Schramm, a retired medical records secretary for Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis and longtime area resident, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern. She was 63.The son of the late David and Henrietta Apfel Friedman, she was born December 6, 1943 in Brooklyn.She was the widow of George Schramm.Survivors include two daughters, Helene Schramm and companion James Pilegreno of Slate Hill and Aimee Sandifer and husband James of Japan; two sons, David Schramm and his wife June of Blooming Grove and Dennis Fountain and wife Lori of Glen Spey, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Jerry Medina, James, Harley Nathan and Jeannette; and several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Eugene Fountain.Friends may call Friday, September 28 from 6-8 p.m. at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E.           Earl L. Cherry, Sr., 74, a lifelong residence of Port Jervis, died Monday, September 24, 2007 at his home.Earl was born on March 5, 1933 to the late Edwin and Jessie Allen Cherry in Port Jervis. He was a retired Machinist for Daniel Allen Mfg., in Branchville, N.J. Earl was Veteran of the Korean War, U.S. Air Force, and member of the Drew United Methodist Church, in Port Jervis.He is survived by his wife, Elsie Fox Cherry at home; three sons: Earl Cherry, Jr. of Matamoras, Pa., William Cherry of Port Jervis, Donald Cherry and his wife, Myra of Dingmans Ferry, Pa.; one daughter, Vicki Sweeney and her husband, Mike of Mt.           Cora M. Aber, a lifelong resident of the area, entered into rest on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at St. Joseph's Place in Port Jervis, N.Y. She was 89.The daughter of the late Milton D. Haring and Cora Edwards Haring, she was born July 15, 1918 in Port Jervis, N.Y.Cora was a retired Assembler for Kolmar Labs, Inc. in Port Jervis. She was a member of The Southern Church, Eustis, Fla.; member of Pocono Chapter #33, and O.E.S. #62, Matamoras, Pa.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Millard E. Hall, and two brothers, Harry and Vincent Haring.Survivors include her husband, Richard J. Aber, Sr., at home; three sons: Frank "Junie" Hall and his wife, Sally of Matamoras, Pa., Ora B. Hall and his wife, Alice of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., and Richard J. Aber, Jr. and his wife, Sally of Sparrowbush; four daughters: Marion J. She was 77.The daughter of the late Nicholas and Marie Damberger Muller, she was born July 11, 1930 in Brooklyn.She was the widow of Louis Albano.She was a member of Most Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Port Jervis; C.S.E.A.; and the P.B.A. #168, Hackensack, N.J.Survivors include two sons, Donald E. Baker of Smyrna, Ga., Nicholas G. McLaughlin Purcell, retired from General Electric Corporation in Hudson Falls, N.Y. and longtime area resident, died Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis. She was 95.The daughter of the late Robert McLaughlin and Mary Gallagher McLaughlin, she was born December 19, 1911 in Port Jervis.She was married to the late Edgar G. Purcell Sr.She was a member of St. Mary's RC Church, Port Jervis and Catholic Daughters Court Madonna #114, Port Jervis. Marie was one of the founders of Court Mater Mariae, Catholic Daughters, Ft.           William Varcoe, a longtime area resident and retired laborer for Asue Security Co. in Middletown, died Friday, September 14, 2007 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis. The son of the late Edward J. Holden Jr. and Lila Taylor Holden, he was born in Port Jervis on February 3, 1919. His wife, Eleanor Rutan Holen, predeceased him. He was a lifelong resident of Port Jervis where he worked as a retail sales manager for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in the Middletown-Port Jervis area. He was a Member, Deacon and Elder of the Deerpark Reformed Church in Port Jervis. He was also a Member & past Master of the Port Jervis Lodge of Masons #328 F & AM; he was the District Deputy Grand Master of the Orange-Rockland District Masons; the Royal Arch Masons Neversink Chapter, and the Arthur S. Tompkins Memorial Assoc. of Past District Deputies Orange-Rockland District. He was also a veteran of WWII, 8th Air Force; and a member of the Roosa-Fleming VFW Post #161 in Port Jervis. Survivors include one son, Charles R.
