William P. Coughlin age 91 of Montague, New Jersey passed away July 13, 2021 at his home. He was born on December 26, 1929 in Yonkers, NY, the son of James F. and Edna Bardell Coughlin. Bill proudly served our country with the US Navy as a Seebee from 1951-1953. He retired as a senior staff engineer for Bell Telephone Co, in New York City, NY after many years of dedicated service. He was a faithful member of the Minisink Reformed Church in Montague, NJ, a member of the Montague Grange, and M.A.R.C.H. William married Gloria Darville who pre-deceased him in 2007. He is survived by his daughter, Virginia Caputo and her husband Mark of Montague, his two sons; William Coughlin and his wife Deborah of Montague, and Douglas Coughlin and his wife Kay of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, his beloved four grandchildren; Frank and Ryan Caputo, Alexandra and Timothy Coughlin, his great grandchildren; Belle, Brody, Braytin, Corbin, Violet, and William, his sister-in-law Kathryn Coughlin of Michigan, his three nephews; Kenneth, Robert, John and his niece Laura. He was pre-deceased by his brother James Coughlin. Memorial services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, July 17th at the Minisink Reformed Church in Montague, NJ. Rev. Michael Sweeney will officiate. Interment will follow at the Montague Reformed Church Cemetery.
