Merkenschlager and Grace Magaw Merkenschlager, she was born March 27, 1915 in Port Jervis, NY. She was the widow of Martin Walter.Evelyn was a retired bookkeeper for D.C. Gordon Co. in Port Jervis, NY.Survivors include her son, John M. Walter of Middletown; three sisters: Beatrice Smith of Fort Pierce, FL, Shirley Carlton Warnshuis of Port Jervis, NY, and Ethel Osterhout of Montgomery, NY; granddaughter, Jenna M.
