          RUTH M. ROBERTSON Port Jervis, N.Y. Ruth M. Robertson, a retired Registered Nurse for Middletown Psychiatric Center and lifelong resident of the area, died Friday December 24, 2004 at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis. She was 87. The daughter of the late John Canice Dunn and Helen Westerman Dunn, she was born in Pittsburg, Pa. on October 24, 1917. She was a member of Most Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Port Jervis and a member of Port Jervis AARP. She graduated from Port Jervis High School and the Middletown School of Nursing. She is survived by one son, George R. Robertson, III; one daughter, Suzanne Marie Jarrell and her husband, Victor, of Quincy, Mass.; two granddaughters: Alicia Marie Jarrell and Kathleen Mildred Jarrell; one niece, Barbara Clark Reilly and her husband, Richard, and one nephew, Jack Clark. Other survivors include: James and Lois Pagano, Steve, Terri and Michael Pagano, Brian, Lisa, Nicole and Nicholas Pagano, Adam and Jennifer Maillet; and her devoted friends: Inga Luckner, Marie Wickham and Tom Dahulick. She was predeceased by her husband, George R. Robertson, who passed away on May 26, 1991. Friends may call prior to services on Tuesday, December 28 at Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E.           VIOLA B. HEWLETT Port Jervis, N.Y. Viola B. Hewlett, a retired Registered Nurse at St. Teresa's Nursing Home in Middletown, N.Y., and longtime resident of the area, died Thursday December 23, 2004 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis. She was 91. She was born March 8, 1913 in St. James, N.Y., the daughter of the late Richard Toal and the late Marie Fries Toal. A family statement reads: "Mother enjoyed working at the Port Jervis Free Library as an assistant, and helping others at the Farnum House in Port Jervis." She is survived by one son, Herbert R. Hewlett and his wife, Lois, of Arrowsic, Maine; one daughter, Barbara Leimer and her husband, Henry P., of Godeffroy, N.Y.; one grandson, Wade Daniel Reed; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John D. Hewlett. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be private.           ALBERT E. VISERTA Port Jervis, N.Y. Albert E. Viserta, a lifelong resident of the area died Tuesday December 21, 2004 at Middletown Park Manor, Middletown. He was 77. He was born in Port Jervis to the late John and Antoinette Lorenzo Viserta on January 22, 1927. Mr. Viserta retired from Flo-Jean Restaurant and Eddy Farm Hotel. He and his family formerly owned and operated Viserta Bros. Produce in Port Jervis. He was also a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Port Jervis. He is survived by one brother, Joseph L. Viserta, and his wife, Rose, of Port Jervis, N.Y.; five nieces and one nephew. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Antony Iqnaci officiating.           THOMAS RICHARD BURROW JR. Glen Spey, N.Y. Thomas Richard Burrow Jr., an architect for Action Toward Independence, Middletown, and lifelong area resident, died Sunday, December 19, 2004 at the Orange County Residential Health Care Facility in Goshen. He was 62. The son of Thomas R. Burrow Sr. and the late Virginia Cromwell Burrow, he was born July 13, 1942 in Cornwall. Mr. Burrow graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Architecture and did additional studies in architecture at Fontainebleau, France. After college, he was a Peace Corps volunteer and served for several years with the Aymara Indians on the altiplano of Bolivia in a community development program. After the Peace Corps, he started working for various architectural firms in New York City as an architectural designer and eventually became an Assistant Vice President of Facilities Planning and Design for Shearson American Express and other large brokerage firms. In this capacity, he designed offices all over the United States and in many major foreign cities. Travel was one of his greatest pleasures in life. Most recently, Mr. Burrow resided in Glen Spey with his father and it was there that he had a home office/studio that allowed him to work as an Architectural Barrier Consultant, helping to design home modifications for people with disabilities. He was employed as a full time consultant by Action Toward Independence in Middletown, N.Y. This was the work he enjoyed the most. He was also actively involved with his hobby of digital photography. Another hobby was baking cookies for the friends of Bill. Survivors include his father, Thomas R. Burrow Sr. of Glen Spey; three brothers, Robert J. Burrow of Barryville, David Cromwell Burrow of Astoria, Queens and John C. Burrow of Glen Spey; one niece, Deirdra Makula; a great-niece; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Elizabeth Bozsody, a retired seamstress and 4-year area resident, died Sunday, December 19, 2004 at the Orange County Residential Health Care Facility in Goshen. She was 86. The daughter of the late Janos and Ida Tenke Molnar, she was born June 26, 1918 in Hungary. Survivors include her husband, Sandor Bozsody at home; one daughter, Katalin Tompos and her husband Andy of Town of Greenville; three granddaughters, Csilla Tompos, Andrea Angelini and Kinga Tompos; and her extended family in Hungary.           ELEANOR I. MYERS Port Jervis, N.Y. Eleanor I. Myers, a lifelong area resident and former assembler for Kolmar Labs Inc., Port Jervis, died Friday, December 17, 2004 at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis. She was 56. The daughter of the late Wilton and Elizabeth Hulse Tidd, she was born September 4, 1948 in Port Jervis. A family statement reads, "Our beloved mother is now at peace after a short illness. The most important thing to Mom was her husband, her sons, her granddaughters and her extended family. She will forever be in our hearts and sadly missed by all." Survivors include her husband Harold "Mike" Myers at home; three sons, Michael Myers and wife Dana of Glen Spey, James Myers and wife Tammy of Port Jervis, Jason Myers of Port Jervis; three granddaughters, Melena, Gabrielle and Olivia Myers; four brothers, Chester Tidd of Port Jervis, Ralph Tidd of Sparrowbush, Harry Tidd and wife Andrea of Port Jervis, William Tidd and wife Candace of Port Jervis; five sisters, Susie Hughson, Shirley Martin, Arlene Guelich, Linda Edwards all of Port Jervis, Rhonda Stevenson and husband Mike of Port Jervis; granddogs, Brutus, Bugsey and Chubbs; and several nieces and nephews. Gochenour, a lifelong resident of the area and retired assembler for Kolmar Labs, Inc., Port Jervis, entered into rest on Thursday December 16, 2004 at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis. She was 78. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Bessie Ennis Clark, born June 25, 1926 in Sharrowbush, N.Y. She was a member of the Sparrowbush United Methodist Church, a former member of the Sparrowbush Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, charter member of the Volunteer Fire Police of the State of New York Ladies Auxiliary, a life member of the 11th Airborne Association Angelette. Surviving are her husband at home, Walter C. Gochenour; two sons: David Gochenour and his wife, Rebecca, of Sparrowbush, N.Y. and Guy Gochenour and his wife, Carol, of Sparrowbush, N.Y.; five grandchildren: David and Lynn Gochenour and Danielle, Dustin and Jeremy Gochenour; and several nieces and nephews. Amato, a retired nurse at Arden Hill Hospital in Goshen and lifelong area resident, entered into rest with her family by her side on Thursday, December 16, 2004 at Horton Medical Center in Middletown. She was 70. The daughter of John Gillespie and Claire Hinkley Gillespie, she was born October 29, 1934 in Port Jervis. She was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Port Jervis; Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Port Jervis; NYS Nurses' Association. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Catholic School in Port Jervis; member of Board of Directors A.H.R.C.; and graduate of NY Foundling School of Nursing. A family statement reads, "The most important thing to Marilyn was her husband, her children, grandchildren and her extended family. She will forever be in our hearts and sadly missed by all." Survivors include her husband A. He was 67. Son of the late Howard and Martha Kyzer Buckingham, he was born January 13, 1937 in Hawley, PA. He was the husband of Joyce Corwin Buckingham, who survives. Burns, of Port Jervis, a retired personnel and labor relations director for Memorial Sloane-Kettering Hospital in New York City and lifelong area resident, died December 12, 2004 at the Hudson Valley Rehabilitation Center, Lloyd, N.Y. He was 75. The son of the late Raymond T. and Emily Nelson Burns, he was born June 14, 1929 in Kearny, N.J. Richard attended Grace Episcopal Church, Port Jervis; was a veteran of the US Navy, Korean War; and a member of Marsch-Kellogg American Legion Post, Milford, Pa. Richard was President and Public Relations Director for Sports Concepts Associates and a columnist for "Soccer Week." Survivors include his brother, Raymond A.           LORY J. REED Glen Spey, N.Y. Lory J. Reed, a lifelong resident of the area, a retired Truck Driver for Leisure Time Ice and Spring Water in Kiamesha Lake and a driver for National Freight in Newburgh, entered into final resting after a long battle with Cancer on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at his home in Glen Spey. He was 50. The son of the late Charles Reed and Doris Sannwald Reed, who survives, he was born January 28, 1954 in Port Jervis. He was a member of the Glen Spey Rod & Gun Club; former member of Lumberland Fire Dept., Glen Spey; and Minisink Hose Co., Unionville; member of NRA; and member of the Port Jervis Ambulance Corp. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 6 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed learning how to fly fish. He enjoyed going to Twin Island Campgrounds, in Roscoe, where he went camping with his trailer and where he spent most of his time. Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Kessler and her husband, Michael, of Bruynswick, Maine; one son, Charles Reed of Newport News, Va.; his mother, Doris Reed of Glen Spey; seven brothers, Lon Reed of Oregon, Don Reed of Glen Spey, Lawrence Reed of Virginia, Mark Reed of N.J., Rory Reed of Calif., Jay Reed of Port Jervis, Chris Reed of Port Jervis; two sisters, Dare Thiele of Smithville, Tenn., and Corinth McCooey of Sparrowbush; half-brother, James Koferl and his wife, Linda, of Matamoras, Pa.; four grandchildren, RJ, Michael, Joey and Zena Marie Kessler; and several nieces and nephews.           EMIL BROU Town of Greenville, N.Y. Emil Brou, a 6-year area resident, and a retired electrical engineer for The New York City Transit Authority, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 4, 2004 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 86. The son of the late Emil and Rose Karnick Brou, he was born May 23, 1918 in New York City. He was the widower of Barbara Fischer Brou, who passed away September 16, 1999. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Port Jervis. Emil grew up in Yonkers where he spent most of his young life. He attended City College and received his electrical engineering degree. He proudly served our country with the US Navy during WWII. In 1947 he married Barbara Ruth Fischer and they spent 52 years together until her death. He cared for Barbara with such love and devotion through her long battle with Alzheimers Disease. He gave himself completely to his family. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Black and her husband, Jack, of the Town of Greenville; one grandson, John Black; three granddaughters, Brittany, Emily and Lillian. Emil was their dad, Poppy, inspiration and hero. He was a beloved "unc" to Barbara Green and Dorothy Spencer. He was a cherished friend to Eleanor Back and many other friends who he also cherished. "The Angels are rejoicing to welcome this true gentleman to his final resting place and much deserved peace."           MAX P. ROEDER La France, S.C. Max P. Roeder, 83, died Thursday, November 18, 2004 at his residence. He was the son of the late George and Ada Fuheburg Roeder. Surviving are daughters, Margaret Lederhaas of Port Jervis, and Mary McKinley Anderson of South Carolina; son, Patrick Roeder of Westminster, South Carolina; sisters, Marge Bonanto of Otisville, and Mae Roeder of Florida; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. He was the widower of Lillian Roeder, who passed September 2, 2004, and was preceded in death by a brother, Bud Roeder; and a sister, Ida Roeder.           THOMAS "JOHN" NADRAMIA Port Jervis, N.Y. Thomas "John" Nadramia, a longtime resident of the area, and retired security guard for Wakefield Security, Queens, died at Bon Secours Community Hospital on Friday, November 19, 2004. He was 71. The son of the late Stephen and Mary Sheridan Nadramia, he was born July 23, 1933 in Elmont. Survivors include his companion, Kaija Karstins; daughter, Karen Holmberg; and four grandchildren, Christina, Michelle, Sarah and Rebecca. Private services were held at the convenience of the family.
