EDNA R. MARIONI, MATAMORAS, PA.

Edna R. Marioni, 87, late of Matamoras, PA, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2008 at her home.She was born in Susquehanna, PA on November 10, 1920, the daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Pruden Purdue.Edna was a retired bank teller for the Bank of Matamoras and a retired clerk for the Grand Union, Matamoras, PA.She married John J. "Bart" Marioni, who predeceased her.Edna is survived by two sons, Joseph Marioni and his wife, Jane of Somerset, NJ and Robert Marioni and his wife, Sandra of Mechanicsburg, PA; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott, Natalie and Nichole; five great grandchildren, Jack, Gavin, Betsy, Lucy and Quinn and several nieces and nephews.Edna is a member of St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Matamoras, PA and the Alter and Rosary Society of St. Joseph's Church.Friends may call Sunday, August 24, from 2-4 p.m. at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. The vigil wake service will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.Prayers will be offered Monday, August 25 at 9:15 a.m. at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Matamoras, PA, with Rev. August Ricciardi as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's R.C.
