DORIS A. SWEENEY, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Doris A. Sweeney, age 75, of Port Jervis, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis.She was born on May 22, 1933 at Eldred, NY, the daughter of the late Richard and Louise Schwartz Haas. Doris married James W. Sweeny, who predeceased her.She was a retired waitress for the Evergreen Restaurant, Milford, PA.Doris is survived by her three sons: James F. Sweeny of San Antonio, TX, Kenneth Sweeney and his wife, Cindy of the Town of Greenville, NY, and Michael Sweeney and his wife, Vicki of Port Jervis, NY; five grandchildren: Shannon, Shahn, Kenneth, Kevin, and Kathryn; two great grandchildren, Cheyenne and Emma; her brother, Richard Haas of Florida; her sister, Marion Mapes of Forestburgh, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three brothers: Maurice "Duke" Haas, Harry and Donald Haas, and her daughter-in-law, Doris Sweeney.Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
