JANE L. TROCHIANO, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Jane L. Trochiano, age 66, of Port Jervis, NY, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Andover, New Jersey.  Jane was born on  May 17, 1947 in Port Jervis, New York, the daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve Kelly Obermeyer.  She was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Port Jervis.  Jane married Alfred A. Trochiano, who pre-deceased her.  She is survived by her two sons, Anthony Trochiano and his wife Danielle of Port Jervis., and Charlie Trochiano of  Wurtsboro, NY, her four brothers,  Thomas Obermeyer and his wife Theresa of San Diego, California, Joseph Obermeyer and his wife Linda of Sparrowbush,  David Obermeyer and his wife Robin of Huguenot, NY and James Obermeyer and his wife Judy of Monterey, Tenn., three sisters, Ann Obermeyer  of Tucson, Arizona, Susan Hofbaur and her husband George of  Huguenot, NY,  and Mary Gatti of Wells, Vermont, and several nieces and nephews.  Friends may call Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.  Prayers will be offeredThursday, Sept. 26, at 9:15 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Port Jervis, NY. Rev. George Hafemann will be the celebrant.  Cremation will follow at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA.  Arrangements are by the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Inc., 154 E. PETER "MR. PETE" PERKOWSKI, TOWN OF GREENVILLE, NEW YORK

Peter "Mr. Pete" Perkowski, Jr., age 77 of the Town of Greenville, NY passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his home.  He was born  on October 8, 1935 in Warwick, New York, the son of the late  Peter and  Julia Kalesa Perkowski.  Pete was a retired brick layer for BAC Local 5 , Newburgh, New York.   He was and avid gardener, and enjoyed refinishing  furniture and spending time with his grandchildren.   Pete married Mary  J. Marchant Perkowski, who survives at home.  He is also survived by his  two sons, Stephen Perkowski and his wife  Jacque of the Town of Greenville, and Gary Perkowski and his wife  Darla of the Town of Greenville, his daughter, Carol Fitzgerald and her husband Edward of the Town of Greenville , eight grandchildren, Julie, Kristie,  Denise, Andrea, Sean, Daniel, Peter and Juan, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews..  Pete was pre-deceased by his two brothers Daniel and Gabriel Perkowski.  Friends may call Sunday, September 22 from 2-4 PM at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Inc., 154 E. BETTY L. LACONI, MONTAGUE, NEW JERSEY

Betty L. Laconi, age 91 formerly of Montague, New Jersey, passed away Saturday, September 14,  at Bay Health Ctr., Dover, Delaware.  Betty was born  on April 2, 1922 in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of the late Samuel and Edith Henion Allen.  Betty was a retired clerk for Tri-State Martinizing in Montague, NJ.  She was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Port Jervis. Betty married Joseph Laconi, who pre-deceased her.   She is survived by her two daughters,  Maria Manion of  Dover, Delaware and Annette Deserto and her husband Anthony of Camden, Delaware, 2 grandchildren, Dawn Patin and Andrew Deserto, 3 great grandchildren, Savannah Lee Patin, Annalise and Anthony Deserto and several nieces and nephews.  Betty was pre-deceased by  eleven sisters and one brother.  Graveside services will be held  Wednesday, September 18, at 11 AM at St. Mary's  Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY.  Rev. George Hafemann will officiate.  Arrangements are by the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Inc., 154 E. LILLIAN B. LENAHAN, PORT JERVIS, NEW YORK

Lillian B. Lenahan age 92, of Port Jervis, NY, passed away  Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis.  She was born on  January 11, 1921 in New York City, NY, the daughter of the late Walter and Minnie Dorry Shepherd . She retired as a payroll clerk for the Ladies Home Journal magazine in New York City, NY.   Lillian was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, in Port Jervis, a member of the Ladies Red Hat Society and a member of the Volunteers for Bon Secours Community  Hospital, where she worked at the gift shop.  Lillian married  John Lenahan, who pre-deceased her.  She is survived by her son,  John Lenahan and his wife Rose of Sussex, New Jersey, 2 grandsons, Martin and Richard  Lenahan and her grand daughter Laurie Lenahan, her great grandson Aiden and several nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by her  son Richard Lenahan.  Visitation will be held Sunday, September 15, from 2-4 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 16,  at 10 AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 46 Ball St., Port Jervis, NY.  Interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.  Arrangements are by the Knight-Auchmody Funeral Home, Inc., 154 E. Thomas F. Sweeney, age 74, of the Town of Greenville, NY, passed away Saturday,  September 7, 2013, at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis.

He was born on July 21, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Thomas F. and Louise Girrbach Sweeney.

Tom was a retired Manager of information services for Dial America, in Mahwah, NJ.

He was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Port Jervis.

Thomas married Patricia Manion Sweeney, who survives at home. He is also survived by his three daughters: Wendy Wheeling and her husband, Richard of Milford, CT, Donna Stawski and her husband, David of Huguenot, and Karen DeGroat and her husband, Scott of Westtown, NY; his two sons: Kevin Sweeney and his wife, Andrea of Newtown, PA and Keith Sweeney and his wife, Julie of the Town of Greenville; 12 grandchildren: Lauren and Jason Perry, Amanda and Christopher Stawski, Josh and Heidi DeGroat, Mikayla and Brandon Cranfield, Ian, Aaron, Noah and Allison Sweeney. He was predeceased by his sister, Deborah Sweeney.

Friends may call Tuesday, September 10th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.Prayers will be offered Wednesday, September 11th, at 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Port Jervis, NY. Cremation will follow at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA.

ESTHER SUSANNA BENSLEY, FRUITLAND, FLORIDA, FORMERLY OF SPARROWBUSH, NEW YORK

Esther Susanna Bensley age 93 of Fruitland, Florida, formerly of Sparrowbush, NY passed away Monday, September 2, 2013 in Orlando, Florida. The daughter of Norman E. and Anna May Lawson McKeeby, she was born in Sparta, NJ on August 24, 1920. Esther was a retired assembler for Kolmar Laboratories. In 1939 she married Lawrence Oliver Bensley who predeceased her in 1971. Both Esther and Larry had a love for camping. Many weekends, vacations and summers were spent camping on Bailey's Lake in Kiamesha, NY. with their children and their families and friends. Survivors include her children, daughters, Mary Tippens, of Sparrowbush, NY, Latricia of Lakeland, FL, Sandra and husband Robert of Sparrowbush, NY, son Lawrence Jr. and wife Diane of Port Jervis, NY, son Gary and wife Diane of El Jo Bean, Fl, daughter and caregiver Sheila Delgado and husband Ray of Fruitland, FL, son Charles and wife Cheryl, of Sparrowbush, NY, son Neal and wife Michele of Matamoras, PA. She is further survived by a son-in-law Richard Beschinski of Valparaiso, IN, daughter-in-law Jeanette of the state of Florida, sister-in-law Joan Bond and husband Robert of Sparrowbush, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jodi, Bonnie, Randy, Danny, Tracey, Carol, Betty, Susan, Tony, Tina, Joey, Phillip, Terri, Tammy, Trina, Tasha, Bobbi-Jo, Shannen, Janene, Ronny, Anna, William, Sacha, Ramon, Dawn, Miranda, Jennifer, Kristina, Keri, & Karlee. She leaves behind several great grandchildren, great, great, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Esther was predeceased by a son Randy and a daughter Valerie. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 8, form 2-4 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Graveside Services will be held Monday, Sept. 9 at 11 AM at Clove Cemetery, Wantage, NJ..
