THOMAS NORRIS, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Thomas J. Norris, age 95, of Port Jervis, NY, passed away Monday, March 30, 2009 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis.He was born on August 27, 1913 in Montague, NJ, the son of the late Robert and Fannie Monds Norris.Tom was a retired Electrician and Plumber for The John Innella Building Co., Sparrowbush, NY. He married Marion Tooley Norris, who predeceased him.Tom proudly served our country with the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a member of the Roosa-Fleming VFW Post #161, Port Jervis.He is survived by his two daughters, Judy Obermeyer and her husband, Jim of Glen Spey, NY and Carol Talmadge and her husband, Van of Red Hook, NY; his grandchildren: Sonia Quintanar, Leah Casterlin and Colin Talmadge and his wife, Kamila; several nieces and nephews, including his special niece, Doris Shevlin of Montague, NJ. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Stacy Norris-Quintanar, several sisters and brothers and his also predeceased by his beloved pet dog, "Rex".Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
