Donald K. Campbell age 80 of Godeffroy, NY passed away Tuesday July 28, 2009 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jerivs, NY. He was born on October 30, 1928 in Shewaken, Pennsylvania , the son of the late Miles and Iva Smith Campbell. Donald was a retired Shop Foreman for H.L. Ayers Trucking Co., Middletown, NY and retired from Pimm Brothers at Rock Tavern, NY. He married Marie F. Smith on July 1, 1948 and celebrated 61 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife at home, his son, Duane Campbell and his wife Brenda of Crestview, Florida, his daughter, Patricia Elder and her husband Jim of Godeffroy, NY; 2 brothers, Milton Campbell of Williamstown, NY and Nelson Carmen of Bradenton, Fla.; 5 grandchildren, Stuart Campbell and his wife Susan, Jeanne Pulos and her husband Tom Hurlburt, Kristy Emery, Wayne Collins, Jr and Michael Collins. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, and Branden Collins and Dylan Hurlburt, several nieces and nephews and his special pet dog, "Woofie"

Eugene E. Cyrek, Jr. age 55 of Middletown, NY passed away Friday July 24, 2009 at his home. He was born on May 30, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Eugene E. Cyrek and Celia Pietras Cyrek. Eugene was a Master Auto Technician for Ford Motor Co. at Mawah, New Jersey. He is is survived by his daughter Melissa Covey and her husband Daniel of Middletown, NY, his sister, Melanie Delcore of Springfield, Virgiania and 2 brothers, Adam Cyrek of Cape Vincent, NY and Michael Cyrek of Bridgewater, MA., 2 grand daughters, Gianna and Cadence and several nieces and nephews.

KENNETH W. DENK, TOWN OF GREENVILLE, NEW YORK
Kenneth W. Denk age 67 of Town of Greenville, NY passed away Saturday July 25, 2009 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY. He was born on May 20, 1942 at Port Jervis, NY, the son of the late William C. Denk and Anna M. Bamberger Denk. Kenneth was a retired Forest Management Technician for the DEC, at New Paltz, NY. He proudly served our county with the US Army during the Viet Nam War. He was an active member of the Greenville United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Glen Spey Rod and Gun Club and the Pennsylvania and New York Bluegrass and Country Music Assoc.
Ken married Beverly Clark Denk who pre-deceased him on March 19, 2009. He is survived by his 3 sons , Kenneth Denk and his wife Krista of Columbia, S.C.; Michael Denk, US Navy, Virginia Beach, Va. and Christopher Denk U.S.M.C. and his wife Jennifer of Miramar, Calif.; His daughter Doreen Smith and her husband Robert of Shippensburg, Pa. His sister Kathryn D. Heintz of Rochester, NY, 6 grandchildren Bobby, Matthew, Ashley, Derek, Madison and Matthew, 1 great grandson Evan, his niece Andi and his nephew Gregg.

HARRY LEE FOSS, MATAMORAS, PA.
Harry Lee Foss, age 79 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania passed away Friday July 24, 2009 at his home. He was born on June 5, 1930 in Port Jervis, NY, the son of the late Harry P. Foss and Beatrice McElroy Foss. Harry proudly served our country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a self-employed contractor and owner of Foss Building Co,, Matamoras, Pa. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Matamoras and a life member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Elks #645 B.P.O.E. Harry married Gloria Ann McDonald Foss who survives at home. He is also survived by his son Jeffrey Foss and his wife Katherine of Matamoras, Pa. , his 2 daughters Laureen DeBree and her husband Gustave of Matamoras, Pa. and Cathleen Schultz and her husband Jason of Matamoras, Pa.; 6 grandsons, Michael and Ryan Foss, William DeBree, Christopher, Joshua and Ethan Schultz. 1 great grandson, Aidan and several cousins. A family statement read "He was a loving husband, father and grandfather."

James M. Burns, age 77, of Cuddebackville, NY, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at his summer home in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire after a long illness.He was born on March 5, 1932 in New York, NY, the son of the late James P. Burns and Anna Unger Burns.Jim attended Syracuse University. He proudly served our country with the U.S. Army from 1955-1956. He was employed by McGuire Brothers in Long Island City, NY for many years, after his retirement in 1980 he became self-employed and continued working.James was very active in the dog show world, he was an American Kennel Club delegate, and an AKC Judge. He was a member of the Shawanagunk Kennel Club and a member of the Sleepy Hollow German Shorthaired Pointer Club. He was former President of the Monticello, NY Kennel Club and elected to the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America Hall of Fame. He was also a member of the Montgomery Sportsman's Club and a member of the County Line Gun Club. Jim had a passion for hunting and fishing.He is survived by his wife of 54 years at home, June D. Burns. Jane married Robert Charles Litts, who predeceased her.She is a member of the United Methodist Church of Matamoras, member of the United Methodist Woman and Wonder Workers of the Church; Member and Past Matron of Pocono Chapter #46, O.E.S., and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Port Jervis Salvation Army.A family statement reads: "Mom was devoted to her children and family, including her little Beagle, Penny."She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Farr of Matamoras, PA and Susan Kozykowski and her husband, Bernard of Barryville; her son, Richard A. Geraldine "Geri" O'Fee age 62 of port Jervis, NY passed away Thursday July 16, 2009 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis. She was born on November 30, 1946 in the Bronx, New York, the daughter of the late William and Helen Dunwoody O'Fee. Geri was the office manager for Northgate Manor, at Goshen, NY. She was a member of the Frist Presbyterian Church, Port Jervis, NY.. Geri is survived by her 2 sisters, Patricia Day and her husband Robert of Vacaville, California and Susan McCullough and her husband Robert of Madera, Ohio. Her 4 nephews, Chad and Adam Day and Robert and Steven McCullough. Her life-long and close friend, Susan Curtis of Port Jervis.

Frederick John Weber of Avon Park, Florida, formerly of Yulan, New York
Frederick John Weber of Avon Park, Florida, formerly of Yulan, NY, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather-to-be and brother passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 at the Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL. He was born on November 21, 1930 in Yulan, NY, the son of the late John and Eva Kalin Weber. He married Dorothy Brodmerkel on October 18, 1953. Fred worked as a carpenter/equipment operator, and then retired as a conductor from Conrail Railroad. After his retirement from the railroad Fred continued working as a self-employed building contractor. Fred was a graduate of the Eldred Central School. He joined the US Army and proudly served our country during the Korean War. He was a life time member of the Yulan Fire Dept. A family statement read, "Fred above all, took great pride in his family, had a strong passion and love for his pets, wildlife and the NY Mets."
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy Brodmerkel Weber of Avon Park FL. He is also survived by his son Frederick W. Jean Bachelder Farr Tippens formerly of Sparrowbush, NY age 86, passed away July 3, 2009 at the James River Convelescent Ctr.. Newport News, Va.. She was born on March 23, 1923 in Port Jervis, NY the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl Jones Bachelder. Jean married George C. Farr, who pre-deceased her, and then married Charles "Brad" Tippens , who also pre-deceased her. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Nita Farr Taylor and her husband Bernard of Newport News, Va. and Charlene Flieger and her husband Charles of Sparrowbush, NY. She is also survived by her son Hollis G. Farr of Westbrookville, NY, her brother Douglas Bachelder of Port Jervis, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandcildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother Harry Bachelder. She attended the Deerpark Reformed Church in Port Jervis, and was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary Tri-Sate Navla Ship, #7241. William Edward Carroll, I I, age 78 of Godeffroy, NY passed away Wednesday July 1, 2009 at his home.. He was born on February 19, 1931 in New York City, NY, the son of the late William E. Carroll, Sr. and the late Cecelia Beiler Carroll. He married Marion Hardy Carroll, who pre-deceased him. William was a retired sign painter for the Highway Display Co, Poughkeepsie, NY. He proudly served our country with the U.S. Army from 1952-1954.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan L. Carroll of Godeffroy, 4 grandchildren, Corrine and Jason Hoose and Autumn and Bria Carroll; 4 great grandchildren, Grace, Angelisa, Trenton and Colton. He was pre-deceased by his son, Susan's little brother Billy.

JEAN SCHAFER, MATAMORAS, PA.
Jean Schafer age 85, of Matamoras, Pa. passed away Wednesday June 17, at her home. She was born on July 3, 1923 in Salamanca, New York, the daughter of the late Max T. France and Caroline Stuart France. Jean was a retired Assistant Bank Manager for 30 years at the Bank of Matamoras, and worked many more years through many bank mergers, retiring from United Penn Bank. Jean was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Matamoras, member of the United Methodist Women and the Tabitha Guild. She served on the Matamoras Borough Council for 12 years; she was auditor for the borough for 6 years, and was the receptionist at the Pike County Administration Building for several years. She was a member of the Port Jervis Lanes for Women's Bowling League for many years. Jean was a member of the Matamoras Republican Committee and a former member of the Pike County Republican Committee.
Jean is survived by several nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Memorial services will be held Friday July 10 , 2009 at 11am a the United Methodist Church of Matamoras, 211 Ave H, Matamoras, Pa. Interment will take place at Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, NY. DORIS G. QUICK, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK
Doris G. Quick age 80, of Port Jervis, NY passed away Tuesday June 30, 2009 at St. Joseph's Place, Port Jervis, NY. Doris was born on April 23, 1929 in Honesdale, Pa., the daughter of the late Richard and Eleanor Roney Gregory. She was a retired professional seamstress for J.C. Penney Co., Port Jervis, NY , where she made custom draperies for many years. Doris then became an Employment Services Representative for The New York State Dept. of Labor, at Port Jervis and Middletown. Doris was a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Port Jervis, she was the church organist for over 40 years. She was a member of The Lunch Bunch of the Church, she was an elder and member of the Board of Trustees of the Church, a choir member and accompanied the choir as pianist and organist, and a member of the Presby Players. Doris was honored to sing at Carnegie Hall with Donald Marsh. She graced the community with her musical talents for many years. She was a member of the Port Jervis Antique Study Club; the Port Jervis Music Study Club, the Port Jervis Business and Professional Women; and a Board Member of Hill Hold Museum, Orange, Co. NY; and the Orange County Human Rights Commission. Doris was a strong advocate at the Port Jervis Common Council meetings, attending regularly.
Doris married the late Charles F. Quick, who pre-deceased her in 1977. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Adrienne Kaplan and her husband Harold of Beavercreek, Ohio and Samantha Bromage and her husband Jake of Rochester, NY; 5 grandchildren Aaron Kaplan and his wife Stephanie, Ian Kaplan, Megan, Charlotte and Dylan Bromage, 2 sisters, Joyce Brown, and JoAnne Gardner; 6 brothers Pastor Richard Gregory, Dale, Fred, Michael, David and Todd Gregory and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother Jan Gregory.

He was born on April 20, 1930 in Paterson, New Jersey, the son of the late Pio and Madelina Gennaro Tescione. Jack married Millicent Puglisi, who pre-deceased him. He proudly served our country with the U. S. Army during The Korean War. Jack was a retired bus driver for Short Line Bus Co., at Mawah, NJ. He owned "Mr. Donut" coffeee shop in Port Jervis, and after his retirement from there he owned and operated J.J. Tescione Realty Co. in Port Jervis. He is a member of Holy Name R.C. Catholic Church in Otisville; and a member of Roosa-Fleming V.F.w. Post #161, Port Jervis. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Jacqueline Tescione of Matamora,s Pa. and Christine Denella and her husband Louie of Matamoras; 2 grandchildren Kristopher Denella and his wife Staci and Dominick Denella; 1 great grandson Mason Denella, his niece Janet -Lee Tuttle and her husband John, great niece Jessica Collora and great nephew Glenn Tuttle, and his cousins, Angela Brenner and Elsie Puglisi.
