Harry Lee Foss, age 79 of Matamoras, Pennsylvania passed away Friday July 24, 2009 at his home. He was born on June 5, 1930 in Port Jervis, NY, the son of the late Harry P. Foss and Beatrice McElroy Foss. Harry proudly served our country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a self-employed contractor and owner of Foss Building Co,, Matamoras, Pa. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Matamoras and a life member of the Port Jervis Lodge of Elks #645 B.P.O.E. Harry married Gloria Ann McDonald Foss who survives at home. He is also survived by his son Jeffrey Foss and his wife Katherine of Matamoras, Pa. , his 2 daughters Laureen DeBree and her husband Gustave of Matamoras, Pa. and Cathleen Schultz and her husband Jason of Matamoras, Pa.; 6 grandsons, Michael and Ryan Foss, William DeBree, Christopher, Joshua and Ethan Schultz. 1 great grandson, Aidan and several cousins. A family statement read "He was a loving husband, father and grandfather."
Friends may call Tuesday July 28 from 10-11am at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday July 28 , at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, with Rev. Lora Villinger officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
