      DEWEY L. HUSSON, SPARROWBUSH, NEW YORK
		
          Dewey  L. Husson age 85 of Sparrowbush, NY passed away Thursday October 28, 2010 at his home.  He was born on  November 1, 1924 in the Town of Greenville, NY, the son of the late Dewey and  Acelia Lauer Husson. Dewey was a retired Engineer for  Cable Vision in Port Jervis, for many years.  He proudly served his country  during WW II with the US Army. He was an active member,  Sunday School Teacher and  former Trustee of the Sparrowbush United Methodist Church.  Dewey married Beverly Johnson  Husson, who survives at home.  He is also survived by his  daughter,  Wendy Decker and her husband Stanley of Sparrowbush, 3 sons,  Alan Husson and his wife Susan  of Troy, Maine, Timothy Husson and his wife Beverly of Middletown, NY and Brian Husson and his wife Renata of Port Jervis; 9 grandchildren, Virginia, Joanna, Todd, Amanda, Lory, Luke, Rachel, Kyle and Cody, 5 great grandchildren, Katie, Matthew, Claire, Jack and Lilli, his sister, Violet Blair of Newburgh, NY, several nieces and nephews, and his Beloved dog,  "Scout   T".

      CECILIA BANACH-RHOADES, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK
		
          Cecilia Banach-Rhoades age 69, of Port Jervis, NY passed  away Sunday October 24, 2010 at the home of her daughter Victoria, in Pine Bush, NY.  She was born on July 1, 1941 in the Town of Greenville, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph J. Banach and Bertha Dudek Banach.  Cecilia was a retired cook for many years at the Port Jervis Diner and a long time School Bus Driver for the Port Jervis  School System.  She was a member of St. Joseph's R.C. Church,  in Matamoras, Pa..
Cecilia is survived by her daughter, Victoria Wilcox and her husband Peter of Pine Bush, NY, 2 sons, Thomas Rhoades and his wife  Karen of Milford, Pa., and  Bernard Rhoades of Port Jervis,  her grandchildren, Nicole, Kayla and Lindsay Wilcox,  Tara and Christopher  Rhoades, and Jonathan Rhoades,  4 sisters, Alice Lapriore  and Caroline Banach both of Port Jervis, Theresa  Edwards of Town of Greenville and Mary Jo Chandler and her husband  James of  Sparrowbush, 2 brothers, Joseph Banach and his wife Diane of Mill Rift, Pa., and Vincent Banach and his wife Helen of Port Jervis, and several nieces and nephews.  She  was pre-deceased by her sister Elizabeth Geib. 
Friends may call Wednesday October 27, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home,  Inc., 154 E. Main  St., Port Jervis, NY.   The vigil wake  service will be held Wednesday evening at the funeral home.  Prayers will be offered Thursday morning at 8:45am at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Inc., 154 E. December 1, 1932 - October 21, 2010
Roberta K. "Bobbie" Glinton, RN, age 77, of Port Jervis, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010, at Compassionate Care Hospice, St. Claire’s Hospital, Dover, NJ. 
She was born December 1, 1932 in Port Jervis, the daughter of the late Robert and Bertha Buel Pendelton. 
Bobbie was an active member, clerk, organist, pianist, and choir member of the Wickham Methodist Church in Port Jervis. She was also a member of the Port Jervis Kiwanis Club. 
Roberta’s education includes: Smith Technical School of Practical Nursing, Syracuse, NY, with a diploma: Practical Nurse (1954). Roberta holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Adelphi University (1971) and is a 1964 graduate of SUNY Orange's nursing program. She completed her Enterostomal Therapy Professional Education studies at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute in 1983. She had registered professional nursing licenses and certifications in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. 
Bobbie was a Public Health Nursing Supervisor and board certified Enterostomal Therapist with the Orange County Health Department. One major activity of her supervisory program included involvement in developing a successful medical program and procedural manual at the Orange County Jail, which helped the jail become the first in New York State to earn accreditation by the American Correctional Assn. In 1983, she was awarded the first Orange County Dept. of Health Commissioner’s Award for Outstanding Service. 
During her nursing career, she held the following certifications: N.Y.S. Dept. of Health AIDS Institute counselor; American Cancer Society BSE instructor and American Heart Assn. CPR instructor. In 1988, she returned to SUNY Orange to complete her real estate agent and real estate broker courses. NJ a licensed realtor, she is a certified by the Graduate Realtor Institute (ORl) and is a member of the National and State Association of Realtors as well as an affiliate of the Orange County Board of Realtors. Bobbie continued to strive to improve performance in herself and her staff through continued educational opportunities, invitational presentations, and professional affiliations. 
Her professional affiliations include: Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society (an association of ET nurses); American Cancer Society board; Congressional Health Advisory Committee member, New York, and New Jersey ET Nurse Affiliates. Other memberships include: United Ostomy Assn.; O.C.C.C. Alumni Board; Orange County Association of Realtors.
Roberta’s RN, BSN and CETN experience includes: 1992-Present: serving as a clinical consultant for ostomy services in hospital and other health agencies as an Independent Enterostomal Therapy Practice Therapy Nurse. 1971-1992: Supervising Public Health Nurse for the O.C. Dept. of Health in Goshen, where she was responsible for the organization and delivery of health care services by public health nurses and allied health team members to home bound patients; validation of third party insurance coverage; provided HIV testing and counseling; responsible for the supervision and coordination of the Orange County Tuberculosis (TB) control program; provided ostomy care to home and hospital patients; managed immunization and sexually transmitted disease clinics; promoted and lectured on the epidemiological approach for the prevention and control of communicable diseases. 
Roberta was the first president of Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Greater Newburgh from 1973-1978. 
From 1968-1971, she worked in all offices of the health department staffing clinics and providing nursing services to patient in their homes as the Staff Public Health Nurse. 
From 1967-1968, she was the Migrant Health Nurse assigned to Orange County for the N.Y.S. Department of Health, providing health care to migrant residents, and assisted in establishing the first migrant clinic in the county. 
From 1964-1992, she was a staff nurse and eventually the Emergency Department Staff Nurse Relief Supervisor at Mercy Community Hospital in Port Jervis, providing patient assessments, emergency and trauma care, and assisted physicians’ emergency procedures. She supervised all services involving nursing on all shifts, and provided medical, pre and post surgical care. 
From 1954-1964, she was an N.Y. Staff Licensed Practical Nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Port Jervis, where she provided medical, pre and post surgical care as an operating room nurse. 
With over 40 years of nursing experience, which include hospital acute care, community health, prison, migrant health, and for the past 12 years, enterostomal therapy nursing, Roberta consulted, lectured and conducted workshops for nursing groups, lay persons and physicians. 
She was awarded the Tribute to Women of Achievement in Orange County and nominee for Outstanding Contributions to Her Community, and nominee for Outstanding Contributions to her profession. She was the inaugural recipient of the Orange County Department of Health Commissioner’s Award (1983); State University of New York Alumni Honor Roll (1995), and the Martin Luther King Award for Public Service (1996). 
Roberta Glinton has long been a compassionate volunteer within the community, lending her time and experience to a host of organizations. Much of her work has centered on children, education and services for the sick and elderly. She helped to develop enrichment and recreational activities for teens in Port Jervis by working closely with Project Teens.
Roberta retired from her nursing career after more than 40 years of service in a variety of capacities in Orange County. She has since become a certified real estate agent, a position she holds today. Roberta was instrumental in establishing the first Meals on Wheels program in Orange County. Additionally, she was responsible for the organization and delivery of health care services by public health nurses and allied health team members to homebound patients. She was a key organizer of a nutritional program for the elderly in Orange County (prior to the creation of the Office of the Aging). 
Early in her career, as a migrant health nurse assigned to Orange County, she provided health care to migrant residents and assisted in establishing the first migrant clinic in the county. While carving a long, productive and successful career in the nursing profession, and actively immersing herself in a wide array of community service organizations, Roberta teamed with her husband, Albert, to raise five children: She has also proven that women can immerse themselves in a fulfi1ling career, enjoy rewarding experiences as a community volunteer and sustain a prosperous family life as a mother and wife. 
Bobbie was active with the American Cancer Society spanning over 25 years, helping to raise cancer awareness through education and service. She was a member of the group that launched the first Relay For Life in Orange County. She was a member of the board of directors for the Bon Secours Community Hospital, which she chaired for 4 years and a member of the Bon Secours Charity Health System Board. After retiring from nursing after 45 yeas, Bobbie went back to SUNY Orange to complete her real estate and broker courses. She is the broker/owner of Hawks Nest Realty in Port Jervis. 
In 2007, Bon Secours Community Hospital Medical Center honored Bobbie by naming their new medical building in honor of her. She appeared on the cover of The Real Estate Executive business and Lifestyle Magazine in May 2010. She received The Orange County Assn. of Realtors Community Partner Award in 2009.  On May 6, 2010, Bobbie was honored with the Orange County Citizens Foundations prestigious Ottaway Medal, recognizing a lifetime of service to her neighbors. The Ottaway Medal represents a charitable nonprofit organization whose mission is to create an environment that betters the lives of Orange County residents. 
Bobbie married Albert Glinton Jr., who survives at home. She is also survived by her son, Frank Glinton of Las Vegas, NV; her daughters: Alberta E. Glinton-Bobo and her husband, David of Memphis, TN, Gwendolyn M. Glinton of Millburn, NJ, Teresa and Avis Dale Glinton, both of Broomfield, CO; five grandchildren: Cameron, Clayton, Curt Glinton, Prince Bobo and Julia E. Williams; her nephew, Robert "Butch" Pendelton, and a host of several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Pendelton Jr. and her nephew, Bruce Pendelton.

          Helen Lake age 103, of Middletown, NY passed away   Wednesday October 20,  at St. Teresa's Nursing Home, Middletown, NY.  She was born on April  28, 1907 in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of the late Gilbert G. Gore and  Helene Keubler Gore.  Helen was a seamstress for many years.  She married  Albert  Lake who pre-deceased her.  She is survived by  several nieces and  nephews, including Neil Barnes and his wife Linda  of Matamoras, Pa., Helene Collignon of Carolina Beach, North Carolina, Christine Hoey of Port Jervis and George and Larry  Gore.  She was pre-deceased by  her 3 brothers,  George,  William and James Gore and 2 sisters, Christine Gobel and Muriel Gore.

          Ernestine C. Cronk, age 80 of Montague, New Jersey passed away  Monday October 18, 2010 at her home.  She was born on August 27, 1930 in Sayre, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Guy A.  and Isabel Gardner Forker.  Ernestine was a talented, self-employed seamstress.  She married  Herbert C. Cronk, who survies at home.  She is also survived by her daughter Tracy Hughson and her fiance, Mitchell Chasmar of Port Jervis., 2 sons, Bradley Cronk and his wife Donith of Port Jervis, and Larry Cronk and his wife Anita of Montague, NJ, her brother Gary Forker and his wife Jackie of  Port Jervis, 7 grandchildren,Angela, Jesse, Amy,David, Ashley, Michael, Kathleen and 3 nephews.

          Dominic Lewis Presto, age 32 of Port Jervis,  NY passed away Saturday October 16, 2010  at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis.  He was born on January 19, 1978 in  Carbondale, Penna., the son of Charles  J. Presto and Vicki K. Eagle Presto.  Dominic was a carpenter and worked with his Dad at Presto Custom Carpentry, Port Jervis.   He is a member of the Port Jervis Salvation Army Corp. Church.  Dominic is survived by his fiance, Vanessa Ferguson  at home,  his  daughter, Dominique (Neko), his 2 sons Dominic, Jr.(DJ),  and Rayden, his parents, Charles and Vicki Presto of Port Jervis, 2 brothers,  Charles Presto, IV, and his companion Rebecca Degnan of Port Jervis  and Lennon John Presto of Port Jervis, his sister, Onastassia Struble and her husband  Christopher of Port Jervis.  He is also survived by his  Paternal grandmother Catherine Presto of Scranton, Pa. and his maternal grandmother Beverly Eagle of Matamoras, Pa., and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was pre-deceased by his Paternal granfather Charles  J. Presto and his maternal grandfather Earl L. Eagle.

          Irene M. Sexton age 72 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Thursday October 14, 2010 at her home.  She was born  on July 28, 1938 in Newton, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Elmer L. and Pearl Becker Walker.  Irene was retired Sewing machine  operator for Little Tots, Inc., Port Jervis, NY.  She married Edward F. Sexton, who pre-deceased her.  She is survived by her daughter, Karen Meisenhelder and her companion Mick of Port Jervis, her brother, John  E. Walker and his wife  Ella Mae of Hudson, Florida.; her Goddaughter, Rebecca D. Antcliff, her granddaughters, Megan, Tracey, and Teresa, several nieces and nephews and her  special beloved Pets, Garfield, Shadow and Dominicck. A family statement read, Mom loved to crochet, knit, playing solitaire and  Bejeweled on the computer and she enjoyed watching NASCAR.

          Pasquale Lore 1927-2010
Pasquale was born in Brooklyn, NY. Pat was the second son born to the late Augustino 
and Angelina Lore.  By trade, he was a garment manufacturer with 
factories in Orange and Sullivan counties. But his love was for his 
family and spending time with them on his boat. He is survived by his 
daughter, Keyna Hust of Jeffersonville, granddaughter, Amanda Patterson 
of Vestal, and sisters, Fanny Lore and Laura Miglionico both of Port Jervis.     Private service and internment will be held at St. Mary's

          Edgar F. Getz age 83 of Eldred, New York  passed away Sunday October  10, 2010 at his home.  He was born  on October 2, 1927 in Glen Spey, New  York, the son of the late  Emery and Margaret Weber Getz.  Edgar proudly served  his country during WW  II with the United States Army Air Force.  He  attened the Eldred Congregational Church, and was a member of the Sylvan-Liebla American Legion, Eldred, NY.  Edgar married Elizabeth "Betty"  MacIntyre Getz, who survives at home.   He is also survived by his daughter, Susan Schadt of Glen Spey, 2 sisters, Eleanor Hill of Glen Spey and Isabel Strenglein of Eldred, 4 grandchildren, Rebecca, Angie, Sebastian and Cristian, and several nieces and nephews.  He was pre-deceased by his son Edgar F. Getz, Jr.. Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.           Dolores M. Muir age 82 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania passed  away Saturday October 9,2010 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY.  She was born on March 3, 1928 in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of the  late Adolphus and Eva Brisboise Grandchamp.  Dolores  was a retired machine operator for Kolmar Labs, Inc., Port Jervis.  She was a member  and  Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary, Roosa-Fleming V.F.w. Post #161, Port Jervis,  a member of the Ladies auxiliary of the Tri-State  Naval Ship #7241, Port Jervis and Past President  of the Ladies Auxiliary of Orange County. She was and avid Bingo  player and an active volunteer  at Castle Point Veterans Hospital, Wappingers, NY.  Dolores married Leonard N. Muir, who survives at home.  She is also survived by her 2 daughters, Patricia Martinez and her friend Michael of Port Jervis, and Dolores Schroeder and her husband Alan of Matamoras, Pa., 2 step-sons, John Muir  and his wife Anita of Huguenot, NY and Jerry Muir  of Cary, North Carolina, her step-daughter, Corinne Fisher of Miami, Florida, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews  She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Jacqueline Smith, her brother Gilbert Grandchamp and her sister Rita.

          Cathy A. VanHorn age 51 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania  passed away Friday October 8, 2010 at Bon Secours  Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY.  She was born on September 29, 1959  in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of the late Jack Drake and Jane Lapriore Drake, who survives.  Cathy married Clinton A. VanHorn, who survives at home.  She is a member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Elks #645 B.P.O.E; an avid bowler and a member of the Port Jervis and Middletown Women's Bowling Leagues, and  was inducted into the  Middletown Women's  Bowling Hall of Fame. She was a member of the Cropsy Creek Snowmobile Club in  Boonville, NY and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sparrowbush Fire Dept.  In addition to her husband Clinton , Cathy is survived by her mother Jane Drake of Matamoras, Pa., her son William Schutz of Matamoras, 2 sisters, Michele O'Donnell and her husband Kevin of Port Jervis, and Kelly Drake  of Port Jervis, her grandson, Lukas W. Schutz, her father-in-law  James VanHorn of Sparrowbush,  her mother-in-law Lee Space and her husband Jerry of Huguenot, NY, several aunts, uncles nieces, nephews and cousins, and her  special  friend and beloved pet " Sabrett". 
Friends may call Monday October 11, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Inc., 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.  Funeral services will be held  Tuesday October 12, at 1pm at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Inc., 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.   Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst will officiate.       JOHN R. BERTHIAUME, PORT JERVIS, NEW  YORK
		
          John R. Berthiaume, Sr. age 80 of Port Jervis, NY passed away Friday October 1, in Northfield, Vermont.  He was born on January 25, 1930 in Port Jervis, NY, the son of the late Rudolph and Zelma Bisland Berthiaume.  John was  a Retired former Co-owner  of the Huguenot Trading Post in Huguenot.  He proudly served our country during the Korean War with the United States Army.  He was a member of Roosa-Fleming V.F. W. #161, Port Jervis, and the  American Legion Post #63 in Northfield, Vermont.  He married Beatrice Cherry Berthiaume, who pre-deceased him  on May 22, 1998.  He is survived by his son, John R. Berthiaume, Jr. and his wife Linda of  Northfield, Vermont, his daughter Jacqueline Zahora and her husband  Richard of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, his sister Diane Horan of Mason, Ohio, 3 grandchildren,  John Berthiaume, III, Brandon and Sarah Zahora and 1 great grandson Zachary, and a niece Karan Horan.  Funeral  services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Private interment will take place at Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville, NY.
