Gloria Toback Waldman, age 63 of the Town of Greenville, NY passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 at her home. She was born on January 10, 1951 in Newburgh, NY, the daughter of the late Bernard and Shirley Slott Toback. Gloria worked as a certified dental assistant with her husband Dr. Larry Waldman at Gloria Dental, Middletown, NY.
Gloria was the love of my life. Her smile was the most beautiful in the world, lighting up the room with the special "glow" of hers. Her name fit her well , she was my "Glorious Gloria". Generous, compassionate, loyal, loving, and especially forgiving were a few of the virtues this special women possessed. But she was also a " tough cookie" and watch out if caught doing the "wrong" thing to her friends or herself. How lucky was I to be given this beautiful gift from god. Certainly I didn't deserve it! The long winding road of my crazy life's journey always led back to Gloria. She was my rock always there to bail "crazy" Larry out of another jackpot.Gloria was my wife, as well as my certified dental assistant. Always putting the patient care first, even at the expense of driving her husband mad! But that was one of the things I loved most about her. Patients upon entering the operatory, the first question they asked was " where is Gloria" !!! She was the comforter, their protection from the "evil" Dr. Waldman! Gloria was an avid dog lover of our Golden's retrievers Sunny, Connor,Casper and Stoney, next to me, they were the luckiest dogs in the world. How she looked and cared for " our boys" only further illustrated the beauty of her soul.
Gloria was a loving and loyal sister to her brother Charles, sisters Linda and Renee. A better friend you couldn't ask for. I am devastated by her passing . She will forever be my " brown -eyed girl". Heartbroken am I and life will never be the same without her!
Love you eternally my Glorious Gloria
