and Elizabeth  Phillipone Green.   She was a former manager for the Cumberland Farms Store in Montague, New Jersey.  She is survived by her  long time companion, Robert Biccum at home, her 3 sons, Jeremy Crane and his companion Jeannette Thompson of Port Jervis, Eric Crane and his fiancé Melissabeth Garcia of Hyannis, Mass.,  and Craig Biccum at home.  Deborah is also survived by her 2 daughters, Heather Crane and her fiancé Nicholas Wyman of Glen Spey and Alison Vandermark of Hyannis, Mass, her brother, Nicholas Mady of Dingmans Ferry, Penna.,   her  grandchildren, Jeremy, Jr., Wayne, Richie, Sarah, Mit and Eric, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.       KENNETH R. BROWN, MATAMORAS, PENNSYLVANIA
		
          Kenneth R. Brown age 82 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania passed away Monday June 4, 2012 at his home.  He was born on  September 29, 1929 in Westfall Township, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Albert and Verna Tayton Brown.  Ken was a retired Welder for Flexible Fabricators in Port Jervis and retired Assistant  Chief of Police for the Matamoras Police Dept. for 28 years.  He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Port Jervis,  a member of the Matamoras, Fire Dept., a member of the Interstate Law Enforcement Assoc., and a member of the Golden Seniors and the Friendly Seniors of Sparrowbush. Ken married Jean  E. Kent Brown on October 1, 1950 and celebrated 61 years of marriage.  He is survived by his wife, Jean at home, his 2 sons, Larry L. Brown and his wife Gail of Norristown, Pa., Keith Brown and his wife Ann Marie of Port Jervis, his daughter Tammy Mitchell of Port Jervis, 8 grandchildren, Gregory, Meghan, Jaime, Shawn, Mackenzie,  Austin, Ryan and Lauren, 3 nephews and 3 nieces.  Ken was pre-deceased by his brother Albert Brown.  Memorial services will be held 11 AM,  Saturday, June 9, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Inc., 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.  Rev.           Veronica R. "Ronnie" Cherry, age 90 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania passed away Saturday  June 2, 2012 at Legacy Gardens, Bristol, Pennsylvania.  She was born on  April 11, 1922 in Matamoras, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret Maguire Schumacher.  Ronnie married R. Philip Cherry who pre-deceased her.  She is a member of the Sparrowbush United Methodist Church. Ronnie is survived by her son, Michael P. Cherry and his wife  Joy of Bristol, Penna.,  2 grandchildren, Jessica and Alexander Cherry, her sister Margaret Burger of Port Jervis and several nieces and nephews.   She was pre-deceased by her sister, Dorothy Leiher. Funeral services will be held 12:30 pm Wednesday June  6, 2012  at the Sparrowbush United Methodist Church, Sparrowbush, NY.  Rev.           Patricia Ann Owen-Every age 53 of Milford, Pennsylvania passed away  Wednesday May 23, 2012  at her home.  She was born on  July 21, 1958 in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of  Warner D. Owen and Shirley Ann Pettit Owen.  Patricia was a waitress at the Laurel Villa Restaurant in Milford, Penna..  She is survived by her mother, Shirley Owen of Matamoras, Penna and her father Warner D. Owen of  Milford, Penna., 2 sisters, Susan  Murphy of  Milford, Penna. and  Deborah Mineau of Port Jervis and several nieces and nephews.       RICHARD W. "RICK" BADJUN, ELLENVILLE, NEW YORK
		
          Richard W. "Rick" Badjun age 58 of Ellenville, NY passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012  at Orange Regional Medical Ctr., Middletown, NY.  He was born on  November 29, 1953 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late  William Badjun and Mildred Brozic Badjun, who survives.  Rick was a retired retail store manager for Marshall's at Middletown, NY.  He attended St. Mary's R.C. Church in Port Jervis.  Rick married Robin Buhre Badjun who survives at home.  He is also survived by his mother  Mildred Brozic Badjun of Poland, Ohio, his brother, Donald Badjun and his wife Edwina of Twinsburg, Ohio, his sister, Maria Grischow and her husband Greg of Struthers, Ohio, his niece Annie and his nephews, Billy and Alex and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was pre-deceased by his  brother,  William Badjun.  Friends may call Monday June 4th from 4-8 pm at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Inc., 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.
