Marie A. Aumick, age 82, of Port Jervis, NY passed away Thursday December 3, 2009 in Baltimore, Maryland. She was born on November 26,1927 in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of the late Emmett and Florence Morgan Lowery. She married Robert O. Aumick, who pre-deceased her. Marie was a retired Registered Nurse at St. Francis Hospital, Port Jervis, NY. She graduated from St. Catherines Nursing Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. While she was attending St. Catherines she was a Cadet Nurse during WW II. Marie continued her education at Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry, NY, where she graduated with her degree in Behavorial Science. Marie was a faithful member of Most Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Port Jervis, NY.
Marie is survived by her son, Daniel Aumick of Port Jervis, 4 daughters, Marianne Sierra of Baltimore, Md, Jane Aumick of Baltimore, Joan Coulter of Burleson, Texas, and Susan Aumick of Baltimore, 5 grandchildren, Ian Sierra, Ashley Linzy, William, Jaclyn and Zachary Coulter, 2 great grandchildren, Corey and Ella, and her beloved dogs Mame, Yogi, Yoda and Princess Leah.
Friends may call Tuesday December 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. The vigil wake service will be held Tuesday afternoon. Prayers will be offered Wednesday December 9th at 9:15am at the Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10am at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Matamoras, Pa.. Rev. August Ricciardi will officiate. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetry, Port Jervis, NY. Memorial donations may be made to the RA Cowley Shock Trauma Ctr.
