      ARTHUR R. LAMBERT, ELDRED, NEW YORK
		
          Arthur R. Lambert, a retired Mechanic for the Sullivan County Highway Dept. and a lifelong resident of the area, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the Tide-Well & Palliative Care Center, Bradenton, Fla. He was 91.
Son of the late Arthur and Mabel May Box Lambert, he was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, N.Y. on April 26, 1915. He was the widower of Elsie Heusel Lambert.
He was a member of the Eldred United Methodist Church; Veteran of World War II, U.S. Army; member of the Eldred American Legion; life member of Sylvan-Liebla VFW Post, Eldred, N.Y.; Yulan Fire Dept., Highland Lake Fire Dept., and Fire Police; Eldred Senior Citizens; Mountain Stream Hunting Club.
Suvivors include three nieces: Ann Jackob of Brasher Falls, N.Y., Carolyn Ray of Asbury, N.J., and Jannine Bennett of Farmingdale, N.J., and several great nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Charles Lambert.
Friends may call Thursday, March 1, 2007 from 2-4 p.m. at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, N.Y.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst will officiate. Burial will be in Montoza Cemetery, Eldred, N.Y. with military honors.

      LORETTA WHEELING, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK
		
          Loretta M. Wheeling, a lifelong resident of the area, died Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Twin Cedars in Shohola, Pa. She was 94.
The daughter of the late Edward C. Hoenninger and Mary Long Hoenninger, she was born May 27, 1912 in Lancaster, Pa. She married the late Dr. Kenneth J. Wheeling on July 8, 1937.
A retired English Teacher for the Port Jervis School System, Mrs. Wheeling was a member of St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Matamoras, Pa.; a member and past Regent of Catholic Daughters of America, and member and past President of the Mother's Club, St. Mary's Elementary School in Port Jervis.
Survivors include one daughter, Bernadette Conry and her husband, Thomas of Ocoee, Fla.; four sons: Kenneth Wheeling of Monkton, Vt., Joseph Wheeling and his wife, Sharon of Joplin, Mo.; Robert A. Wheeling and his wife, Laura of Middletown, and Richard A. Wheeling of Milford, Conn.; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Inc., 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil Wake Service will be held Tuesday afternoon in the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 9:45 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Matamoras, Pa., with the Rev. Robert Porpora and the Rev. August Ricciardi officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, N.Y.

      Kari Ryerson, Port Jervis, New York
		
          Kari Ryerson, an 18-year resident of the area, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, N.Y. She was 69.
The daughter of the late Albert and Camilla Hansen Sandvand, she was born September 4, 1937 in Norway.
Survivors include her husband at home, Arvid J. Ryerson, whom she married May 26, 1962; one daughter, Anita Schoonmaker and her husband, John of Glen Spey; two sons, Roy Ryerson and Kevin Ryerson, both of Glen Spey; three grandchildren: John Adams, Kody Schoonmaker, and Travis Schoonmaker; two sisters, Gonvor and Maret, both of Norway; two brothers, K†re and Hans, also of Norway, and several nieces and nephews.

      Patricia Gelderman, Shohola, Pa.
		
          Patricia Gelderman, age 70, late of Shohola, Pa., a retired bookkeeper for Flexible Fabricators, Port Jervis, N.Y., and secretary and teacher's aide for Delaware Valley School System, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2007 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Arden Hill Campus, Goshen, N.Y.
The daughter of Orville Myers and Lyversa Beisel Myers, Patricia was born in Port Jervis, N.Y., on January 15, 1937. She married George A. Gelderman on August 10, 1959 at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. 
Patricia is survived by her husband George Gelderman at home; one son, George Gelderman and his wife, Rachel of Montague, N.J.; two granddaughters, Diana and Georgia Gelderman; one brother, Robert Myers of Maryland; one niece, Kristen and her loving dog, Snowflake.
Memorial Services will be announced at a later date. Interment will take place at Montoza Cemetery, Barryville, N.Y.

      Frances M. Hulse, Port Jervis, New York
		
          Frances M. Hulse, age 83, late of Port Jervis, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2007 at St. Joseph's Place, Port Jervis, N.Y.
The daughter of the late Joshua and Bessie Conklin Aber, she was born August 6, 1923 at the Town of Deerpark, N.Y. She was married the late Harold C. Hulse.
Frances was a member of Port Jervis A.A.R.P. and the Port Jervis Senior Citizens.
A family statement read, "She will be deeply missed by all of us who loved her and her memory will be with us always."
She is survived by her son, Gary Hulse and his fiancée, Malloria Goble of Rio, N.Y.; two daughters, Carol Cullinan and her husband, Jim of Port Jerivs, and Barbara Doss and her husband, Joseph of Sparrowbush; four sisters: Janie Nielsen of Matamoras, Pa., Marie Roach of Port Jervis, Helen Kline of Hopewell Jct., N.Y., and Betty Ricena of Mifflenville, Pa.; five grandchildren: Lisa Ward, Brian Doss and his wife, Tracie, and Steven Doss and his wife, Lori, Jared Hulse, Kristian Knesel; eight great-grandchildren: Dylan Ward, Sarah and Stephanie Doss, Nolan, Noah and Karrington Knesel, Kristen and Courtney Doss; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her two brothers, Charles and Leon Aber.

      Albert Hinton, Huguenot, New York
		
          Albert Hinton, a longtime resident of the area, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the East Orange General Hospital, East Orange, N.J. He was 83.
The son of the late Orinton and Anna Johnson Hinton, he was born January 16, 1924 in Newark, N.J. He was married to the late Martha Jones Hinton.
Mr. Hinton was a retired Machinist for Interstate Container in Islin, N.J. He was a member of the Wickham Methodist Church in Port Jervis, as well as the Neversink Valley Grange #1530 in Huguenot.
He is survived by two daughters, Marie Bryan and Gail Jackson, both of East Orange, N.J.; two sons, Douglas Taylor and William Taylor, both of Newark, N.J.; one brother, Tony Hinton of Newark, N.J.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Walter Taylor; and his brothers: Leslie, Orinton Jr., Henry, Monroe and Robert.

      Ella Donnelly, Glenn Spey, New York
		
          Ella Donnelly, age 86, late of Glenn Spey, N.Y., passed away Sunday, February 4, at St. Joseph's Place, Port Jervis, N.Y.
The daughter of Karl and Mariya Lavinovitch Kiepe, she was born in Hamborn, Germany. She lived in Riga, Latvia until the age of 18. She emigrated to the United States in 1938. She was married to the late Thomas J. Donnelly. She was a member of Most Precious Blood R.C. Church, Walden, N.Y.
Ella is survived by two sons; Thomas Donnelly and his wife Sandra, of Mary Esther, Fla. and Charles Donnelly and his wife Ann of Glenn Spey; five grandchildren: Annette Konecni and her husband Anthony, Noelle Capuzzi and her husband Matthew, Leslie and Erin Donnelly, and Zack Rutherford; five great-grandchildren; Anthony, Theresa, Oliva, and Avery Konecni, and Cole Capuzzi. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Theresa Petty in 1991.

      Kenneth Herbert Hemleb, Port Jervis, New York
		
          Kenneth Herbert Hemleb, age 88, of Port Jervis, a retired truck driver for Fogelson Bread Co. in Newton, N.J., retired from Delaware Redi Mix Co. and the original owner of Deer Dale Motor Court, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Milford Senior Care, Milford, Pa. The son of the late Otto and Charlotte Schnakenberg Hemleb, he was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on September 27, 1918. He was married to the late Helen Cortright. Kenneth was a veteran with the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. He was a 40-year member of the Elks #645, a 50-year member of Maghogomock Hook and Ladder, member of the First Baptist Church, and past charter member of Pole Bridge Hunting Camp. He is survived by two daughters, Linda O'Connell of Port Jervis and Joyce Bothe and her husband, William of Lake George, N.Y.; five grandchildren: Jacqueline O'Connell, Jerilyn Riordan, Patricia Hawkins, William Bothe and Richard O'Connell; nine great-grandchildren: Mathew, Timothy and Sean Riordan, Colin, Dylan and Aaron O'Connell, David and Lauren Hawkins, and Jeffrey Sauschuck, and four great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, George and Clifford Hemleb, and his son-in-law, Richard O'Connell.       Harold K. Westfall, Glen Spey, New York
		
          Harold K. Westfall, Sr., age 81, late of Glen Spey, a retired Plumber for The Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union Local #373 in Mountainville, and life-long resident of the area, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at his home.
The son of the late John and Marjorie Moulton Westfall, he was born in Port Jervis, N.Y. on April 8, 1925. He married Alice Sjoquist on March 8, 1946.
Harold was a veteran with the U.S. Navy serving during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Tri-State Naval Ship, #7241, Port Jervis; member of the Pole Bridge Hunting Camp; the American Legion, Milford, Pa., and a 50-year life member of Maghogomock Hook and Ladder, Port Jervis.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Sjoquist Westfall at home; two daughters, Kathleen "Dolly" Schmitt and her husband, Robert of Yulan, and Susan Smith and her husband, Warner of Elizabethtown, Pa.; two sons, Harold "Bumpy" Westfall and his wife, Christine of Glen Spey, and Patrick Westfall and his wife, Susan of Eldred; his brother, Donald Westfall of Port Jervis; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, several cousins, several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Emily Martin and his brother, William Westfall.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, February 2, at 11 a.m. in the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, N.Y., with the Rev. Betsy Diver officiating. Interment will be private.

      James J. Clifford, Glenn Spey, New York
		
          James J. Clifford, a longtime resident of the area, died Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, N.Y. He was 56.
The son of the late James and Jean Haymen Clifford, he was born June 24, 1950 in Brooklyn, N.Y.
James was an Air Conditioner Mechanic for Penguin Air Conditioning in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during Vietnam, and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Brooklyn. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing cards.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Hickey Clifford, at home; one sister, Alice Ogno of Brooklyn, N.Y., and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Jean Marie Bradford.
