Kathleen DeAngelo, age 62, of Matamoras, Pa., passed away Friday May 14, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, NY. She was born on April 30, 1948, in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Hornbeck DeAngelo. Kathleen was a customer representative for TD Bank of Port Jervis, NY. She was also the former office manager for the Port Jervis Country Club. A family statement read, " Kathleen was closely tied to the community through her extended family, long time banking customers and many life-long friends. She was an avid bowler, but enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends most of all."
Kathleen is survived by her son, Bruce DeAngelo and his wife Leila of Sparrowbush, NY, 2 sisters, Phyllis Basham of Matamoras, Pa. and Joan Balch and her husband Leonard of Matamoras and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother Michael DeAngelo, her brother-in-law William Basham and her nephew David Basham. Friends may call Sunday May 16, from 2-5 pm at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Inc., 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Funeral services will be held Monday May 17, 2010 at 10:30am at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Inc., 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY with Rev. James Brosius officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Matamoras, Pa.
