DONA M. JACOBS KURTZ, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Dona M. Jacobs Kurtz, age 61, late of Port Jervis, NY, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis.She was born in Sparrowbush, NY on November 5, 1946, the daughter of the late Daniel and Esther DeGroat Jacobs.Dona was an assembler for Kolmar Labs in Port Jervis.A family statement reads: "Dona was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. Dona enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. She loved to sew, craftmaking, and volunteered her time to many organizations."She married David A. Kurtz Sr., who predeceased her.Dona is survived by her two sisters, Gale Witkowski and Danella Jacobs of Port Jervis; two daughters, Georgieann Quick and her husband, Ivan Sr. and Billie-Jo Mann, all of Port Jervis; two sons, David A. Kurtz, Jr. and wife, Stacey of Port Jervis and Jonathan Kurtz and wife, Darlene of Cochecton, NY; nine grandchildren, Ivan Jr., Jennifer, Justin, Stephanie, Kristin, David, Brandi, McKayla, and Joshua; one great-granddaughter, Abbigale and several nieces and nephews.Friends may call Saturday, September 20 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Knight Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E Main St, Port Jervis, NY.Services will be held at 12 noon at the funeral home.Interment will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY.Memorial contributions may be made to the Sunshine Fund, c/o Kolmar Labs, Inc., 20 West King Street, Port Jervis, NY 12771.Arrangements are by the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home.
