Donald A. Westfall, age 89, late of Port Jervis, NY, passed away Thursday, August 28 at St. Joseph's Place Port Jervis, NY.He was born in Port Jervis, NY on July 3, 1919, the son of the late John and Marjorie Moulton Westfall.Don was a retired welder for Columbia Gas Co., Sparrowbush, NY. He was a Veteran of The U.S. Navy serving our country in the Pacific during World War II. He was a member of The Tri-State Naval Ship #7241, Port Jervis, Maghogomock Hook & Ladder Co. #1, Port Jervis Fire Dept.; Life Member of Pole Bridge Hunting Club, Cuddebackville, NY and a former Member of Port Jervis Lodge of Elks, #645 B.P.O.E.A family statement reads: "Don was an avid Hunter and fisherman, thoroughly enjoying the outdoors and his family."He married Marguerite Fuller Westfall, who predeceased him.He is survived by his son, John Westfall and his wife, Frances of Port Jervis; two daughters, Dona J. Edna R. Marioni, 87, late of Matamoras, PA, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2008 at her home.She was born in Susquehanna, PA on November 10, 1920, the daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Pruden Purdue.Edna was a retired bank teller for the Bank of Matamoras and a retired clerk for the Grand Union, Matamoras, PA.She married John J. "Bart" Marioni, who predeceased her.Edna is survived by two sons, Joseph Marioni and his wife, Jane of Somerset, NJ and Robert Marioni and his wife, Sandra of Mechanicsburg, PA; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott, Natalie and Nichole; five great grandchildren, Jack, Gavin, Betsy, Lucy and Quinn and several nieces and nephews.Edna is a member of St. Joseph's R.C. Roy B. Goddard, Jr., age 69, of Monroe, NY and formerly of Port Jervis, NY, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at his home.He was born on May 15, 1939 in the Bronx, NY, the son of the late Roy B. Goddard, Sr. and Doris Grisez Goddard.Roy was a retired Chief Warrant Officer for the United States Army at Peekskill, NY. He was a veteran with the U.S. Army serving our country during the Korean War. He was member of the American Legion. He was also a former Ski Instructor at Bel Air Mountain Ski resort known by everyone as "Snoopy".A family statement reads: "Roy was an avid golfer and enjoyed life and people to the fullest, never acting judgemental towards anyone."He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Conklin Goddard. Thomas F. Gokay, age 49, late of Gold Key Lake Estates, PA, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Gold Key Lake Estates.He was born on November 11, 1958 at Monticello, NY, the son of the late Clarence O. Gokay and Dorothy F. Trainor Gokay.Thomas was a Union laborer with Labors Local #754, Rockland County, NY. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving our country from 1979 to 1981.A family statement reads: "Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors, but above all he enjoyed spending time with his family the most."He is survived by his wife, Janet L. Owens Gokay at home; his son, Ian Gokay and his daughter, Rachel Gokay, both at home. He is also survived by three brothers, Michael Gokay of Bernville, PA, Brian Gokay of Port Jervis, and Chuck Gokay of Port Jervis; three sisters, Sherri Goble of Port Jervis, Dorothy Murray of Dingmans Ferry, PA, and Patricia Budinski of Dingmans Ferry, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Allen W. Knapp, Sr., age 72, late of Glen Spey, NY, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at his home.He was born on June 9, 1936 in Pine Bush, NY.He was the son of the late Elwin H. Knapp and Dorothy Terwillger Knapp.Allen was a Motor Equipment Operator for the Town of Lumberland Highway Department. He was a social member of the Roosa-Fleming VFW Post 161, Port Jervis, NY. He served the United States Army during the Korean War.He was also a member of the Pond Eddy United Methodist Church, Pond Eddy, NY. He was a past member of Glen Spey Rod and Gun Club.He married Phyllis Caslin Knapp, who survives.He is also survived by his four daughters: Debbie Lawrence and her husband, Patrick of Interlaken, NY, Tammy Lynn Worzel and her husband, Donald of Shohola, PA, Jill Barnes and her husband, Daryl of Highland Lake, NY and Kim Kampka and her husband, Joseph of Matamoras, PA; his son, Allen W. She was the widow of Ray E. Taylor.Survivors include two sisters, Virginia T. WILLIAM K. BAIRD, MILFORD, PA. AND MANNING, SOUTH CAROLINA
William K. Baird, a lifetime resident of Milford, Pa., and also a resident of Manning, died July 22, 2008, in Manning. He was 69.
The son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth McAndrew Baird, he was born April 23, 1939, in Port Jervis, N.Y.
William was retired from Kolmar Laboratories, Port Jervis.
He was a member of VFW Tri-State Naval Ship No. 7241, Port Jervis, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served with the tin can sailors from 1957-61.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara McGraw Baird, at home; two sons, James Baird of Lake City, S.C., and Jeffrey Baird of Matamoras, Pa.; one daughter, Wendy Gardner, of Manning; his sister, Marianne Armour, of Port Jervis; four grandchildren: Troy and Will Gardner of Manning and Tom and Mary Baird of Matamoras; five stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, James and Richard.
Services and interment were private.

ROBERT "BUCKY" REYNOLDS, HOWELLS, NEW YORK
Robert "Bucky" Reynolds of Howells died July 27, 2008, at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis. He was 58.
He was born May 20, 1950, in Middletown, the son of Frank Reynolds and Dorothy C. Ashworth Reynolds.
He retired from the Town of Mount Hope Highway Department, Otisville.
Bucky served our country with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbi Horton Reynolds, at home; his mother, Dorothy Reynolds, of Otisville; five sons: Robert F. Reynolds Jr. of Otisville; Eric Reynolds of Mount Hope; and Lance, Kyle and Brett Stevens, all at home; three daughters: Debbie Eichel and her husband, Donald, of Milford, Pa.; Erin Reynolds of Port Jervis; and Sara Stevens at home; his brother, Richard Reynolds, and his wife, Debra, of Westbrookville; his sister, Linda Franck, of Middletown; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation and services were Wednesday at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Port Jervis, with the Rev. Stewart Stiles officiating.
Interment was private.

JOSEPH JOHN BANKOVICH, GLEN SPEY, NEW YORK
Joseph John Bankovich of Glen Spey died July 26, 2008, at his home. He was 54.
He was born Jan. 13, 1954, in Queens, the son of Joseph and Emma Tuska Bankovich.
Joseph was a talented craftsman.
He is survived by his sister, Ellen Dart of Glen Spey; his brother, Steven Bankovich, and his wife, Barbara, of Golden, Colo.; and two nieces, Kassandra and Sarah.
Services and interment were private.

SYLVIA ANN SANCLEMENTI, SPARROWBUSH, NEW YORK
Sylvia Ann Sanclementi, 70, of Sparrowbush and formerly of Pompton Lakes, N.J., died July 20, 2008, at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis.
The daughter of Herman Struble and Kathleen Whritenour, she was born Nov. 7, 1937, in Paterson, N.J.
She was the widow of Angelo William Sanclementi.
She was a licensed practical nurse at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock, N.J., and was a resident of the area for many years.
Survivors include her mother, Kathleen Whritenour; two daughters, Lisa Iacovino and her husband, Frank, of Sparrowbush and Kim Vandermark and her husband, James, of Loch Sheldrake; one sister, Karen Pinkle; one brother, Herman Stroble; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Tuesday and services were Wednesday at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Port Jervis, with the Rev. Ivan Csete officiating.
Burial was in Saint Joseph's Cemetery, West Milford, N.J.

DONALD OAKES, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK
Donald Terrance Oakes, 90, died July 11, 2008, at the Robinson Terrace Senior Care Center, Stamford.
The son of Donald V. Oakes and Margaret V. McKewn Oakes, he was born April 12, 1918, in Manhattan.
He was married to the former Rose Marie Schoonmaker, who died May 30, 2000.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War.
He was an employment interviewer for New York state for 37 years.
He also worked at and had avocations as a stonemason, draftsman, sculptor, painter and photographer. He was an avid hunter.
A family statement read: "Many less fortunate people were helped through the years by Donald's involvement in their lives. He was a wonderful father and friend."
He was a member of Drew United Methodist Church, Port Jervis. He also belonged to the Newburgh Optimists Club, VFW, Port Jervis Jaycees, American Legion and the Poughkeepsie Skiers Club. He served for many years on the board of the Salvation Army in Poughkeepsie.
Survivors include his son, Pastor Elliot R. Oakes, of Prattsville; two grandchildren, Dana Margaret Oakes Rogers of Winsted, Conn., and Emily Victoria Oakes Mead of Oneonta; four great-grandchildren; his brother, Harry Scrivani, of Poughkeepsie; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday at Drew United Methodist Church, 49-51 Sussex St., Port Jervis; the funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Cassidy officiating.
Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush.

CATHERINE "KATE" ZUMPANO, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK
Catherine "Kate" Zumpano, 96, of Port Jervis, died July 9, 2008. She was born March 16, 1912, in Frostburg, Md. She was married for 71 years to Joseph Zumpano, who predeceased her.
She was a resident of Port Jervis since 1940. She was employed by the Port Jervis Drug Co. until her retirement in 1977. She was a member of Saint Mary's Church, Port Jervis.
A family statement read: "Kate was a wonderful cook, and her recipes will be passed on for generations. She looked forward to sitting on her front porch and greeting neighbors and friends. She lived in her residence for 56 years, even after her husband's death in 2003. Kate's family is very grateful for the caring companionship and support provided by her friends since his passing. Special thanks to Joanna Muhlbeck, who was like her second daughter, and Joanna's husband, Ed, for the many things they did for Kate over the years. She loved you both very much. Many thanks to Tara McCann, who provided home care for the past several months, and Jodi Gunderman, who buoyed Kate's spirits with weekly visits for many years. Thanks to all the neighbors and friends who brightened her day by stopping by to chat. Their support allowed Kate to remain at home where she wanted to stay. She will be missed by all her friends and loving family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother."
She is survived by her two sons, Vincent Zumpano and his wife, JoAnn, of Northfield, N.J., and Francis Zumpano and his wife, Emily, of South Windsor, Conn.; and her brother, Albert Via, of Frostburg. Kate loved surrounding herself with family and friends and will be missed by her nine grandchildren and her 20 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Jim Kelly, of Middletown, and her brothers Anthony, Adam, Herman, Alfred and Adolph Via.
Visitation was Sunday at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Port Jervis. Prayers were offered Monday at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Port Jervis.
Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Middletown.

FRANCIS J. REOME, SR., HUGUENOT, NEW YORK
Francis J. Reome Sr., 77, died July 8, 2008, at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis.
Born Aug. 1, 1930, in Altoona, N.Y., he was the son of Henry and Blanche LaFave Reome.
A 30-year area resident, he was a retired school bus driver for the Port Jervis City School District.
Survivors include his companion of 21 years, Ruth Koch, at home; four sons, Francis Reome Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Shohola, Pa., Robert Wharton and his wife, Debbie, of Georgia, Mark Wharton and his wife, Lori, of Summit, N.J., and Steven Wharton and his wife, Connie, of Milford, Pa.; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and his extended family, James and John Koch and Bonnie Morgan, all of Huguenot.
Cremation will take place at the convenience of the family.
